Depression Poem

Depression is hiding behind a plastered smile and a glossy eyes.

It's waking up and just deciding whether today will be worth the hassle of getting out of bed.

It's feeling empathy and numb while others laugh and smile all around you. It's standing in a school hallway with your friends but they don't even see you.

It's blaring music so loud you can't even hear yourself think.

It's like escaping into a book so ,for at least, you can escape reality.

Depression is hiding your pain so long that when someone finally notices you and ask if your okay you burst into tears because you just don't know what to feel anymore.

Depression is once being someone who got As and Bs to someone who doesn't care about the F on her report card.

It's waiting till 1 AM to cry because you don't want to bother anyone with your problem.

It's grabbing you pillow to go to sleep and there is a wet spot from all the tears.

Depression is many things but fake it's is not
