Chapter 7: A new life

I woke up and looked around. This time, I was feeling better. I got off the bed, and there was a robe next to the couch. I wore it and opened the door. The hallway was long enough for me to be lost. The walls were painted red crimson, and, the ground had a long carpet that was the same color as the wall. there were many old kings and queens paintings, a family crescent that I've never seen before. I was walking barefoot when I heard footsteps. I looked around and saw my parents, standing there, looking at me. I was happy to see them, but, something in my heart, made me look back again. I felt, lied to. not, being able to trust them. It was as if, I felt, a feeling of sorrow in my heart.

"M...mom, what are you doing here?" I asked her after she hugged me tightly.

"Oh honey, we, wanted to tell you everything, but, we are sorry we lied to you," my mother said. I looked at her, the horror on my face, was, as if I had a nightmare. I pushed her back.

"So you lied to me all these years about me, being a supernatural human being, and not giving me a chance to live the life I deserve," I told her, raising my voice at her. She looked at me, my father, was feeling sorry for me, because, he knew I would act like that.

"But, honey, we only wanted to protect you," she said

"instead of protecting me, you made it worse" I talked back

"Alexia, don't talk back at your mother," my father said, looking at me. he tried to protect mom, but, ended up failing.

"ENOUGH" I rose my voice at them, I was, having a very hard time coping with everything, I could see, all my stuff, and their, and my best friends ones, coming to this floor. they were moving all our stuff, and, I was about to live here. But, I felt empty deep inside.

Questions that had no answers were swirling in my head. thought, that I never think of, popped up. I was, alone, and lost in this empty block. My parents were now strangers to me. it felt, really sad.

"Are you okay doll?" Lucas asked, rushing to me

"just take me away from here, please," I said.

"of course doll" he said, and we both left the place
