The sudden silence of Tsunade made the atmosphere in the library stagnant. Sora glanced at Tsunade wondering if she was having an inner monologue. Sometimes his thoughts spiral in such a weird direction.
Anyway, breaking the ice, Sora hesitantly asked, "Lady Tsunade? Are you okay?"
Tsunade broke away from her thoughts and glanced at the white-haired boy. Then, she raised her arm pointing to a bookshelf, crammed with numerous books, and said those cursed words,
"Read this."
Sora glanced at the bookshelf, filled to the brim with numerous books, and sighed. He had already expected that. After all, as a previous med student, he was already accustomed to it.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade."
Tsunade was surprised by the boy not making a small ruckus. After all, those were a lot of books, and teenagers of his age usually hate the sight of studying.
So curiously she asked, "Don't you feel angry for making you study these books instead of teaching you medical ninjutsu directly?"
Sora glanced at Tsunade and replied as a matter of fact, "Only with a good foundation can I become a good medic. I am not afraid to fail, but afraid not to try."
Hearing those mature words, Tsunade was stunned. Then, remembering that the old man told that Sora wants to learn medical ninjutsu to treat his friend and never feel the helplessness of being incapable to help. Tsunade also empathized with the young boy.
She has also experienced the powerlessness to save the life of her beloved so she can also understand the resolution of the boy. She had also embarked on the path of medical ninjutsu to save the lives of her comrades. So, instead of going to sleep, she said a few more words:
"In the entire Konoha, there are only a few medical ninjas so you can understand the difficulty of learning medical ninjutsu."
"Murdering ten people is easy, but saving even one is harder. After reading these books and understanding the basic knowledge, I will teach you medical ninjutsu!"
After saying that, Tsunade walked toward a sofa in the corner of the library and laid down. Soon, only a few smooth breathing sounds can be heard.
Sora then glanced around the library as he suddenly felt a bit nostalgic. The smell of the library is different. He could smell new ideas just by walking in, the powerful smell of imagination coming from the laying books on the shelves that want to be read, The antique smell of the pages of old books, the untouched books lying on the shelves, the smell of the dust coming from these books.
Sora walked towards the bookshelf. Touching the smooth bindings of the books made him feel that he crossed the time-space again and returned to when he was in his college days.
Shaking his head slightly, Sora picked up the book explaining human biology and sat by the window. Soon, only the sound of turning pages and the soft breathing of Tsunade echoed throughout the library.
Sora flipped through the pages as he recalled the knowledge he had amassed over his previous years. The buried memory gradually reawakened as Sora reviewed the memory with a new perspective.
For example, a Broken phalanx can make the enemy unable to form a seal.
Similarly, While kicking the calf bone can make the enemy incapacitated, it is extremely hard. So instead, attacking the patella on the upper part of the calf bone which is very weak is both easy and labor-saving.
Soon, Sora finished the first book. His superior mental strength has also benefitted his memory, he can remember the content of the book very easily. Moreover, he didn't learn from scratch but picked out the main issues and places he wasn't familiar with.
Many part of the medical sciences of the two worlds are the same, so even though terms are changed their essence is the same.
Glancing at the dozens of books left, Sora let go of his reservation and made a few shadow clones to help him study. Soon, multiple sounds of turning pages echoed throughout the library.
Sora soaked up knowledge like a sponge as he gradually understood the principle of medical ninjutsu.
Sora sometimes frowned, looked surprised, sometime looked happy, with the myriad of emotions accompanying him, he silently read the books.
The eyelashes of Tsunade fluttered, as she opened her eyes. She looked at the boy studying then saw a white coat covering her body.
'At least the boy has a heart.'
