Blind dates are cursed.

When choosing dresses, they had finally landed at a green one strap dress that had everyone's approval. And even as she adorns it tonight, she still feels unworthy of the dress. She needs to leave quickly before Clayton sees her, she does admit that she can see him flirt with her, but she will never admit being attracted to him.

"So, if the man ends up being someone you don't like what will you do?" Cyan asks,.

"It is not possible; Melisa sang him praises I doubt I would hate him." This makes Cyan smirk before asking "even if it my brother?"

"What? Why? How? Um…" Cyan is dumbstruck at Kaleah's reaction, maybe their chemistry really is fatal, Kaleah takes a breath before replying, "I doubt your grandmother would set her precious grandson with an undocumented immigrant who has no job and is a single mother. Clayton wouldn't accept the relationship; he has a girlfriend."

A nonchalant reply, one would believe Kaleah, well Cyan did fall for the trap several times by believing that Kaleah hated Clayton. But if you look closer into Kaleah's eyes, you would now how much she id burning with embarrassment, as much as Cyan wouldn't like to admit it, Kaleah reacted like that whenever James was talked about.

"So? We all hate his shallow girlfriend and apparently they broke up, oh, this would be great we can finally be sisters. And you get to tick off screwing my brother off your bucket list." Cyan teases, this had been a feast for her, she hated that she was the last to find out of these lingering feelings between the two.

"I am looking for a marriage partner, not a walking flirt like you brother."

She had continue putting on her lipstick before she realized she had admitted to Clayton flirting with her. "I didn't mean it like that Cyan, stop looking at me like that."

"Don't worry I will not interpret it like that, it is not like Conan caught you before you could stick your tongues down each other's throat. It is just an innocent…."

Cyan is cut off by her friend's cute arms covering her mouth, her hot red cheeks gave all her feelings away. But her pout made Cyan not want to tease her anymore.

"There is nothing going on between Clayton and I, and please don't tease me about it. I am about to meet my future husband in an hour, so you need to stop."

Cyan raises her hands to surrender, she had cursed her past self for refusing Conan's idea to keep surveillance on their date. The look on her eyes when she sees Clayton would been priceless.

Before going on the date Kaleah moves to kiss Zoey goodnight, hoping that this would be her lucky date, a date she finally finds a good man. She finally take the first step to the car, with every step getting slower, maybe it was because of her trauma caused by the last date or the black heels she is not accustomed to, but she had walked the slowest she had ever walked.

She is sent to the date by Melisa's driver who is a sweet angel, Rain had made sure to keep Kaleah sane, she had talked about the days she had met her partner and how nervous she was at first. They have been married for 15 years so maybe being nervous is a blessing.

A magnificent 5 ft building greets her, Capelle, she hadn't had the chance to visit a fancy restaurant as this. James never took her to one unless she was paying and she didn't have enough money to, and Cyan would take her out, but she could not choose the most expensive one in the country.

"Good luck Miss, he will love you I promise." Rain waves at the shivering Kaleah, she handed Kaleah her purse with a smile on her face. "I don't think I can go in." Kaleah voices her concerns.

Rain gets out of the car t comfort her and help her calm down, "let me walk you to the door, that would make you feel better." Rains exclaims holding Kaleah's shaking hands.

When they had arrived at the door, Rain gave Kaleah a soft gaze, "don't worry, you will be protected at all costs. Just get in okay." Kaleah nods nervously, she watches as her driver return to her car. Rain drives of before even telling her if she would come back for her or not.

She fondles her dress a little before sighing and taking the first step inside the restaurant. She is welcomed by a happy girl wearing a cute black dress with a name tag and black shoes, Avery, a waitress she had assumed. "Welcome Miss Huxley you date is waiting for you this way." She had reciprocated the smile before following her.

"It seems empty."

"Oh, Mrs. Becket rent out the whole place for the night."

"Wha… does that mean it will be just me and that man?"

"Don't worry if he attempts anything our security is very effective."

"Oh… Okay."

They arrive at a palatial room with a closed door. Avery had halted first before telling Kaleah to open the door. "What?" 'You are supposed to escort me in and introduce me to this man, I can't go in alone,' Kaleah thought.

"It is okay ma'am; your date is waiting for you inside."

"But."

"You will be okay; you look really beautiful so he will like you instantly."

Kaleah took a deep breath before opening the big door, Capelle had been known for that room. It is a VIP room which is only exclusive to premium members, she had assumed being sponsored by Melisa Beckett did the trick.

She had walked a great deal with her eyes closed, there he was her date, he had worn a strangely familiar black suit. She would swear she saw Conan bring it back from drycleaning yesterday.

'Ah suits look the same, let just go and meet him.' But her legs had frozen, she knows that broad back, she knows it very well. She was hallucinating wasn't she, what is Clayton doing here?

She had assumed she had entered the wrong room and had turned to leave as quietly as possible, even if she didn't enter the wrong room, there is no way she is marrying Clayton Kai Beckett with a sane mind.

But she didn't take any steps further before hearing a voice behind her. "Leaving already? Grandmother said you were dying to meet me since you fell for me at first sight."

'It is definitely in the Beckett family genes to tease me' she had thought. She remembers when Melisa told her to tell the 'guy' how she fell for him at first sight when they meet and how Cyan was teasing her about Clayton just a few hours ago. She sure had profound luck.

"Clayton." She says in a cheery voice, almost sounding robotic as she had only used that voice when she was both anxious and angry.

She had decided to face her demons heard on, well tonight there was only one demon by the name of Clayton Beckett. He had curled his eyebrow into a frown as soon as he saw her face. 'great this is just great.'

"Is this some sort of joke? Huh?"

His masculine voice had turned antagonistic a trait she hadn't seen before. Can brown eyes look red? Oh, he really is the devil incarnate, she had only said that as a joke. (She's just exaggerating.)

"Um…." Even though it was wrong for Melisa to set her up like this she still needed to marry for Zoey. Those acting classes Cyan forced her to take in collage that she had thought were useless were sure going to come in handy. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath; she could hear him snort at the actions. 'A good husband she said' she cursed her luck.

"I know what it looks like but let me explain first okay." She had cutely said walking to her chair. 'he didn't pull my chair. What was Melisa thinking?'

He still glares at her with those beautiful eyes, 'such wasted art' she thought, feeling pity for the poor gorgeous eyes who were given such an owner.

"Speak." He says with an angry tone.
