My Wolf and I

Aiden Smith is happy just the way his life is. He has a loving boyfriend, Cato, and is doing great in school. He is on the fast track to following his dreams at the young age of 20. Only two short years and he would be able to buy a bakery and start selling sweets. But things he thought were already in perfect place started falling when Jayvee Haddox came into the picture. Jayvee Haddox is the soon-to-be Alpha of the Green Moon Pack. He has yet to meet his mate even at the age of 20, almost three years late. He decided to wait to look for his mate until after he got an education. He is doing great in school and staying focused on his goal. That is until his nose catches the scent of a sweet baker. —- “You can wait all you like, I don't mind. Stay with that boyfriend of yours, really. But it won't change the fact that sooner or later, you are going to be begging me to take you.” Jayvee said smugly, his body holding me against the wall, the back of his hand touching my cheek lightly. The smell of his cologne was making my head fuzzy. I had to get away from him before I did something I would regret. I couldn’t hurt Cato. “What’s wrong? You seem a little shook,” He paused to bring his head next to mine, he spoke right into my ear making me shiver. “Little mate.” He bit my ear and all hope was thrown out the window.

Chapter Eleven

JAYVEE

It had taken everything in me not to attack Cato while helping Aiden. He was losing the most amazing person in the world, and he wasn't even fighting for him. What had Cato done for Aiden to leave?

I was brought out of my thoughts by a knock on my window. I looked to my left and saw Aiden. Smiling I opened the door and got out. "Sorry I was thinking. You ready for some grub?" he nodded while we walked to the entrance, I held the door for him. It was a small diner around the corner from my parents' bakery, wasn't too expensive, good food too.

Luckily there was no line, so we walked up to the host. "Table for two please." The host grinned at me before telling us to follow. He took us to the far corner of the diner to a booth and handed us our menus.

"Your waiter will be here in just a moment. Please enjoy your dinner."

Before I could even ask Aiden anything, a woman around our age came over. "Hello, my name is Katie and I'll be your waitress for the evening. Can I get you guys started with drinks or appetizers?" She held her notepad, ready to write.

I looked down at the menu before starting "I'll have a Dr. Pepper and I think we will get an order of mozzarella sticks to start." I looked to Aiden, waiting for him to answer.

"A sprite with no ice please," Aiden said with a clenched jaw making me look at him in confusion. Katie walked away so I asked

"Are you okay?"

"You didn't see the way she was looking at you. She didn't even look at me when I spoke." his eyes flared with anger

"Jealous?" I teased.

"Ugh! I don't know. Maybe. Yes. So what if I am?" He crossed his arms and pouted.

"Hey, look at me." he looked at me from the corner of his eye, "I didn't see her looking at me like that because I was too busy looking at you," I said causing him to blush. He uncrossed his arms and looked down at the menu.

"Sorry, I think I'm just a little emotional and stressed. That didn't really help." He started to smile at me, but it turned into a frown when Katie came back. She sat the mozzarella sticks in the middle of the table and the drinks nearly on the edge.

"Are you ready to order?" She asked only looking at me. After what Aiden had said, I understood what he meant, she was playing with her hair –probably not the best to do when you handle other people's food- and looking at me with hunger in her eyes.

"I'll take a cheeseburger with bacon and a side of fries." Aiden snapped holding the menu out for her to take.

"A hangover burger, egg over easy, and a side of fries as well." I smiled at Aiden taking the menu from his hand to stack it with mine to hand to Kaite. She took them with a blush before walking away.

"So, this is going to be really weird to ask, but did I, uh, leave any marks on you from last night?" I asked avoiding eye contact and scratching the back of my head.

"I mean I have hickies all over my neck and chest, it's why I'm wearing a turtleneck. But I feel like you mean something different."

