"Are you the one that got me this?"

Hassan asked pointing at his clothes.

"Yup. If not we would have frozen since Sky's aura wasn't available after you guys blanked off"

"Wow. Thanks. It must have cost a lot." He began each word after a short pause of mentioning the last word as if he was deeply pondering what to say next.

"Yeah. It did cost a lot" I said with a chuckle as a sudden wave of awkwardness washed over me. "But that doesn't matter. It was for the best. Don't worry about it" I continued as I let out awkward laughs.

' What am I doing? Doesn't matter? Tell him to pay back! Tell him to pay back! '

" I have something to help us," I said to him completely ignoring the screaming thoughts in my head.

He had a questioning look on his face about the real price of the cloth and if he should not worry about it but chose not to press on about the matter.

"It's a snow sled"

His eyes brightened when I said that.

"Where did you get it from?" He asked, a hint of relief creeping up his countenance.

"Well, while you guys were passed out four creatures attacked and I got this as one of the rewards."

I made the snow sled materialize out of my inventory and the amazement in Hassan's countenance seemed to increase.

It was bigger than it looked like in the inventory. Even if Sky was lying down there was enough space for Hassan and me.

"Wow. This is valuable. If we didn't get this now we would have been moving with a slow pace, especially with Sky still passed out"

A snowstorm was gradually forming, as if it were urging us to start moving forward.

"We have to get going" I said, my voice tinged with a hint of worry.

"Yeah" He said as he tried to stand.

When he stood up, he wobbled for a moment, but eventually regained his footing.

He then helped Sky onto the Snow sled and after that, we both climbed on it and turned it on.

The vehicle vibrated as it hummed repeatedly into life and moved us further into the snow.

'Fate' was all I could think of that was helping us. At the moments that we thought that we were done for something appeared and turned the situation for the better.

It could also be that the people in charge took a liking to us and supplied us with what we needed.

What a silly thought.

In a matter of seconds, we had put a distance between us and the place we were stuck in moments ago.

The snow sled was controlled by me because I thought that Hassan needed to rest because of what he had done so far and I wasn't wrong for that because it only took a while before Hassan drifted into sleep. He was sleeping even though he sat down instead of lying down.

It made me chuckle at the ever strange fellow.

The snow sled made sounds that echoed in the air threatening to attract predators in our way. But there was nothing I could do.

I didn't even know where I was headed even as the medieval torchlight guided our path. I just simply went ahead hoping earnestly that we wouldn't be attacked by creatures that lurked beyond the reach of the medieval torchlight.

The medieval torchlight was a marvelous item because of its tenacity against the voracious Snowstorm that only grew worse as we went further. It kept on burning bright.

But the time it burned was short. After a few minutes, it died and so I found myself changing the medieval torches every few minutes till I eventually ran out of the medieval torches in my inventory.

After I ran out of the medieval torches I restocked my inventory with twenty more of them. My remaining coins were crying for help. My coins weren't the only thing that had changed. My stat was looking better than it was before.

I improved since I left the cave of the Blizzard.

Even though I was maneuvering the snow sled while checking the profile it wasn't difficult multitasking because we were just moving straight forward and had encountered no hurdles and I just had to check the way ahead occasionally.

'The eye of Psion' I thought as I looked at the amulet that had a

single, mesmerizing sapphire gem at its center, radiating an eerie glow. The gem itself resembled a piercing eye with Its azure iris surrounded by delicate lattice patterns.

It was in my inventory next to the cloak of invisibility. The description was just below it and then below the description was a request; ' EQUIP THE EYE OF PSION'

"Yes," I said and even before the words came out of my mouth I felt something around my neck that was hidden by my winter cloak.
