Chapter 6

The sky still being dark out, at 11pm, Zu would wake up hearing the sounds of a faint roaring in the distance. Sitting up rubbing his eyes, he would uncover the thin blanket he had buried himself in. Standing up, Zu would pull the tent's zipper down, revealing the full moon.

The moon glistening on the creeks surface, dancing sparkles on the water, gave a mystical look to the campsite. The forest, having many species of trees in the area, had so many little creatures hanging out in the surroundings. Zu would climb out of the tent grabbing his hoodie before going, pulling it over his head and walking to the trail that Otashu had pointed to hours ago.

"I wonder if he is already on the trail, he doesn't seem to be back yet." Zu would question himself in a worried tone, worrying about his friend. "Poor suka must've gotten lost like last time we came out here, the trail always seems to change everytime we come here" Zu would snicker at what he had just remembered in the past. Otashu, who had a poor sense of direction had always gotten lost in the woods by himself.

Zu decided to go to the trail, choosing to ignore the fact he had heard a roar a few minutes ago, and had started toward the trail. He had only gotten 15 minutes into the trail when he saw something fly past him, in the corner of his eyes. Zu's head whipped around in the direction he had seen the thing, "Oh my god, it's just an owl" He would sigh to himself in relief.

Zu reached into his pocket and pulled out the flashlight that he himself had forgotten to use, and turned it on. Few minutes later he would see a chest, the same one Otashu had seen hours ago. Getting closer, he would see an empty jar with its cork lid missing. Walking closer, he would step on something that made an ear pitching screech. Lifting his foot up, he would spot something that glittered, slither into the bushes
