The Smell

Haley there's a package here for you aunt Victoria shouted from downstairs.Oh I think my things are here I said with excitement.

I ran downstairs as fast as I could almost tripping on the stairs and as soon as I got to the front door I was breathing heavily.Aunt Victoria handed me the package with a chuckle , I frowned and headed back to my room.

I rushed into my room bashing the door open in excitement.I put the box on my bed and unboxed it happily.Inside it were my spell books,my clothes and best of all my phone.

I checked my messages and saw I had 56 missed calls from Mia,my best friend. I didn't really want to reply to her yet so I put my phone and headed to the bathroom to have a bath.

I had gotten dressed and was heading downstairs to have breakfast,with my phone in my hand.Luckily Christa and Christina had gone to see their grandma and uncle Sybil had gone with aunt Victoria to the hospital so I had the whole house to myself I was still new to this place so their wasn't really anything I could do right now.That's when I remembered Lucas maybe if I go back to the place i met him maybe I could see him.

As soon as I opened the door to my surprise he was standing there in shock.What's wrong with you? I asked curiously.Nothing I just didn't expect you to be coming outside he said embarrassed.

Why are you here anyway I asked.I wanted to ask you if you wanted to join me and my friends at the cafe Lucas replied nervously.Sure I'd love to I said.Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and then gestured for me to follow him.

I followed Lucas to a cafe called 'Tuty Cafe'What a funny name I thought to myself.I walked through the cafe doors and saw a bunch of boys sitting at a booth laughing.

Guys look who made it and his with a girl ,a hot one for that matter of the boys said.You finally left player life and settled down another boy said.Guys this is Haley,Haley this is George, Lucas said as he pointed at a boy with dark blue hair,that's Alec he said pointing at a boy with dirty blonde hair ,that's Parker he said pointing at a boy with brown hair and that's Lucien he said pointing at a boy with slick black hair,and red eyes and pink lips he was by far the cutest there.

So are you two dating Alec asked Lucas.No I just met her Lucas replied deafeningly.That's good that means I have a chance with her Alec muttered but I could hear him clearly.

So Haley what do you think about Lucas?Parker asked.Well his not bad other than him being pervert I said nudging Lucas with my elbow.Hey I'm not a pervert I just wanted to bug you a bit Lucas said feeling embarrassed.It's ok don't cry baby your mamas right across the street if you need her George said making Lucas mad.

Hey Lucien why aren't you saying anything are you finding this amusing Parker said turning to Lucien who was sitting in the corner of the booth.

I'm just thinking Lucien replied quietly looking grim.

Like always Parker muttered.

Anyway guys I our final game is coming up and we all know we have to win this if we want to win the national cup so I hope you guys have been practicing George said.

As I listened to the boys talk I could smell something and it's aroma was so strong and it smelt delicious.Are you ok Haley your eyes.....they turned red Lucas said.I was somehow in a trance I just couldn't move when all of a sudden things went blurry and I fainted but luckily Lucas was quick to react and grabbed me by my waist before I

hit the ground.

I woke up in my room later that day and my vision was still a bit blurry but I was feeling better.I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom to check myself in the mirror my eyes had turned back to its normal color .How did I faint that's when I remembered that I smelt something,and the smell was too strong for my senses.How could that be that had never happened to me before i was definitely smelling blood but if it was blood I wouldn't have fainted.What if what I was smelling blood but it was a different kind of blood what if what I smelled belonged to another species. I was thinking so hard that my head was aching.

I went downstairs to go eat something and to my surprise I saw Lucas and the boys waiting in the living room
