Once Henry and the people left. Nora heaved out in relief and got up. "Did you go inside the forest?" Nora asked, gritting her teeth in anger.

Meredith gulped in fear. If she said yes, her aunt will beat her black and blue if she says no Nora will immediately know she was lying. She can't hide the truth from Nora no matter how much she tries.

"I-i just went in a l-little…" Meredith decided to tell her the truth, gesturing with her fingers. It's better to get the beating and be done with it before Nora finds out and the beating is worse.

Nora glared at her in anger, smacking her on the arm,"Why can't you just listen to me?" Nora nagged, hitting her on the arms.

"Ah ah! Aunt, my back already hurts. Beat me later." Meredith pleaded, pouting her lips with a sad face.

Nora gave up with a frustrated sigh. She helped Meredith to get up from the ground and took her into the cottage. Nora helped her clean the wound and put some medicinal paste on it.
