George ran his hand along the smooth surface of the desk, still in awe. "This is... incredible. Thank you."
Nebula nodded. "You're welcome. Now, I'll leave you to get settled. The board is expecting a meeting this afternoon to formally introduce you as the new CFO. Good luck, George."
With that, she was gone, leaving George alone in his new domain. He sank into the high-backed leather chair behind the desk, taking a moment to absorb the reality of his new position.
