Kiyoko: Rising

"your coming with me, I need you to speak on behalf of the Demi Humans" Kiyoko's eyes widen as everything seems to bend and fold around him. his pupils shake as everything distorts but suddenly stops as Frederic has his hands on Kiyoko's shoulders looking at him.

"are you okay? if you cant do it then ill go instead…" Kiyoko pauses for a moment as he struggles to catch his breath.

"ill go… I wont become the strongest I can be unless I conquer what's holding me back" Frederic's eyes widen as he's left with his mouth open before smiling and standing straight up dusting off Kiyoko's shirt.

"huh… i remember it wasn't that long ago you were too afraid to do anything… now look at you… you can do this Kiyoko… go out there and show those citizens that us royals are hearing every word they say… you are… the Low Class Demi Human Ambassador" Kiyoko gulps as he nods as he runs to catch up with King Aristol leaving Frederic behind.

The King hoists himself up on a horse as guards rush around and Kiyoko catches up with Aristol.

"get on and hold on tight Kiyoko" the king turns to look at Kiyoko who's ears slowly go down again as the king smiles and holds out his hand. Kiyoko takes a deep breath and takes it allowing Aristol to help him onto the back of the horse.

"onward! HYA" He whips a rope on the horse and the horse runs forward top speed and out the gate down the twisting and turning path.

"when we get there, Imma need your Time Maho!" the horses galloping made it hard to stay on it as he rushes over a small bridge and through a turn.

"but I can't use it to stop a whole crowd yet!" the king smiles as he turns and looks at Kiyoko for a short time before looking back at the path.

"I know you have it within you, just let it out… stop them… before anyone gets hurt" Kiyoko's eyes widen as he looks down grabbing a mask out of his pocket and looking at it before putting it on.

The square was in chaos. Banners were being burned. Any Demi human owned facility was being brought down. There was screams as Maho is being misused. The smell of burnt steak arose as the ground felt unstable. Smoke rising in the air.

"P-please… no…" A half elk girl stands in front of her flower shop. Defending it from the rioters.

The horses run full speed along the ground. The king glances at kiyoko.

The rioters step closer with their Maho. The Elk girl stepping back. Footsteps hit the ground. Suddenly the leather boots slide along the ground. Coming to a stop in front of the girl.

"Time" He lifts his hands as time seemingly stops around him. The Elk girl paused as she fell backwards. The rioters and flames stopped in motion completely.

"Good… now that I have everyone's attention… Wasteland…" Kiyoko slides his foot against the ground as suddenly the entire courtyard is frozen in ice. Time resumes as everyone is stuck in ice. The King walks over with his horse as a few guards stand around him.

"I'm not here to give you all a speech about how you should act… but truthfully.. Why is it this has occurred…?... it breaks my heart seeing my citizens in shambles" There was quiet as everyone looks around.

"Is there truth… or even purpose behind your actions…? Think about your actions first… these Demi humans are trying to live their lives just like you… Anger towards another race shouldnt be generational… It should solidly be in your hearts… Your ancestors hated the Demi-humans ancestor's… Your ancestors didn't hate… modern day Demi-humans… and honestly… did the modern Demi humans ever do anything to bother you?... You should learn to see your actions from an outside perspective… keep that in mind the next time you act" There was a silence as Kiyoko watches in amazement.

"Now… in retrospect… there is no reason at all to get mad at us… we're trying our best to incorporate Demi-humans into our ranks…" One of the men grits his teeth and breaks free from the ice.

"Well i don't see any Demi human with you right now… do i!?" The man jumps forward using his fist engulfed in flames. Suddenly Kiyoko steps forward touching the man and freezing him in time.

"I am Kiyoko of the low class knights… in terms i am the highest ranking Demi human in the low class… im in the same position as Prince Oji and Frederic… and with enough determination both Demi humans and normal citizens will have the same rights to Partake in politics as i…" The Elk girl from before looks on in happiness as the Low class royals were finally listening to them.

"Now… Im busy negotiating with the king about incorporating an interracial Knightage… It shall be put into place as soon as possible… Now please clean up your mess… Just how it's not fair for me to destroy your lives… it's not fair for you to destroy the Low Class' Demi Humans." The king is slightly shocked but smiles as all the ice melts. The chaos was now over as Kiyoko turns to the king. His ears down and his face red.

"Are you okay Kiyoko?" Kiyoko shakes his head.

"That was scary" The king is slightly shocked as he slightly chuckles.

"Okay… well… im going to have 3 guards stay down here to keep an eye on the state of things after this Riot" Kiyoko nods as Aristol helps Kiyoko on to the horse. Aristotle hops on after and hitting the rope as the horse runs off.

Kiyoko lays down on the ground face down as Frederic looks at him.

"Are… you okay…?" Kiyoko shakes his head.

"That was so scary!" Kiyoko flips over stomach up in his room as Frederic chuckles.

"So that's what it is…?... well… im glad you even said something… you could have just hid behind Dad and did nothing… but you stepped out in bravery… your getting so much better!!" Frederic smiles as Kiyoko sits up.

"I-it's only cause you and the king have so much confidence in me…" Frederic sighs and flops on Kiyoko's bed.

"Yeah… well… you've been impressive from the get go… you just needed a little… push" Kiyoko slightly smiles as he rubs his arm.

"Thank you… Frederic…" Frederic sits up and looks at Kiyoko.

"For what?" Kiyoko looks at the ceiling.

"If… you never came to rescue me on that fateful day… im sure i would have been a goner… if you didn't give me the confidence to go with the king to stop the Riot… who knows what would have happened…" Frederic realizes and agrees with Kiyoko as the door opens.

"Come on you guys… Dad said it's time for bed" Frederic sits up and walks over to Oji.

"Get some good rest Kiyoko… You deserve it" Kiyoko nods as Frederic and Oji walk out.

"Truly… I am blessed…"
