Chapter 35: An author leaving the bed is as hard as a slacker* acing the test.

(*a student whose has a poor class performance)

Shuihua University, male dormitory, 7 AM.

Hong Yue was awakened by his alarm clock. He turned over his bed and slapped his alarm clock hard, which fell to the floor with a loud thud. Its life and death are unknown. He was about to return to sleep as if nothing happened when there was suddenly a knock on his door.

"Hong Yue? Are you up now?" it was none other than Lan Xing. "Come out and have breakfast!" he told him.

"… UGH!" Hong Yue grunted in displeasure and forced himself to rise from his bed, which he finds very hard to part from. He just wanted to lie there forever… though Lan Xing knocking again reminded him that it is not possible. "Coming!" he said and made a big yawn. However, he failed to rise from the bed. Left with no other choice, he crawled down of it.

So it is no surprise that there was another loud thud heard inside the room. It is when Hong Yue's head hit the floor after he fell with how heavy he felt his body is.

"Oww…" Hong Yue frowned when he felt as if his forehead is smoking due to pain. Though that woke him up completely.

"Hong Yue?! Did you fall?!" Lan Xing anxiously asked from outside the door. He knocked again, which made Hong Yue's head feel being knocked, too. Lan Xing sound like he is about to destroy the door, though, if Hong Yue won't answer.

"Yeah." Hong Yue answered as he finally rose, though from the floor this time. He walked to the bathroom and washed his face, then wiped it before he finally went to open the door.

Lan Xing's eyes instantly widened in surprise when he saw the red mark on Hong Yue's forehead. His heart skipped a beat in horror. "How bad did you fall?!" he asked and immediately pulled Hong Yue to sit before he went to get the first aid kit. His eyes are filled with concern and his expression is grave, as if Hong Yue broke an arm.

Hong Yue let himself be pulled by Lan Xing. If he only had wheels beneath his feet, then it would've been better since he didn't need to exert effort to walk. But, with his trauma on the hoverboard… Hong Yue felt that he is already satisfied with walking.

"Should I get Baymax to assess my pain?" Hong Yue asked as he placed his chin on the table.

"Ha-ha." Lan Xing emptily laughed as he took out the medicine from the box. He knows that Hong Yue likes anime and other fictional works like cartoons, as well as novels. He saw the foreign novels like Harry Potter stacked on the bookshelf inside Hong Yue's room.

So, it is no surprise that Hong Yue would know Baymax, too, especially since Baymax is very popular.

Hong Yue opened his heavy eyelids and only noticed that Lan Xing still wore his clothes from earlier. "Did you just return from your home?" he asked.

"Nope. I returned around an hour ago." Lan Xing answered and paused on treating the red lump on Hong Yue's forehead. "Don't worry. I'm actually about to wash up and change my clothes." He told him, thinking that Hong Yue might be a clean freak.

"No. It's fine." Hong Yue waved his hand dismissively. "I actually haven't bathe nor even washed up before for more than a week…" he told Lan Xing, feeling sleepy again when he felt the warmth from Lan Xing's hand.

Lan Xing was surprised of what Hong Yue said. But seeing that Hong Yue looked sleepy, he didn't ask Hong Yue for details. "I already cooked rice. You take a nap first on the couch and I'll wake you up when the dishes are already cooked." He told Hong Yue after he treated Hong Yue and kept away the first aid kit.

"Mn…" Hong Yue nodded and wrinkled his nose when he smelled the disinfectant. He wanted to wash it away, but not only he doesn't want to waste Lan Xing's effort, he also felt lazy to move around thus he remained on his seat.

When Lan Xing returned, he isn't surprised that Hong Yue is already asleep on the table. He helplessly smiled and carefully carried Hong Yue to the couch before covering him with quilt. Then, he went to the kitchen to cook their dishes. After that, he went to his room and took a bath, changed his clothes before returning to the living room to wake up Hong Yue.

Hong Yue grunted, but he still rose from the couch and followed Lan Xing to eat their breakfast. Fortunately, it is Sunday today so they don't need to review for their classes. That is why he set his alarm clock at seven in the morning.

"Do you have anything planned to do today?" Lan Xing asked as picked up their plates and cutleries.

"Well… I actually wanted to continue writing…" Hong Yue answered as he leaned his back on the chair to ponder.

"But?" Lan Xing asked as he returned with a wet cloth to clean the table, which is actually still clean since he and Hong Yue are not messy eaters.

"But… because I woke up, I forgotten some of the plots that I supposed to write in the continuation." Hong Yue answered and frowned.

In fact, dreams also give him ideas on what to write. But like any other dreams, he forgets what he dreamed of. So, Hong Yue felt frustrated.

"If only I can't sleep forever so that my ideas won't be lost in my sleep…" Hong Yue said and sighed.

Lan Xing's brows knitted when he heard what he said. Even though he doesn't ask Hong Yue what story that Hong Yue writes since that is Hong Yue's privacy, he feels concerned since Hong Yue looked disgruntled.

"Well, maybe you can go out and look for new ideas?" Lan Xing suggested when he recalled the comments that he read where the other readers suggest Scarlet Night to do when Scarlet Night encounters writers' block. He thinks that Hong Yue also encountered a writers' block.

Hong Yue looked at Lan Xing and his gaze looked as if saying, 'are you serious?'. This made Lan Xing grimace since he recalled that Hong Yue is extremely lazy.

Lan Xing hesitated. "I found a newly-opened amusement park named 'Dawn' of Tianming* Corporation, so the safety measures are secured." He spoke. "Shall I carry you there?" he offered.

*Dawn; Zhou Tianshan's company

The author has something to say:

If even I find it hard to leave the bed, how about both a student and an author like Yueyue? XDDD

P.S.: beds seem to have magic that makes us not leave it, especially during the morning, when you have to go to work... XDDDDDD
