Oh My God...

"Soo... The thing was-" Pawan explained everything to Bhavna

"I yelled at her first" 

"He kicked her right in front of my eyes" 

His voice showcased guilt, anger and frustration all at once.1 

She also understood and she was also patting Jiya's head slowly. Soon after Pawan was done with the story, there was a knock at the door. 

"Excuse me, ma'am, the family doctor, Anubhav is here" "Please send him in" 

He enters, wearing a light blue shirt, a navy blue trouser and a small handbag.

Anubhav, A man in his early thirties. He is our family doctor after his uncle retired from the same job. He has been working for us for the past 6 years. He has successfully won the trust of him...

"Good evening, Anubhav" His Mom greeted, He passed a big smile and gave her a small bow. "Hey?" Pawan raised his hand while sitting on a chair. "Hey!" He said and went towards him. Pawan stood up from his chair and Anubhav passed a hug. Pawan sighed as soon as he wrapped his arms around him. They kept hold of the hug for quite a while and backed off with awkward silence filling the whole space.

"Aunty, you seemed in such a hurry, now tell me what happened?" He asked with genuine worry in his eyes. Bhavna nodded and looked at the blanket with a bump underneath. JIiya had fallen asleep cuz' of the relief...

 She slowly pulled down the blanket that was covering Jiya. "Jiya? What is she doing here?" He also seemed a little surprised. He took some steps towards her and took a good look at her. "Is she having a fever?" "Yeah..." She replied, "Then please give her this medication..." He said and started ruffling his bag

"No..." Pawan interrupted and started looking down at his feet. "No? What do you mean?" Anubhav repeated his statement and frowned his brows. "Uh... She was in much pain before... Like She couldn't even have a deep breath..." "Oh... really? She could not?" he asked with a confused look. Pawan nodded in response. 

"Let's take her to the hospital..." Anubhav said after a long pause, with a serious look.

It was as if he calculated all the possibilities in his mind... 

After some time, they were off to the hospital. Pawan, Anubhav and Jiya were in a car while, Bhavna and Raj were in one car. 

Not soon before they reached, Pawan slowly placed Jiya on another chair and they were led by Doctor Anubhav. "Pawan, can I know in detail? If possible?" He hesitantly asked his question, And Pawan began recalling all the mishappenings that happened because of him...

"Okay..." Anubhav said with a complete change in his emotions. "Let's first take her to get an X-ray," He said after a sigh. 

Soon they were in an X-ray room. Jiya was awake after the movement happening around her...

"Jiya, Be careful and can you lie down on this bed?" Anubhav asked her while gazing all around the room except at her. Jiya nodded with a smile. Pawan softly grabbed one of her arms while a nurse assisted with the other. Jiya slowly lay down on the surface and Anubhav pulled down his surgical gloves, Jiya looked at him with doe eyes and a small pout.

"Now, tell me where it hurts?" He asked with a kind smile. "He-here..." She said while barely moving any part of her body except one arm. Anubhav nodded at her statement "Can I see?" "Yeah." She said in approval. He slowly lifted her shirt and revealed a patch of blue and purple skin. A loud pitiful intake of air was heard from, the nurse and Bhavna's mouth. Pawan peeked through his almost closed eyes. "Okay, Now we are ready for an X-ray," He said, turning towards the nurse...

Soon enough, Anubhav ran the machine to get an X-ray. After some time they left the room. They were all left alone... In dead silence, just some noise coming from outside.

Pawan was lost in some deep thoughts while Bhavna was looking around the room and Jiya was still lying on the bed.

"Pawan?" Jiya asked in a low voice. All the attention went to her and both the head turned towards her. "Yeah? What happened? A-are you" "Oh-No But do you know where is my phone?" she asked with a weak tone cutting him down. Pawa first sighed and began "No I think I didn't have your phone while coming here..." he said while rubbing his nape. "Oh-" "You want it? Wait Just fifteen minutes" He said and rushed outside the room. 

Jiya tried to stop him but she couldn't, and he already left the room...

 Pawan Pov~

Gosh, how can I forget her phone with that moron?! I scolded myself as I rushed down to the parking.

I pulled out my phone while skipping downstairs "Raj-Raj-Raj Where is he?!" I murmured while scrolling down my contact list "THERE!" I accidentally shouted gaining attention. Fuck. Whispers began... I excused myself and dialled his number. And Thank-God he picked up on the first ring "Hello?" "Bro Quickly get a car to the front car I am coming," I said and hung up the call.

Maybe he will be confused. BUT he heard me! right?

Soon I was on the road and I saw Raj driving and coming towards my direction. I waved at him and he stopped right in front of me. I opened the door and hopped in the front seat. "We have to go to Jiya's place, and we have to get her phone," I said making myself comfortable and fixing my hair. "Really? Do we have to" "Am I mute?" I said and did an eye roll at him. He sighed my started the car.

Then we were at the same turn, where I met Ranvir. Raj honked and turned while my mind was still stuck on his house. "Her father will be there, won't he be?" He asked and I hummed "We are there to get her phone, I'll be back in no time" I assured him. 

Soon we were both standing in front of Her house...
