Li Fan asked a series of baffling questions, leaving Yin Yuzhen somewhat dazed, not understanding why Li Fan was asking such things.
All of a sudden, it seemed like a possible explanation dawned on her. She stared back at Li Fan, her complexion pale, "Could it be that you're our long-lost father, our sister and I?"
However, she quickly dismissed that thought, "No, you look nothing like us."
"I'm merely curious," Li Fan didn't pay any mind to this girl whose thoughts appeared to be jumping to conclusions, he said lightly.
"I know, I know. It's normal to be curious about one's kind," Yin Yuzhen nodded incessantly with an understanding look.
Li Fan was too lazy to explain further.
Yin Yuzhen exhaled slowly, then resumed, "Originally, we were from the Northern Night's End Island. Our parents died in a catastrophe when we were very young, leaving only my sister and I to support each other. From what I recall, my sister and I could only survive day-to-day by begging, always hungry."
