Chapter 1: The Disciple of the Rogue Ninja Orochimaru?
"I actually... Transmigrated?"
Ishihara was a bit dazed. But seeing his body turned into that of a baby, he completely understood his situation. He had transmigrated and was now in the body of a child, abandoned in the wilderness!
"Damn!!"
Ishihara felt a wave of panic. He didn't dislike the idea of transmigration; after all, his previous life was too dull and exhausting. But becoming a child and being abandoned in the wild—was this something a human would do?!
Even if he didn't starve to death, there were wild animals!
"System?"
Ishihara hurriedly called out in his mind.
[System detected host's successful transmigration. System activation complete!]
[Congratulations on unlocking the Extraordinary Comprehension System!]
A mechanical, cold voice sounded in his mind. Ishihara's eyes widened in shock. As a fan of novels in his previous life, he was no stranger to systems. And this Extraordinary Comprehension System sounded incredibly powerful!
However, right now, more than the system, he needed a kind lady to take him away!
"Am I destined to be the disgrace of transmigrators? Dying before achieving anything?!"
Ishihara felt unwilling. Suddenly, a hissing sound reached his ears. Turning his head, he saw a snake slithering quickly toward him. His pupils contracted, and his heart skipped a beat.
"Crap!!"
A snake was heading straight for him. "Am I done for?!" he thought, feeling his luck couldn't be worse. Although Ishihara gritted his teeth in anger, his survival instinct made him stare intently at the snake, muttering under his breath, "Go away, go away, go away!"
[You heard the snake's hissing. You tried to communicate with the snake. You felt the snake's emotions. You created the Snake Control Technique.]
Ishihara's eyes widened even more. Was this the Extraordinary Comprehension in action? He loved it!
Instantly, a large amount of information flooded his mind, and he immediately understood the Snake Control Technique. He then called out even more enthusiastically. The snake, initially moving towards him, suddenly froze, its forked tongue flicking rapidly. Soon, it turned around and slithered away.
...
Orochimaru was resting in the forest. Not long ago, his secret experiments on children in Konoha were discovered by the Third Hokage. Although the Third Hokage didn't attack him immediately, allowing him to escape Konoha quickly, he was soon pursued by Konoha's forces. Combined with traps set by the Third Hokage, he was injured and now on the run.
He had paused to rest and bandage his wounds, releasing a multitude of snakes to scout the area. Unexpectedly, one snake returned. "What's going on?" Orochimaru warily scanned the surroundings before grabbing the snake to communicate. As someone with a summoning contract with the Ryūchi Cave, he could easily converse with snakes. He quickly understood what had happened, and a look of surprise crossed his face.
"A baby controlled you?"
"Interesting!"
Orochimaru licked his lips. Besides himself, it was the first time he encountered someone who could control snakes. Believing it wasn't a trap, Orochimaru cautiously approached Ishihara's location, driven by curiosity. Soon, he spotted Ishihara lying in a bundle under a tree.
"So it really is a child?"
Orochimaru narrowed his eyes and commanded a few snakes to circle Ishihara. He needed to test the situation. Quickly, Ishihara cried out again.
"His voice has a unique rhythm. Is that how he controls snakes?" Orochimaru wondered, astonished. He realized that even he would need considerable time to grasp the rhythm in Ishihara's voice, something impossible for a child. Yet, this impossible scenario was playing out before him.
"Could this be a special bloodline limit? And a naturally awakened one at that?"
Orochimaru's eyes lit up with joy. Things were looking up for him! Feeling an unexpected sense of kinship and anticipation for Ishihara, he suddenly appeared in front of the child.
Ishihara's cries abruptly stopped as he stared wide-eyed at Orochimaru.
"Shit, it's Orochimaru?!"
Realizing he had likely traveled to the world of Naruto, Ishihara thought, "Why did it have to be Orochimaru who found me?! This guy loves using people as test subjects!"
Though he admired geniuses and treated them well... I guess I'm a genius now. So, no worries!
Ishihara smiled up at Orochimaru. No matter what, surviving was the priority. Orochimaru was momentarily taken aback by Ishihara's smile.
"If you can survive, you'll be my disciple."
Meeting Ishihara while on the run felt fated. Orochimaru had checked Ishihara's body and confirmed there was no chakra present. Despite this, Ishihara could control his snakes, suggesting a promising future. Hearing this, Ishihara's smile widened. Finally, he wouldn't have to wait in the wild to die.
Orochimaru picked up Ishihara and continued his escape. Perhaps because they were nearing the border of the Land of Fire, they didn't encounter any more Konoha ANBU, which lightened Orochimaru's mood. But Ishihara was being driven crazy.
"This way of carrying a child is insane! I'm getting dizzy!"
"If I don't get some food soon, I'll starve!"
Unable to bear the hunger, Ishihara poked Orochimaru with his tiny hand and began to cry loudly. "Hungry?" Orochimaru looked at Ishihara and quickly realized what was wrong, frowning. On the run, he had neither the time nor the means to find proper food for a baby. He walked into the forest and caught a wolf the size of a cow.
"Kid, whether you survive is up to fate."
With that, he slit the wolf's throat, letting the blood flow toward Ishihara's wide eyes.
