Chapter 29

A hail of hardened tough dense rocks the size of a bullet shot out of one of mouth of the ninja on the right while the ninja on the left had placed his hands on the ground channelling his chakra resulting in massive sharp earth spikes instantly rising from the ground. Had a normal ninja been in the clone's position they would be skewered and impaled.

'It would seem that their plan was to sacrifice a life for a life, killing me as soon as I killed one of them' thought Yuu as he instantly deduced their plan.

Unfortunately for the group, their plan was meaningless as all they managed to do was destroy a mere shadow clone. Now that Yuu knew about their plan, he decided to quickly end this and so he quickly assimilated the chakra he had received instantly increasing his chakra level to high Jonin level. As he became stronger so did the rate at which his powers assimilated what he obtained from his enemies. He had already killed four shinobi at the moment: a high level Jonin, two low level Jonin and a mid-level Chunin and with his current assimilation rate, he could choose to instantly assimilate abilities of a similar level to his and since he was currently a Jonin level shinobi he could instantly assimilate everything up to elite Jonin level. Of course, this also brought about a pain unlike anything he had ever felt before. For a moment the severe pain caused him to lose focus on his genjutsu camouflage which allowed the present shinobi to spot him however it was only for a brief moment as Yuu quickly regained his composure and cast his skill again hiding his presence once more.

The damage, however, had already been done. The shinobi present couldn't believe their eyes as what they saw as it was simply shocking.

"Our opponent who easily killed three Jonin and a Chunin is nothing more than a 12-year-old brat" uttered Furuya in complete shock. When Yuu had been afflicted with the intense pain, not only had his Genjutsu dispelled but also his transformation Jutsu revealing his true appearance to his enemies.

"Fuck!" loudly uttered Yuu as the pain racking his entire body finally receded revealing his new power level which wasn't much different from his previous self except for the fact that his chakra was now at high Jonin level, his chakra a bit denser and his body a bit stronger.

'Time to end this!'

Yuu stood up and quickly gathered his chakra immediately using his hand to quickly cast a new Jutsu.

'Fire release: Fire clone technique'

His chakra condensed to form an exact replica of himself however this was merely a camouflage of the technique as it was actually a cluster of dense hot fire chakra given form. Yuu repeated the process creating five more fire clones. Each of these clones had been imbued with 2/15th of his chakra leaving him with only a 1/3 of his chakra left to maintain his and his clones camouflage. On top of that he also attached a few dozen explosion tags on each of his clones after which he sent the clones to attack the shinobi ahead.

The clones quickly advanced towards the group from different direction. They each arrived in front of an unaware shinobi whom after confirming with each other, they each quickly attacked at the same time. Immediately five shinobi heads flew into the air after which the nearby shinobi attacked the area in front of the killed shinobi. This time however their attacks hit all the fire clones who instantly emerged out of thin air after which they immediately exploded unleashing a torrent of hot dense flames onto the shinobi from all directions.

"Shit!!" cursed Tsutsui, shrinking even more within the reduced circle of shinobi as he watched hot flames incinerate the nearby shinobi. In this attack alone eight shinobi had died. One of whom was a Jonin while the rest were Chunin. The remaining shinobi were badly injured but still alive as two Jonin had managed to quickly cast a rock dome Jutsu enveloping the rest of the remaining shinobi enabling them to survive. Their moment of reprieve was short lived as soon after dozens of explosion tags went off bombarding the rock dome from the outside. The two Jonin focused all of their remaining chakra and concentration in keeping the dome intact as they knew that should it collapse they would all die. The rest of the ninja present were Chunin and hence could be of much help at the moment because if they inserted their chakra to assist the Jonin, their chakra control capabilities would only hinder the two Jonin instead of assisting them hence they simply remained put.

One of the Chunin males placed his hands on the ground.

'Earth release: Earth search'

His chakra surged into the earth searching for any nearby chakra signatures in or on the ground. He immediately found their enemy who he sensed had materialized himself and placed his hands on the ground just as he sensed him. Immediately his years of experience as a ninja rang loud alarm bells in his brain telling him that he was in great danger.

"Shit!"

That was the last word he uttered as his chest was immediately impaled by an earth spike, piercing right through his heart killing him instantly. The rest of the shinobi inside the dome faired no different as they too were impaled by the spikes and died. A few milliseconds later the last of the explosion tags exploded blasting apart the rock dome creating an entrance to the interior.

Yuu calmly walked towards into the dome where most of the shinobi lay dead, pierced onto the earth spikes. Yuu however sensed that one of them was still alive. Upon taking a closer look, it was actually Furuya who had three spikes piercing through his left thigh, stomach and right shoulder. He was still alive though barely as judging by his injuries he would die soon.

"You!...." uttered Furuya in rage as he spat out a mouthful of blood "will… pay ….for ...…."

He was unable to finish as his eyes dimmed and his chest fell not rising again.

Furuya was dead.

Yuu quickly ransacked their bodies after which he gathered and incinerated their corpses. He then disappeared from the scene camouflaged by his Genjutsu. This was a good decision as on his way back to Asaki, he encountered shinobi rushing towards his previous location. If he was running in a normal state, he would have been immediately discovered by them however since he was camouflaged, they ended up simply passing by each other with them being none the wiser. Soon he was back in his room in an inn where he immediately fell asleep exhausted by his first major battle against genuine Jonin.