"Um, yea. There is some-" I began but was interrupted

"If you want you can check when we get back to yours~" Aiden flirted. I blinked at him in shock. He had never spoken to me like that before. He began laughing loudly while pointing at me. "You should've seen your face! I'm just kidding. I actually wanted to see if we could wait for a little bit before starting on us. At least for a couple days! I feel like jumping into a relationship the same day I end one is kinda wrong. And I completely understand if you don't want me to stay at your place anymore."

I made a stern face while standing up from my seat. I walked over to his side of the table while he gave me a worried look. "Scoot," I said causing him to slide over to make room for me. I sat down and turned my body to face him.

"I am never going to hold something over your head to get what I want. Even if we don't become anything more than friends. You can still stay at my place for as long as you need, hell unpack your stuff make that room yours if you want." I said, he was looking away from me, so I gently reached forward to hold his chin, bringing his eyes to meet mine. "I would wait a thousand years even if it meant I'd get a second to be yours."

"Awe!" I heard from behind me, I turned to see Katie standing at the end of our table with two plates. Aiden's face turned red as he grabbed a mozzarella stick to nibble on. I cleared my throat to try and clear the tension. It didn't help. "I'll be back in a little bit to see how everything is." she put the food down and walked away.

"I didn't mean to embarrass you. I'm sorry. If it wasn't clear, I'm fine with waiting for however long you need. I'm also here if you want to talk through anything." I smiled at him while sitting down on the other side of the table again.

We sat in comfortable silence while we ate. I was enjoying my burger when Aiden started to laugh lightly, "You got some egg on you" I blushed and whipped my mouth with my napkin. "You didn't get it, here." He said grabbing a new napkin and whipping my cheek. When he was done, we made eye contact and he froze where he was. I'm not sure how long we had stared at each other, but when we finally broke away, we both blushed.

"Erm, Thanks Sugar." I smiled "Are you enjoying your food?" he had most of the fries gone, maybe one or two left and the burger was one or two bites away from gone.

"I should be asking you that question with how much egg was covering your face. Is it really that good to have an egg on a hamburger?" he asked looking at my plate. All my fries were gone and half of my burger too.

"Wanna try it?" I asked, he nodded so I held my plate out to him. He picked up the burger and took a bite out of the middle- where the most egg was. He made a face but swallowed.

"How can you eat that?" he asked dramatically while chugging some of his drink. Causing me to laugh loudly

"Dad? Mom?" I called out as we entered the apartment. I frowned when I got no response. "So, I kinda forgot to give them a heads up about you moving in," I said sheepishly.

"Jay! I don't want to intrude." Aiden said with a furrowed brow. "I can just sleep out in my car for the night." He began backing out the door.

"No, Aiden, please. I really don't want you to do that, it's starting to get colder at night. Please. I promise they won't care." I gave him pleading eyes, trying not to pout. He hesitated but nodded and came back into the apartment. I grinned at him while leading him to the guest room.

The apartment wasn't too big, but it was big enough to fit a big alpha family if needed. Most of the time the Alpha would live here until their second kid. Once they would have their third, they would move to a house- something to make their own. My family never moved out of the apartment, they stopped having kids after my sister.

The front door opened into the living room, the tv was on the wall to the right of the door and the couch was across from that. There were two sitting chairs on either side of the couch and a coffee table in the middle of that. There was a wall separating the living room from the kitchen behind the couch. To the left of the front door, after the wall, was a small hallway. At the beginning of that to the right was the kitchen, there was the entrance then the bar. After the kitchen was the bathroom, to the left. Then my room, the guest room-right across from mine. Then there was an office to the left and at the end of the hallway was my parents' bedroom which had its own bathroom.

"You already know my room." I pointed to it with a blush. "This is you," I said opening the door. The walls were pink. "This was my sister's room." We had changed the furniture out for a dresser, a full-sized bed, and a nightstand.

"You're really sure that I'm allowed in here?" He gave me a worried look.

"You are so cute," I said running my finger down his cheek. "But I'm not saying it again. If you ask me if it's okay one more time, I'm going to lock you in here." I smirked jokingly. "Good night, Sugar" I winked at him while tapping his ass into the room.
