CH11 : Academy(7)

'Why the hell am I even here?' 

A pleading voice of Yuichi shouted in his mind. He was standing in the middle of the crowd while holding the bags in both of his hands searching for a child that was missing. 

With beads of sweat flowing continuously like the tap water, Yuichi remained frustrated running here and there throughout the whole festival, which was getting enjoyed by everyone near him. 

Only after the fireworks got illuminated, that Yuichi didn't even get a proper chance to catch the glimpse of the crowd, little by little dispersed and he finally met the people he was searching for. 

He saw four people, two girls, a little boy and white haired friend of his, however the tension in the mood was quite not right. 

The girl, supposedly the crush of Jiraiya, made his way towards Yuichi with an angry face. Yuichi, who didn't know anything about what had transpired, just watched. 

"Give us back our things !" 

The girl shouted at Yuichi without any reason as if he was the culprit behind anything.

"Here.." 

Yuichi silently gave all of the things that he was carrying simultaneously. It made her standing a little difficult so she called his sister and brother, the other two anonymous persons and the people that Yuichi kept searching throughout the festival. 

After distributing the things among each other she gave one last angry face towards Jiraiya and left both of them there. 

"What did you do?- Wait, I don't wanna know. I am going back man and also this sideman shit is not for me"

Yuichi stopped his curiosity midway as his brain screamed at him for the rest that he deserved on Sundays but was snatched allegedly by this festival date thing.

"Mann at least here my pain.. It's very painful.." 

Jiraiya called Yuichi with teary eyes and a sad face.

"I DON'T CARE" Yuichi replied and joined him both and together and spoke, "I pray to god that may time heal your wounds".

Giving Jiraiya his reply he quickly escaped leaving him behind. While on the path back he regretted how he ended up in this situation. If it wasn't his foolish suggestion he would have enjoyed his Sundays roaming around, resting or creating some new dishes but now all of that was gone. 

'This fucker Jiraiya is definitely a playboy or how else would have he written all those volume of 'make out' if not for this. 

Man staying away from Jiraiya in the matter of girls is a must'

Yuichi made some notes in his mind for him to remember.

A new morning brings a new year of ninja academy for Yuichi, and a month away was his 10th birthday. 

Because there was no concept of after exam holidays, they have to start the academy from monday onwards. 

The results were usually pasted at the ground floor's Information board. This was also the place where important notices or information were given in writing. 

Although all of the major things were always discussed in the classes by their teacher but they just did to be double sure. 

Yuichi also peeked into the board to look at his information. Because the crowd was a little big, the peek was the only viable option he had. 

But this crowd was still nothing in comparison to the real crowd that got accumulated in a few minutes before the academy time. 

Gladly Kalki wasn't a late comer on Mondays due to the supple sleep that he got during Sunday nights. 

While quickly moving his eyes up and down he finally found his ranking among 238 students. In the middle of the first column his name was present in the 28th spot. 

Yuichi was a little surprised by this as both above and downard of his name mostly clansman or famous ninja's children would have their name, but he made a huge jump in ranking from around somewhere in the late hundreds to 20s. 

Also his classroom got changed as he was now among the group 1 students from today onwards. 

'Well whatever.. It's not like no changes will ever gonna happen because of my presence'

Yuichi shrugged his shoulders and made his way to the new classroom. 

The new classroom had a foreign vibe to it as he felt himself out of place. As usual there are very cases like him who managed to reach the group 1 classes and for cases like his academy already left some seats empty. 

The usual number of students were around 60s as the maximum strength of the classroom could go up to 90. 

Yuichi observed things around him and came to understand this. 

Although he usually did many child-like things due to his physical age, some regions will always be where he would act like a hitman, and one of those was his observation skills. 

He made his way to the back of the classroom, and found a seat near the window which looked like it wasn't used from all the dust collected on it. 

Yuichi cleaned the dust and sat down there and waited for others to come. 

Feeling bored Yuichi started playing with marbles on his hands as he rotated them around his hand by manipulating his chakra. 

It wasn't easy to accomplish as each marble required immense concentration to move around the hand without falling. 

Yuichi loves playing with this as he repeatedly fails in it, and the hunger of conquering it pushes him to try once more. 

Yuichi's concentration breaks as the teacher enters the class, the class is already half filled. 

He looked around a little to find some familiar faces as he was very immersed in his own game and didn't pay attention to his surroundings. 

He found two familiar faces and a few familiar clan symbols around the t-shirts of many students in the class. 

Class teacher talked a little about what they were gonna study. Meanwhile she arranged her notes, and before beginning the homeroom she made two announcements.

" …. So this year early graduations will be held in five months from now and i suggest you all should give it a try as this year's early graduates will get the chance to get the tutelage of lord second's hand guards which include lord third himself. 

I hope you all will give your best as this is an opportunity that doesn't come even in decades. Lastly, we have a new student in our class" 

Teacher looked at her sheet and the spoke again, "Ensho Yuichi"

Yuichi responded and stood up from his seat, " yes mam"

Everyone was curious for a minute and then as the teacher spoke their attention went back except a few. 

" continue to practice hard and if you have any doubt just come and ask me. Also this is for everyone, I want most of you to give an early graduation exam, so if you have any doubt related to it, just come to me." teacher advised the class with a smile on her face. 

Yuichi too felt very good as she felt very warm and caring. But this perception changed as someone entered the class which made the teacher's face turn 90 with anger. 

That someone was Jiraiya and he was clearly late, the moment he put his leg inside the classroom a dust hit on his face and pushed him out of the door. 

"Out Jiraiya. Stay on the gate with your hand up in the air until I stop you ". A clear warning came from the teacher's side which made jiraiya obediently follow her orders. 

For Yuichi it was refreshing to see someone controlling Jiraiya this well.
