Chapter 32 : Changes!!

Who wants to go with them to Uchiha Kinya?

This question shocked everyone. They hadn't expected this outcome. 

Weren't the captains just apologizing to those who had reported them? 

Why had they turned against each other and decided to go to Uchiha Kinya?

What was going on?

"Captain Shin, what's happening? Why do you want to join Uchiha Kinya?" He was the only one who didn't know what had happened since he had been here the whole time. The members' eyes were filled with curiosity and confusion as they looked at him.

Why was Captain Shin so upset? He had promised to apologize yesterday but had come back in anger today.

"I'll be straightforward with you. Today, the Hokage and those troublemakers crossed the line. From now on, I, Uchiha Shin, will have nothing to do with the cowardly Uchiha Fugaku!" Uchiha Shin shouted angrily, then explained what had happened in the Hokage's office and Konoha Hospital.

This revelation made everyone very angry.

"It would be one thing if they had just divided the civilian area for us to manage, but to let those lawbreakers humiliate our people like this!"

"Damn it!"

"This job is no longer acceptable. I have to quit!"

"Captain Shin, I will join you in going to Uchiha Kinya!"

"Me too!"

As the story about the Hokage's office and the Konoha Hospital spread, people were completely shocked. Some began to voice their opinions. 

Not only were they upset about what happened in the Konoha Hospital, but they also saw that Uchiha Kinya's treatment was much better than that of the Police Force.

Some people saw this as an opportunity to leave the Police Force and join Uchiha Kinya, wanting to escape the problems of the Police Force.

The Police Force had become a burden to them. In the past, leaving the Police Force would have been seen as a disgrace by their clansmen. But now, following these people to Uchiha Kinya seemed like a better option.

Even if Uchiha Fugaku blamed them, they felt it wouldn't be their fault.

Currently, only half of the clan members had been convinced to join, while the other half were still hesitant.

Uchiha Shin's eyes flickered for a moment before he spoke again. "Think about it carefully. If you stay in the Police Force, you'll have to deal with those troublemakers. You never know when you'll need to apologize or make amends. And most importantly, your pay will be less than before!"

Uchiha Shin looked at the people and tried to persuade them one by one. He was sure that if they remained in the Police Force, they would suffer even more, so joining the Chamber of Commerce was the better option.

"You need to think this through!" The remaining seven captains spoke up, addressing their former subordinates.

"I'll join you."

"I'm coming too."

With the captains' encouragement, dozens of people decided to follow Uchiha Shin and join the Chamber of Commerce.

The divide was clear: one group had more than eighty people, while the other had only a dozen left.

The dozen remaining were from the conservative camp led by the second elder. They preferred to seek peace with the village and were willing to endure some injustice for that goal.

"Are you not coming with us?" Uchiha Shin looked at the remaining dozen with sympathy. If they stayed, they would likely face even more challenges.

"Captain, please don't make it hard for us. You know it's impossible for us to leave!" One of the remaining people said with a bitter smile. Although they knew following Uchiha Shin might be the right choice, their loyalty to Uchiha was too strong to abandon now.

"Alright, then let the clan leader know on behalf of those who are leaving!" Uchiha Shin didn't push them further. After saying this, he turned to the people who were coming with him and said, "Follow me!"

With that, Uchiha Shin led the eighty or ninety people directly to the Chamber of Commerce.

At the Chamber of Commerce...

Today, Genya rarely exercised. Instead, he was eating roast chicken in his father's office while continuing to practice Infinite Chakra World.

He had a feeling that something good was about to happen.

"Genya, do you think someone will actually join our Chamber of Commerce today?" Uchiha Kinya asked his son. After a long conversation the day before, his son concluded that many Uchiha might join the Chamber of Commerce today.

Uchiha Kinya was doubtful. The Uchiha clan was known for their arrogance, so even if they were considering joining the Chamber of Commerce, they would likely need some time at home to deliberate before coming back with a decision.

"Don't worry, Dad. He should be here soon!" Genya said, his gaze fixed on the window. Suddenly, his eyes brightened: "Here he comes!"

Through the window, they saw a large group of Uchiha clan members approaching the Chamber of Commerce.

"They're really coming?" Uchiha Kinya joined Genya at the window and was pleasantly surprised to see the sizable delegation.

Sure enough, half an hour later, Uchiha Shin and his group arrived. Uchiha Kai and Uchiha Kinya personally welcomed them and led discussions about their future.

Uchiha Kinya treated them well, offering them much better conditions than they had with the Police Force previously. Several of the captains received even more favorable terms.

The newcomers were impressed. The benefits were far superior to what they had in the Police Force. Plus, for any missions they undertook, they would receive bonuses even higher than a typical ninja's mission reward.

While Konoha would take a commission from missions, Uchiha Kinya promised to give all the profits directly to them.

Satisfied with these terms, they quickly signed the contract.

Meanwhile, in the Police Force, Uchiha Fugaku arrived with two captains, looking grim. They had just paid a hefty fine of 50,000 ryos each, totaling 650,000 ryos for the thirteen individuals involved.

Uchiha Shin had audaciously encouraged other captains to leave the Police Force. After dealing with the disruptive elements, Fugaku came to discipline Uchiha Shin and the other captains.

Uchiha Shin and his co-conspirators were to be demoted, and their incomes cut. The compensation for the damages would be deducted from the Police Force's funds. 

Additionally, the salaries of the remaining Police Force members would be reduced, but the pay for those captains who had left at the last moment would be reduced by half.

When they arrived at the Police Force, they were surprised by the sight. The place was nearly empty. Where there used to be hundreds of Police Forces, now only a dozen or so sat around, looking bored and disheartened.

As Uchiha Fugaku walked in, the few remaining Police Force members greeted him weakly, "Clan Head Fugaku!"

"Where is everyone else? Did they all go on patrol?" Fugaku surveyed the empty room and snorted, "Hmph, Uchiha Shin must be avoiding me. Is he afraid I'll scold him?"

"Go, bring Uchiha Shin to me!" Fugaku ordered.

He didn't yet realize that Uchiha Shin had already left, but he was frustrated and wanted to confront him.

"Clan Head..." one of the remaining Police Force member spoke up hesitantly.

Given the current situation, who would want to go on patrol?

Fugaku, clearly angry, glared at him. "We'll deal with this later. Find them and bring them back. I want to remove them from the Captain's position!"
