As Jake and Mia left, a sense of unease lingered. His words made me uneasy, like he already saw us as rivals, and not in a friendly way.
I glanced at Emily and Kevin, they felt it too.
"Damon, who was that?" Kevin asked.
"That was Jake, we should be wary of him from now on," I responded.
His presence was villainous and menacing.
But we couldn't let it shake us. We'd come this far together, and we couldn't back down now.
Jake's confidence was intimidating, but we won't let it break us. With my Eleanor by my side, we were ready for whatever would come next.
I turned back to Emily and Kevin, reassured by their support. Together, we'd face the challenges ahead with strength and unity.
