Chapter 16

This Jutsu however did have a drawback as the influx of different memories into his brain would create a massive headache in a shinobi and if the memories were too much for the brain of a person to handle, it could lead to temporary and in severe cases, permanent brain damage. It was why the shadow clone Jutsu was ranked a B-rank Jutsu and was labelled as dangerous for those with weak minds while its even stronger version, the multi-shadow clone Jutsu was labelled a forbidden technique due to its disastrous consequences.

Yuu, however, was surprised to find that even when he used to dispel his three shadow clones, he didn't receive the slightest bit of headache. It must be because of his mind being strengthened from the absorbed mind power of multiple shinobi using his power or it could be because he was already used to assimilating memories due to his ability which automatically assimilated memories of his dead enemies. Either way it didn't matter as it all worked to Yuu's advantage.

Two months later, Yuu could be seen setting fire to a leaf but the fire stopped scorching the leaf at the first 1/18 part of the leaf. His fire control had improved over the last two months but it was far from perfect as Yuu couldn't help but wonder how long it would have taken him to reach this level without the help of his shadow clones. Yuu however didn't stop there as he spent the next month further increasing his fire manipulation capabilities until finally he stood with a leaf in his hand fully covered in fire yet when he dispelled the fire, not a single part of it had been scorched. In fact, the leaf didn't even possess a smoke-like smell. Rather it smelled just like any other ordinary leaf. With this it could be said that he was a master in fire manipulation however whether this was true had to now be tested.

Yuu slowly formed hand signs and cast a jutsu

'Fire release: Single flower bloom'

He took in a deep breath and breathed out a single meter-in-diameter ball of fire which travelled at a high speed and hit the trunk of a tree ahead of him completely blowing it apart after which it travelled and hit the trunk of two trees lined behind it completely demolishing it as well before dispersing. Yuu couldn't help but feel a great sense of pride as he watched his current display of power.

'This is great considering that this Jutsu is a D-rank Jutsu. Normally even with my high chakra density it would have only destroyed the trunk of the first tree and dispersed but now with my high fire manipulation capabilities, I was able to further concentrate and condense the flames making the ball of fire slightly smaller yet much more powerful and durable allowing it to demolish not only the tree behind it but also the one after that before dispersing. It already shows power comparable to a B-rank Jutsu however if I input more chakra into it, it should be capable of displaying power comparable to a high level B-rank Jutsu.'

At this point there was only a month remaining till the end of the 3rd year in which the students would be graduating to become official Genin shinobi capable of taking missions and leaving the village.

With only one month left, Yuu thought about what he should do. He could continue improving his fire control but the possibility of improving past master proficiency in fire manipulation in only one month with only 2 extra shadow clones for help was laughable. He could start honing his lightning manipulation skills but he wouldn't get much done in only one month either. As for wind manipulation, with his current low affinity he might as well forget about it.

Yuu suddenly thought about what he could do to make use of his last remaining month. He could focus on reducing the hand signs for his various Jutsu techniques. You see, while he did practice the killed shinobi's Jutsus after acquiring their memories and proficiencies, he had only worked on increasing his hand speed in deploying the Jutsus and while he could now form seals at a very rapid speed, it wouldn't compare to the speed of performing the Jutsus with a single or no hand seal movement.

Since he currently had high flame manipulation capabilities and his highest current affinity was to the fire element, he decided to focus on reducing the hand seals of his fire release Jutsus which were currently a lot in his mind. And hence, using his two shadow clone partners, for the entire month Yuu focused on reducing his hand seals for his fire Jutsus starting from those of the lowest rank moving upwards.

Finally, the day arrived for the end of year exams. On this day every shinobi student of the third year could be seen both nervous and excited at the same time as they headed to the academy. On this day, Yuu could be seen slowly walking to school with his hands in his pockets. Today he had decided to come personally as various powerful people would most likely be in attendance during the examinations and he didn't want to get found out for being able to use a B-rank Jutsu while having no powerful background and being a classic nobody.

He arrived in class 10 minutes earlier than expected only to find that almost all of the students had already arrived and were rampantly conversing amongst themselves. Yuu was actually among the last ones to arrive. He slowly walked to the back of the class and sat in his seat while greeting the Ino-Shika-Cho trio who were already seated in their seats.

"So are you ready?" Ino asked Yuu.

Yuu nodded "Yeah I am capable of creating an average clone so I should be good to pass" he said. "What about you guys?"

"Yeah I too am capable of creating a clone as well infact I worked so hard I can now create two clones just to ensure I get top marks" said Ino

"My clone technique is good enough to pass" said Shikamaru in his usual lazy voice.

"My technique….is… okay" mumbled Choji as he ate large amount of chips.

"That's good. Then I guess we will all pass today" Yuu said as he proceeded to glance outside the window on his left while pondering his next moves. While lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Shikamaru shoot a quick hidden glance at him before continuing to look forward. This also went unnoticed by Ino and Choji who were busy talking to other students.

Soon the door of the classroom opened and Iruka entered the classroom alongside two other shinobi who judging by their attire and chakra levels, were also chunin level ninja.

Even now as Yuu looked at them, his mind and instincts built from all his memories and his current level of progress told him that it would be easy for him to kill the three shinobi instructors before him using just his taijutsu and weapon handling techniques alone let alone his powerful jutsus which were currently his strongest aspects.
