What is happening ?!

We were on the plane, watching the earth slowly recede through the windows.

-I already miss my family, sighed Marc

-You won't see her again soon in my opinion, Ambrose replied.

-But at least you will see a new landscape, Darcy comforted him

The familiar outlines of cityscapes faded to indistinct spots, then to nothing at all, just a vast expanse of blue and green below us. The flight seemed endless, each minute stretching into an eternity as we headed towards a mysterious destination.

Time passed slowly, the constant roar of the plane's engines becoming a sort of hypnotic background sound. The hours passed, and soon, darkness invaded the cabin. We were now suspended in darkness, the artificial light of the plane creating an eerie contrast to the pitch darkness outside.

It was only as we approached the destination that something remarkable happened. Massive shapes appeared on the horizon, silhouetted against the twilight. As we descended, a landscape completely different from anything we had previously experienced spread before us. Floating mountains, defying the laws of gravity, levitated majestically above an immense lush forest that stretched as far as the eye could see. The air was remarkably pure, crystal clear and invigorating.

-Wow the landscapes, I muttered in wonder

However, we had no time to marvel at this incredible panorama.

The ground was rapidly approaching and our landing was expected to be chaotic. The pilot was desperately trying to stabilize the aircraft, but conditions were far from ideal. We had barely touched down when thick, wild vines began to wrap around the plane, threatening to bury it entirely.

-What is happening?!, Captain Moreau suddenly shouted

The shock was brutal. The passengers were shaken, some screaming, others silently praying. The pilot turned to us, his face marked with urgency.

-You have to jump! The plane will crash if we stay here!, he ordered, his voice sharp and definitive.

Without hesitation, we prepared to obey. The doors opened with difficulty, the sprawling vegetation trying to hold us back. One by one, we jumped from the plane, landing awkwardly on the ground of this unknown land. Adrenaline pushed us forward despite the fear that knotted our insides.

-IS EVERYONE OKAY?!, asked Doctor Laurent worried

In an instant, the plane, our only link with our home world, was swallowed up by the forest and its voracious vines. We found ourselves alone, immersed in an environment as magnificent as it was threatening, confronted with the unknown with only our survival instinct as our guide.

-Yes, everyone is fine, Captain Moreau replied.

-Everyone is alive, added Ambrose

The dense forest, mysterious and vibrant with life, surrounded us on all sides. We had no choice but to venture deeper, hoping to find refuge and answers in this new world suspended between heaven and earth.
