Ch. 4 I Learn Quickly.

" Shin, you can rest assured. We will follow the order you give us to the best of our ability. This position is an important strategic location for our Fire Country, we will not give up easily. Otherwise, if we let Kumo Ninjas pass this position, it will bring a huge threat to Konoha. " a ninja who Shin recognizes as Aowu, course Shin to a stop. Shin later replies to the ninja to go and prepare everything that they have including anyone who knows the barrier array to put them up as much as possible. Prompting the other ninja who took notice of their exchange, to move with alertness and immediately.

In the Naruto world, the strong prey on the weak. It is common knowledge to those who know how the world works, and how cruel fate can be. What's more, since Shin knows the upcoming future event. At first, he wanted things to be as similar to the canon as possible, to better his chances. Later, realizing the potential his golden finger brings him, he discards that thought out the window and decides to do this as he wants to.

Pulling himself back, Shin reevaluated his decision and the orders he has given out. If by any chance Kumo ninjas successfully breach their defenses. Konoha will become nothing more than a wasteland, with no one to stop them. Also, even if the mission is a success, the village will still despise them. When Donzo hears of his Roots being taken down by an Uchiha and agreed by all the team members. He will do his earnestly to cripple them all.

Concluding his thoughts on the matter at hand, his action after, and moving forward later. Shin spoke alerting the ninjas that were around his vicinity.

"By the way, do any of you have a Ninjutsu Scroll with you?"

Shin knows with the system he can learn any ninjutsu to full level and bring the best result out of it. He still has 3 days to prepare and enhance his strength and combat technique this opportunity can give. Moreover, The A and B combo is not easy to deal with.

Shin raises his head and realizes everyone is looking at him with a questioning gaze. As expectancy leaves him; " so, there is no one with scrolls?"

As realization hits, palming himself inwardly, cringe takes over his reason for a moment. After all, during the wartime situation. Who is in their right mind to bring a scroll into battle?

Moreover, the village has a centralized Ninjutsu Scroll Training Room, and most of the Ninjutsu are passed down by teachers or elders. Very few people would carry a Ninjutsu Scroll with them.

If they ever die on the battlefield, not only do they lose their life, but the scroll will also fall into the hands of the enemy.

Tsuki Kyōyū stepped out and said; "Shin, I don't know why you want a Ninjutsu Scroll, but this is an A-rank Ninjutsu I prepared for my daughter, Raiton release: Thunder Fall. I was going to give it to her after the mission was completed."

"Since we are making our last stand here. It's better to give it to you than let it fall into the enemy's hand."

" Your daughter?" Shin queried back and looked at Tsuki's face. There was a vaguely familiar face; " Your daughter's name is Yugao?"

"Haha. Tsuki, your daughter is outstanding. Even Shin paid attention to her." A big man laughed heartily.

Tsuki frowned and said; " Shut up, you bastard, always introduce your son to me for my baby daughter, but I swear, he must at least be a Tokubetsu Jonin. "

"My son Inu Lan will soon become a Chunin, Tokubetsu Jonin is just around the corner." Inu Feng quickly retorted.

"Tsuki, what do you think of Shin? His strength is capable of achieving great things, and he will be able to catch up with our group of Jonin. " An unpretentious voice came out among the team.

Shizune stagnant realizing what that statement meant and said anxiously; " stop kidding around. Give the scroll to Shin first, it might be of use to him."

As some grins mark the faces of the ninja around her, one spoke; "Shizune, why are you blushing? Do you like Shin by any chance? " With a burst of laughter, the oppressive atmosphere in the cave slightly dissipated.

Tsuki returns his gaze to Shin and says while holding out the scroll; " Now Shin, with your powerful genjutsu. You will surely reach Tokubetsu Jonin in no time, so this scroll is yours."

While Tsuki finishes what he had to say to Shin, the others come up to Shin and hand him letters and personal belongings with requests that he pass them to their family member.

Looking at them Shin smiles and shakes his head, he promptly denies the request and tells them if they want it delivered. They have to deliver it to themself.

Shin knows that he is the only one capable of returning alive if anything goes wrong but he plans not to let it happen in the first place. He later said that all of them will be returning home and under his leadership, he will make sure of it. Reassuring everyone again of their success.

When Shin wants to walk away to find a clearing to learn the ninjutsu technique, Shizune stops him by tugging his sleeve.

"Shin, can you help me return this Kunai to Tsunade-sama?" Shizune couldn't help but ask: "This is the gift she gave me for the apprenticeship …"

Shin spoke cutting Shizune off while shifting his gaze from Shizune to the ninjas that were still around him and back to her.

"Do you still think we will die in this battle?" Shin said faintly; "When Mountain Stroke and the others decided to retreat, why didn't you agree?"

Everyone froze at the question Shin has said.

In their eyes, Shin was already strong enough to reach Tokubetsu Jonin. However, there are hundreds of Kumo ninjas, and the A and B combo is known to be unstoppable by many in the Shinobi World.

"Shin, please don't misunderstand, we are not cowards who are afraid of death. When we became ninjas and accepted the mission, we were already prepared to die." Said Tsuki hastily.

"What's more, this pass is the main passage to Konoha. If we let the Kumo go straight through, Konoha will be attacked from both sides, and our families and children will be threatened. So, we would rather die than retreat!"

Inu Feng also nodded and said in a deep voice. "Shin, we have always underestimated you. Never did we expect that you were proficient in such a powerful illusion technique. We already have the heart to fight to the death here. We only hope that you can help us bring back some things."

As Inu finished, the others stepped forward holding onto their requested item hoping Shin would take it.

Shin listens to them while keeping his gaze on Shizune pleading eyes that say for him to help her, to help them in this last request.

Letting out a deep breath, Shin spoke; "Sorry, I won't help you." Holding up the scroll in his hand and pointing out what was held out to him; "If you want to give to your loved one, do it yourself. Senior Tsuki, please allow me to call you uncle since you have lent me this scroll and I will give it back so that you can gift it to your daughter as you wish before."

Shifting his gaze to those around him, Shin declared with finality; " As I have said before, now I will say this again. We all will return to Konoha, our Home, our Birthplace. We might not be celebrated and called Heroes due to the decision made by me, but I promise you one thing. That everyone will return safely and reunite with their family again. I promise in my Ninja Way."

His voice was not loud, but it swept through the audience like a hurricane, shaking everyone's soul.

Tsuki couldn't help but clench his fist and his eyes were slightly red;" Good, very good! Shin, I will recognize you, and when we return I will introduce you to my daughter."

Laughter erupts at the entrance of the cave as Tsuki retorted to the others that they too would want to introduce Shin to their daughters as well while some few bring up their sons if the others fail to bait in Shin there are other choices. As the laughter died down, Tsuki asked Shin what he intended to do with the scroll bringing the attention back to him. Shin simply answered that he wanted to learn a new jutsu and it was a nice coincidence since he was also adept in Raiton release.

Tsuki made a complicated face when heard Shin's answer and said; " "I'm afraid you can't learn the Ninjutsu in time. When I first learned this Ninjutsu, it took me more than a month to completely master it. Now, with only three days, it seems a bit rushed."

"Don't worry Uncle Tsuki. I will learn it in time." Shin said without explaining. He can't tell them that he has the system and can reach the maximum level with one click. No one would believe that.

"This!" Tsuki was startled for a moment and said; "Well, I also know this Ninjutsu, if you insist on learning it, I can guide you."

"Thank you, Uncle Tsuki, but I alone am enough." Shin shook his head and refused, took the scroll, and walked out.

Watching Shin back disappear into the distance, many ninjas in the field secretly sigh.
