Interestingly, the Beast Clan elder chose not to challenge Gu Lan, ranked first, instead seeking out the elder from the Ghost Clan. He had initially aimed to confront Gu Lan but, having witnessed Gu Lan's true strength during the earlier chaos, he recognized that he was outmatched and opted for a more manageable opponent.
