Chapter 147 : Death of Danzo!!

Upon entering Konoha, Uchiha Sasuke immediately activated his Observation Haki, augmented by the Thunder Fruit's ability. 

His Haki extended throughout the village, scanning for Danzo's whereabouts until he pinpointed the headquarters of the Root organization, where Danzo resided.

"Danzo, I've finally tracked you down," Sasuke declared icily.

Within the Headquarters of the Root Organization, Danzo sat in a room, engrossed in his work on the Root's agenda. Oblivious to the impending threat, he remained undisturbed.

Despite the presence of numerous Root ninjas, none detected Sasuke's stealthy approach, thanks to his adept use of Observation Haki. 

With the Thunder Fruit's power enabling him to move at lightning speed and his Mangekyō Sharingan allowing him to manipulate illusions, Sasuke effortlessly infiltrated the heart of the Root organization.

Soon, Sasuke closed in on Danzo's location.

Outside the door, Sasuke paused, peering into the room with his keen Observation Haki rendering the wooden barrier ineffective.

"Danzo possesses the Sharingan and wields the Izanagi, Uchiha Secret Ninjutsu. A surprise attack is necessary to prevent him from using Izanagi," Sasuke strategized inwardly.

Determined, he aimed to incapacitate Danzo's right arm before he could activate Izanagi, disregarding the presence of Shisui's eyes within Danzo's possession. 

Sasuke's confidence in his own strength and mastery of ocular techniques rendered Shisui's Mangekyō ability negligible.

In a swift motion, Sasuke unleashed a black Chidori, effortlessly piercing through the door and targeting Danzo's right arm with precision.

The assault was swift and decisive.

Caught off guard, Danzo instinctively attempted to evade, but it was too late.

*Boom!*

Chidori severed Danzo's right arm in a swift motion. Uchiha Sasuke instantly materialized next to Danzo's dismembered limb. 

One hand phased through Danzo's body while the other firmly grasped his severed arm.

Flames engulfed Danzo's severed limb, consuming and obliterating the ten Sharingan embedded within.

"Sasuke!"

Danzo recoiled in surprise.

"Danzo, rot in hell!"

The surroundings seemed to transform into a tempest of lightning as an inexorable surge of thunderous power surged towards Danzo.

Then, Sasuke's demonic aura converged with his Lightning Style Chakra, fusing once more with the Chidori technique, piercing through Danzo.

Sasuke's might far surpassed that of Danzo; their strengths were incomparable.

"Kotoamatsukami!"

Danzo had no recourse but to unleash this technique.

*Boom!*

The force of the Kotoamatsukami enveloped Sasuke, yet he pressed his Mangekyō Sharingan against the onslaught, channeling all his might to resist, draining his ocular power in the process.

Ultimately, Sasuke prevailed.

However, Danzo could not withstand Sasuke's onslaught and fell prey to Chidori, impaled through the heart.

Realizing his imminent demise, Danzo hastily employed the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing technique to ensnare Sasuke. Seizing the opportunity, Sasuke utilized the Thunder Fruit's ability to instantaneously teleport amidst the thunderous chaos.

Thus, Danzo's sealing confined only this chamber.

With Danzo vanquished, Sasuke swiftly departed.

Before long, the commotion attracted the attention of the Root organization and numerous Konoha shinobi, who arrived one by one.

Soon thereafter, word spread throughout Konoha of Danzo's demise within the village.

Tsunade, Uzumaki Naruto, Kakashi, Might Guy, and others assembled to investigate.

"Who's responsible?"

Tsunade inquired.

A member of the Root organization responded: "We're uncertain. By the time we became aware, Lord Danzo had already perished, having employed the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing technique. So, we don't know the situation yet."

Furthermore, the seal technique obscured all traces of battle, leaving scant evidence. Yet, faint remnants persisted along the fringes.

"These are remnants of lightning strikes, aftermath of the thunderous onslaught!"

An ANBU operative announced after a thorough investigation.

"Lightning Style, is it the Cloud Shinobi Village ninja?" Tsunade inquired, briefly considering the possibility before dismissing it. "It couldn't be someone from the Cloud Shinobi Village. There are very few capable of swiftly and silently dispatching Danzo. Sneaking into Konoha unnoticed and leaving without a trace isn't Fourth Raikage's style. He's not skilled in that."

"It's likely Sasuke!" Kakashi speculated. "With his Thunder Fruit and Observation Haki, Sasuke possesses heightened perception. Sneaking in would be effortless for him. And with his strength, eliminating Danzo would be a simple task."

"Sasuke?" Uzumaki Naruto exclaimed, taken aback.

"It's highly probable Sasuke," Tsunade affirmed.

At that moment, Danzo's voice echoed in the live broadcast room.

[ Danzo: Sasuke, you've come to attack me in Konoha!]

[ Fourth Raikage: Danzo, was it Sasuke who killed you?]

[ Danzo: Yes, the old man is dead!]

[Third Hokage: It was to be expected. However, one could say you've altered the future by perishing without sealing a bridge!]

[Danzo: Sarutobi, are you mocking me?]

[Third Hokage: Just a joke.]

[Tsunade: It was Sasuke!]

Following this revelation, Tsunade issued orders, "Immediately pursue Sasuke and report any findings to me. Remember, if you detect Sasuke's trail, do not engage. Report back immediately. Naruto, Sakura, Neji, you three will pursue and retrieve Sasuke."

Tsunade was adamant about not pitting ordinary ninjas against Sasuke. After all, his strength was nearing the level of the Six Paths. Ordinary ninjas wouldn't stand a chance!

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" A ninja responded promptly.

Uzumaki Naruto chimed in eagerly, "Grandma Tsunade, I'll bring Sasuke back!"

With that, Naruto and the others set off.

In truth, Tsunade felt a sense of relief in her heart. While she couldn't bring herself to kill Danzo, his demise was a welcome development. 

However, she still needed to hold someone accountable. If Sasuke was indeed the culprit, she would have to issue a hunt for him as well.

Meanwhile, Sasuke had already departed with Karin and Suigetsu.

"Sasuke, did it go as planned?"

Suigetsu inquired.

"Success!"

Sasuke nodded in agreement.

"Sasuke-kun is incredible!" Karin exclaimed admiringly.

Before long, they found themselves distancing themselves from Konoha.

Time trickled by, and before they knew it, a day had gone by.

It was now time for the third list to be revealed.

Everyone anticipated that Yasao's name would surely be on it.
