Abyss

August plopped down on the sofa, after trying for more than an hour after failing to make Azrael come out of the room or talk to her. Left defeated, August sighed trying to come up with another way to talk out to her.

"Did you get ignored by my sister? I didn't even think you would fail to do so?" Val commented, sitting beside him and glancing upstairs.

"Why do you think she will listen to me?" August tilted a brow, perplexed by Val's remark.

" Hmm. Beat me. I thought cats are loyal to their master to even suck all kinds of shits." Val hummed, biting her lower lips.

Was it a good thing or bad that August hadn't noticed how crazy Azrael was for him? She didn't accept the fate for so long but once August was involved it didn't take even a second for her to agree.

Val would be lying if she said she wasn't jealous of August. She and her shared the same womb, same fate and family yet a stranger swooped in and became most important to her.
