I am your father

Black Zetsu was attached to white zetsu and together, they were taking a nap inside of a tree up in the mountains.

They didn't need one, but it was a good habit developed by black zetsu in his long life.

* Knock knock *

But their slumber was disturbed by a knocking sound coming from the tree.

' Is it a woodpecker? No the frequency is too low. '

Wondered black zetsu, but he didn't care much anyway, so they were about to dive down and leave without checking, but the voice that came after it, made black zetsu stop.

" Son, where are you going? "

Opening his eyes, Black Zetsu saw Mizuki's smiling face looking at him from outside, and his eyebrows jumped.

" He's Mizuki Senju.. what is he doing here? "

Wondered black zetsu, but white zetsu had a totally different focus.

" Hey, you aren't my father. "

Black Zetsu had an urge to smack the fellow on his head, now he knew for sure they were in here.

" For sure I am, I was just in a room with your mother twenty minutes ago. "

Smiling a smile every man knows, Mizuki complimented carelessly.

" She sure knows what she's doing, she's pure magic I tell you black zetsu. "

Now even black Zetsu's blood pressure was rising, even if he didn't have any blood, his mother was a weak spot and this guy was just asking for it.

* Wisssss *

Emerging from the tree like a pitcher plant he glared angrily at Mizuki.

" I didn't take you for such lowlife Mizuki Senju. I always- "

" Mother?!?!! "

Yelled black Zetsu as his statement was abruptly cut short, when Kaguya came from behind Mizuki and hugged him softly, her arms around his neck.

" What the fuck man?! "

Cursed white zetsu and black zetsu together.

Mizuki shook his head as he looked at black zetsu disappointingly.

" I thought I taught you better than this son. "

* Bang *

" Fuck you! You didn't teach us shit! "

Mizuki was swiftly dodging around as Black Zetsu was trying to catch him, Kaguya meanwhile was content on being stuck to Mizuki's back like a pale bloodless ghost.

Judging from his smirk, Mizuki was having a lot of fun playing around black zetsu, and very out of character zetsu was completely boiling with rage.

Mizuki did this for two reasons, one to catch black zetsu off guard and two, to see if his desperate behaviour during the war arc was a situational thing or Instinctual.

' It's Instinctual, after all he isn't even human, he has helping Kaguya in every fiber of his being, the dude is a cyborg specifically built to assist Kaguya. '

Concluded Mizuki as he now stopped dodging and pressed down on black zetsu directly.

" Unhand me, you are not my father! Mother save me! "

Screamed black Zetsu as he was struggling away trying to kill Mizuki somehow, but the one he was possessing was white zetsu, so his strength wasn't that strong.

At least he couldn't shake off Mizuki.

" Alright, no more messing around, black Zetsu, behave, you want to help Kaguya do you not? "

Black zetsu stopped struggling directly as his Iq was starting to return, now that he found a way to quickly save Kaguya.

' He's just got this desperate need to assist Kaguya, this yin yang release is a scary thing. '

Thought Mizuki as he carelessly sat down and Kaguya climed on top on his shoulders, still hanging on like a possessed ghost.

" Mizuki Senju, what is it you want from my mother. "

Asked black zetsu as he ditched his Atatsuki robe, he wouldn't be needing this anymore.

Mizuki raised his eyebrows as he patted Kaguya's hair to which she lightly nuzzled towards himself.

Black Zetsu's facial muscles twitching with rage, he was about the lose it completely, but Mizuki stopped him with a word.

" I am freeing her, she is my to be wife. "

The first half of the sentence was fine but second one directly had black zetsu jumping.

" Shit! Why would she marry a human like you? "

This got Mizuki interested, he knew that a god awful filler arc had shown her with a human husband. Which was completely bonkers because human and alien dna do not match, even in canon, or karma wouldn't be that hard to pull off for her ' dead ' partner.

It was truly absurd because it goes against everything set up by canon, canonically she was given both her children from the world itself, so Mizuki was interested in knowing what the situation was.

" Oh? Hey Kaguya, how were those two backstabbers born? "

Kaguya looked down at Mizuki with a tilted head, very much looking like a hanged ghost, as she recounted what had actually happened.

" When I had consumed the chakra fruit, it had energy I couldn't digest, the energy completely native to this world. "

Carelessly her hair was shaking here and there as she looked down from above his neck to his eyes, her white feature less eyes showing nothing at all.

" Every Otsutsuki can do this, we digest chakra which is edible and let out some which is not, that was where my two sons came from. "

Mizuki raised his eyebrows as he understood what this was all about.

What the getting her children from ' The world ' even meant.

It was quite literally, the world was the one that provided the genetic material to the world tree and Kaguya was the one that provided her chakra to it.

" So basically they are your poop? "

White zetsu asked with relish which had every single person glaring at him from all sides.

" .. why you looking at me like that.. it's a good question.. "

Mumbled the always poop obsessed white zetsu.

Mizuki laughed as he shook his head, looking at white zetsu he clarified.

" It's more akin to phagocytosis, she is by nature a parasitic life from, she biologically can digest a lot of things, but for stuff she can't, her species decides to split off and remove said undigested part. "

Looking towards Kaguya he asked

" This must happen to many accidentally right? "

Kaguya nodded, and then said

" We call them offsprings, because they sometimes also carry some Otsutsuki blood in them, but they are generally fed to the world tree or used as vessels. "

Clarified Kaguya, to which Mizuki nodded, alright that checks out, canon makes complete sense, and nothing contradicts each other.

Now looking towards black zetsu he said calmly.

" Look, I am really attempting her release, and if things work out we will indeed be together. "

Before black zetsu could rise up again he pacified him, as if his next words would be the best sounding words spoken on earth, black zetsu listened with attention when Mizuki said these words.

" I might be human, but always remember, life finds a way! "

" Fart! "

Lunged black zetsu as Mizuki and Kaguya vanished into thin air.

" Aaaaaaaah! Come back here! Mother! "

While black zetsu was losing his mind, Kaguya and Mizuki were sitting on the moon's tenseigan, and looking at the earth.

The view was truly gorgeous..

They will visit again when black zetsu calms down.
