A duel for a price.

Everyone gathered outside the mansion, the red vampire, followers of Lucy stood at the right side of the area, and the black, followers of the first progenitor stood at the left.

And right in front of each side were the two opponents who were about to duel.

One of them was a new member of the vampire family, who was changed neither by a bite or by nature, but by the exchange of his heart for the heart of one of the strongest vampress in the world.

And the other was a beast vampire, said to be so strong even first class blood suckers fear him, it didn't take much for anyone to see… the fight would be extremely unfair.

Leon gulped down his saliva, his eyes scanning the beast of a man standing in front of him.

This was a vampire from Lucy's side, he was dark skinned and huge, two times Leon's size and was holding a huge blade in his right hand.

"Amber… you can back out now and maybe I'll accept your apology." Lucy yelled from where she stood with a smile on her face.

"Oh don't you worry Lu Lu," Amber replied, wrapping her arms around Leon from the back, "My darling can win this easily".

Leon gave out a slight whimper before stealing a side glance at Amber,

"W…what are you doing? I can't handle someone like this!!!" He whispered, desperately trying to keep his cool.

"Oh my, you worry too much darling, don't worry, you can handle this." Amber responded and then walked away.

Leon simply stood there, frozen in both fear and shock as he tried to understand why he was suddenly in such a situation.

"You may commence the duel, whenever you're ready…" Amber utterred, standing in front of her vampires.

Rose and Tess stood at the side, also bearing witness to the duel that was about to take place.

"As you wish…" Lucy raised her hand, "Go.. rip him apart".

The huge vampire smiled, his grip tightening around the hilt of his blade,

Leon for some reason took a fighting stance, despite not planning to do so, it felt like his body simply went into attack mode the moment he felt his life was in danger.

Boooom!

All it took was one step and the huge vampire was already right in front of Leon, his blade arched to the side, ready to slice Leon's neck off.

His eyes snapped,

Instantly, Leon leaned backwards, his legs carrying most of his body's weight as the blade passed his face, slicing off a part of hair.

The moment he noticed he had dodged the first attack, he wasted no time taking advantage of it.

His hand twisted on the ground, causing his whole body to rotate and then he leaped up, kicking the vampire in the face.

The moment he did, he landed on the ground, his eyes widening in surprise to see the vampire still standing like the attack did nothing.

"Come on… nothing?" Leon blurted out but immediately, the vampire grabbed him by the neck and raised him up.

Leon was left dangling his legs in the hair while trying to free himself from the vampire's hands choking him.

"I smash you now."

"Uhh,."

Like a dirty rag, the huge vampire began swinging Leon around, slamming him on the floor, walls, pretty much anything that was hard enough to absorb the force.

And Leon was helpless, unable to do a thing, it was like he was a kid getting owned by someone far older than him.

But even though he was getting beaten to a bloody pump that would have killed a normal human, no one could hear him screaming in pain.

Lucy, who was watching the whole thing, couldn't help but smile; A member of her family was thrashing her rival's, it was more than satisfying to her.

Amber on the other hand maintained a calm expression on her face, but her fingers were almost digging into her skin from how uncomfortable it was for her to watch.

"Lady Amber, do you want me to step in?" Tess asked, sneaking behind Amber with a pissed look in her eyes, "Just say the world and I'll rip this bastard apart".

"Do not interfere Tess," Amber uttered, her eyes still fixed in front of her.

Tess sighed, "Okay then, if you insist, but I don't think you can keep her back, I'm betting she's going to pounce in any second now".

Amber turned her gaze to the right and she could see Rose, her eyes dark and her fist clenched as if she was about to blow up where she stood.

"Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid."

"Hai hai!"

"Arrrghhh!" The huge vampire gave out a final roar before tossing Leon to the side.

Leon went flying and crashed on the iron steel work, some of the sharp points pierced his skin, his guts leaking blood as the moment he coughed.

'Am i… seriously going to die here?' Leon thought to himself, using the last of his strength to push himself away from the sharp irons before landing on the ground.

Leon was able to turn himself over, his back lying flat on the ground as he looked to the sky, soaked in his own blood.

'Ahh… is this deja vu?'

Lucy watching from the side lines smiled, she then faced Amber and asked,

"Are you ready to tell the truth… Amber? Or are you still going to insist that this weakling is the first progenitor?".

"Why so hasty… this battle is still going on…" Amber smiled, leaving where she was standing and moved towards Leon.

In the background, Terra was busy holding down Rose who was already fighting her way through the ranks to get to the vampire.

Amber arrived in front of Leon, his entire body damaged and covered in blood.

"S…sorry." Leon muttered under his breath, the best he could manage in his current state.

She stared at him for a while, and then she lowered herself in front of him like a Japanese wife getting her husband.

Amber spoke,

"You've experienced a near death experience… that was necessary for your evolution, now one more thing is need for your completion,''

She slit the side of her neck with her fingers, blood spilling down her shoulders and inside her dress.

The moment Leon smelled blood, his eyes widened, glowing red as he turned his gaze towards Amber.

Amber uttered again,

"Kill the one who placed you in this state".
