New Chapter

Somewhere away from Konoha there were two men standing next to a giant stone structure with a dead man hanging from it. Both of them heard a noise and looked over to see another creature coming from the ground, "Oh, it's Zetsu," said one of the men who continued doing some ritual. "Are you finally done with your overexaggerated prayer?" "Ah, nothing but annoying atheist jerks who don't understand praying!" "In this world, you can only trust yourself, nothing else." said the strange creature named Zetsu. The other man then spoke, "You are wrong, you can only trust in money." "There we go Kakuzu, we've fallen behind with our jinchuriki hunt mostly because of your side jobs!"

Kakuzu then looked up from the paper he was holding, "I teamed up with you because you said religion was profitable, I've been left in charge of the Akatsuki's finances, put yourself in my shoes." Zetsu then spoke again, "Money is important, but hunting down the jinchuriki is more important." Kakuzu nodded, "Let's search for the next one immediately, I'll take charge of the two tails." Kakuzu and Hidan then went on to search for a temple. It took them a while of searching before they found the golden gates of the temple, "What are we doing at this place?" "Hidan, this temple might look normal, but it's not." Kakuzu and Hidan then broke down the doors. When the doors were broken everyone inside panicked, "Is that- it's the Akatsuki!" Everyone started running and got the leader of the temple.

The leader then walked down the stairs to face the Akatsuki, "It looks like we've got a virtuous one." Kakuzu then spoke, "He's not just virtuous, he's got 30 million on his head in the bingo book." Hidan shook his head, "Great more money, why do you like it so much I don't understand?" "Money is the key to all doors, enough money can get you anything." The Monk then walked down, "I don't know what you guys want, but please leave quietly." "the temple of fire is the greatest shinobi temple in the land of fire. And it is said that all of the monks control a special power known as the gift of the sages. And the man worth 30 million is a ninja who was chosen as a member of the guardian shinobi 12 who protected the feudal lord."

Hidan was impressed, "I'll kill him." Hidan charged at him followed by Kakuzu, the monk put his hands in a strange position, and a golden buddha appeared from behind him. "What the hell is that?" "I don't care, lets keep going!" Kakuzu threw a punch that was caught by the monk, Kakuzu got punched by a barrage of punches coming from nowhere, the monk wasn't even moving his arms! Hidan also charged in but the same thing happened to him, the monk put down his strange jutsu thinking he had won. "Hey Kakuzu, this guy isn't a jinchuuriki, so I can kill him right?" "Do as you like, but his body is worth money."

"Kakuzu stay out of this." The monk then got into the strange jutsu again, "I will not lose to wicked people like you, Raikei thousand hand strike!' Hidan was demolished by the thousand hands but continued forward even though his body was being ripped apart. The monk's screams were heard across the land as he cried in terror. Kakuzu and Hidan then went on to completely demolished the entire temple to the point that it was unrecognizable.

Another group far away from the Akatsuki were running through the trees. The leader was a rugged-looking man, "The Shinbi temple was destroyed, it seems the enemy was the Akatsuki." "Don't they have an ANBU team for this, why are we doing it?" asked Shikamaru, behind him were 3 others, Ino, and two jonin, Choji had quit being a ninja after his injury, he would still fight if needed but it was kind of like he was retired. "Normally they would be sent out for this mission but we were already nearby, the ANBU might be sent out and follow after us." One of the jonin then spoke, "based on the earlier mission report the Akatsuki members are headed to the collection office." The other jonin thought a little, "Of the locations, the nearest collection office is very close to us, we should reach there very soon."

"Asuma sensei, what relationship did you have with the monk at that temple?" "What do you mean?" "A smoker like you hasn't smoked for two days, you only quit when something has happened." "Observant as always Shikamaru, that monk, Chiriku and I were fellow members of the guardian shinobi twelve. I guess you could say we were like you and Choji." Shikamaru decided not to push the story any further. Asuma and the rest ran through the trees and it wasn't long until they reached the collection office, they saw a man sitting on the stairs with a red scythe, he was Hidan. "You took too long Kakuzu." but when Hidan turned around he saw Asuma running at him to attack!

Hidan blocked all of the shuriken and threw his scythe at Asuma who dodged, "Damn." the two other jonin appeared out of nowhere to stab and kill the Akatsuki member, he was planning on dodging but he couldn't move. "Ha, too slow," said Shikamaru in a happy and cocky voice. Both jonin stabbed their swords into Hidan, Asuma jumped down, "It looks like we caught one by surprise."

"That hurts, what's with you jerks?" everyone there was shocked, "How, we pierced all his vital spots?" they attempted to shove it in deeper, "Hey stop that, it hurts!" The jonin stepped back, "Is this guy immortal?!" "Isn't it obvious? So, who're you guys?" Hidan then looked at the mark on Asuma, "If I remember correctly, isn't that from the guardian shinobi or something? Do I really have to enter that smelly place again!" Asuma got nervous, he knew this was when the battle really started, "We are hidden leaf shinobi, our job is to capture you alive or dead. Our plan was to kill you and capture the other." Hidan laughed, "You went after us in the wrong order, you jerks!"
