You never know how hard it is for a very mortal mind to be trapped in an immortal body is until you experience it for yourself. The first few days of this new existence were easy. The following weeks were torture though. He couldn't rest to relieve the mental strain that was building up due to the fact that skeletons don't sleep. The only thing that James had to do was roam the halls of the dungeon he found himself in and wonder if there was a way to end this cursed existence.
This dungeon was classified as a crypt for the obvious reason that the only creatures inside were the undead. James found himself exactly how Plyos had described as skeletons were in fact the lowest of the low. Even goblins could kill them, which he was quickly finding out at this moment. A nest of goblins had made their way into the first level of the dungeon, which wasn't uncommon, and would periodically kill James and the other skeletons that roamed its halls.
Without skills or weapons, James had little to no hope of being able to fight back. His bones shattered and broke apart at the goblin clubbed him. When it was all said and done, everything would go dark before he would respawn somewhere else in the dungeon. It seemed like this would never end and James was pretty sure that eventually, he would go completely insane.
This particular day was like any other, James was wandering the halls, waiting for the goblins to appear to kill him. He happened to round a corner and found himself behind a goblin that was in the process of crushing another skeleton. Simply to vent his frustrations, James walked forward and grasped the goblins throat from behind. His fingers easily pierce its small throat, killing it on the spot.

[You have leveled up]
James was shocked to say the least since he wasn't expecting this outcome. It wasn't until this moment that he realized the he could indeed fight back. Having been killed so many times and the constant stress on his mind made him forget the fact that even novice adventurers would sometimes fall to skeletons.
James looked down at the goblin that had just died in his grasp and casually picked up its club. Now he was armed and a level two skeleton, he was ready to take the fight back to them. The feeling of leveling up was completely different from before as it actually made him feel the difference.

This was the beginning that James had unknowingly been waiting for. He could now advance forward with renewed will power knowing that he could become stronger. The first thing that he had to do was be faster than the goblins since their strength would be roughly the same as his. His endurance mattered since it would define how much of a hit he could take without breaking and his magic was pathetic any way so fast was the way to go for now. With that being said, he put four points in speed and one point in endurance. The change wasn't noticeable from the outside, but James was certain that now he had the advantage.
