For the past three years, Gloria had felt suffocated. Olivia had looked down upon her and kept giving her a hard time. Her husband had hated her, to the very core. The pressure she had been under was so heavy.
But now everything was different. She felt at ease and had no longer to be bossed around and told what to do. She had only to protect the ones she cared about. As for Granny, she wouldn't have to put in so much effort and energy.
