Chapter 3: The Nightmare

Alex's POV

"uh... just thanking someone outside..." I told him the half of the truth

he frowns even more, his eyes were blazing in anger, I know that he didn't buy my answer

"then why the hell were you treating him a dinner at MY HOUSE?" He growls as he finds his hand onto my neck

my eyes widen as I see him choking me to death once again, my breathing became weak as I put my trembling hands on his and pull his hands away from my neck

"please...!" I Pleaded him with teary eyes, he shakes his head and presses his hand even more

I manage to get his hand away and scream for help as loud as I can be, he widen his eyes for a bit and locks the door so no one can rescue me

"no!" I scream in horror as I run to the door

he grabs my hair and pulls me to him, I yelp in pain, he turns me around to him and slaps me really hard, the painful smacking sound echoed in the room, I drop into my knees and held my face and cry silently

"that's what you get for meeting another guy" he scowls and went to his drawer, as he scatter around to find the item that he was looking, I stood up and ran quietly to the door, fortunately, I unlock it and ran downstairs

"ALEX!" he shouts my name commanding me to go back to him, when he sticks his head outside our bedroom, I wasn't in the house anymore, I was here at the gates, opening it so I can go outside, my close friend, Michael was chasing me slowly in purpose so I can escape, he knew that I always got abuse and is willing to help me escape even if he gets fired

I was on the streets, Calling for help, shouting the word as loud as I can be, many dogs were barking loudly, I widen my eyes and smile like crazy as I saw a guy with his phone in his hands, he was sitting on his motor, I grab his keys that he was playing with and push him away, I hop on the motorbike and drive really fast completely ignoring his complaints from afar

I didn't know any places that Lance dosen't know, I stop from driving as I reach at the middle of a bridge, I took off my polo shirt and frown, I knew that he was keeping GPS trackers at my clothes, I remove my clothes one by one and remove all the GPS trackers I put my clothes back on and open the storage of the motorbike, I sigh in relief as I quickly take the black leather jacket and wear it, I start to drive again but stopped when I feel like vomiting, I stop once again and puke at the ground beside me, I kneel down and held my stomach tight

"what the hell...?" I mutter

"gotcha." I hear a dark voice behind me, I weakly turn around and Sigh

"trying to escape babe?" Lance smirks in victory

I grab his collar and kiss him, letting him taste the bitterness of the waste that I just vomited, I wanted him to know that the bitterness is just like my life

"you haven't won yet." I smirk and stand up, he stands up as well

"and what is that?" He ask and I smirk, I back away until I reach to the edge, a jump was the only missing piece, I can die happily right now, he widen his eyes as I start to lean back and start to fall

"ALEX!" He shouts my name as I close my eyes and feel my body meet the water

SPLASH!

I close my eyes and let the dark consume me

Jame's POV

"so how did it go?" My twin sister Jane asks as I take my jacket off

"about my date?" I ask and she nods excitingly

I sigh and look at her "it was a disaster."

"oh..." she looks down

"but hey!, I met someone who is more kind and beautiful" I said and she perks up

"really?!, who is she?!" She asks making mom come to us as well

"what's the catch?" Mom asks

"James found a woman!" she squeals making mom chuckles

"well that's good to hear" Dad said while reading a file of documents

"it is indeed, James is the only one in these family who dosen't have a lover" Mom teases and I whine "Mom!"

"anyways, who is she?" Dad asks and types at his laptop

"she's Alex Kim." I exhaled making them all stop from blinking

"a-as in... A-Alex Kim?" Mom stutters and I nod

"oh dear..." Mom sighs and looks at Dad

"honey... dear, isn't she the wife of Lance Kim?" she asks making Dad scoffs

"she is..." Dad sighs

as you can see, my dad is a business man like Lance Kim but Lance is more richer than my Dad and he is more successful, my Dad wanted to work with Lance beacuse he wanted his business to be big as well but Lance always declined it so my Dad's anger grew, he planned to harm Lance and take over his business but he didn't want to harm the others like his wife or his parents or anyone

"how did you two meet?" Jane asks

"she was walking in the bridge with bare feet, I decided to help her since she was upset, I didn't really knew that she was THE Alex kim" I scratch the back of my head

"but hey..., does that mean that the scandal between Lance and Francine are true?" Jane asks making us in a halt

"the reports clamined that it was a forced marriage and he didn't care about Alex, only married her to have children that can take his business one day" Jane said even more giving Dad more information

"it might be true, she gaved me her necklace and she didn't mind to give me the wedding ring, she even walked back home all by herself, shouldn't Lance be taking her home?" I said

"so it must be true then" Mom and Dad said in sync

"what now?" Jane asks and I shrug

"she wanted to meet me again someday" I said and Mom widen her eyes

"To be honest, I don't want Alex to be suffering from Lance, why don't you try and court her, I'm not forcing you though" Dad said

"no it's fine, I want to know more of her, she's really kind and cool, she's a type of person that isn't shy to others unlike the TV screens"

"then go get her!, you might have a chance since it's only a force marriage, We all knew that if Lance and Francine married, he'll throw Alex away, we might get a bigger chance to take Lance down and also help her!" Jane said and Mom agrees

"it dosen't matter if you end up with her, just be befriend her and get all the things and truths that we can take Lance down, Lance needs to taste his own medicine" Dad said and Jane agrees

"anyways, I should sleep, Goodnight guys, love you all" I said and went to my room

I went to the bathroom to take a short bath and came back at the bedroom to change into my pajamas, I took the paper out from the pocket of my jeans and went to my bed to grab my phone to save her number

"It's worth a try" I shrug and try texting her

Me: hey, it's me James :) how are you?

I waited for hours but no reply but it is shown that it was already seened

why didn't she reply back?

what happened to her?

my phone vibrates and open a message from her

the next thing made my hand form into a fist

it was a picture of wet Alex being unconscious still in her clothes ealier, but their was a strange liquid on her lips to her chin

'be careful who you're messing with.'

Alex's POV

I woke up with a scent of perfume, I look around and saw Lance with a Doctor next to me

"Goodmorning ma'am Alex, I have some good news to tell you!" he said and I look up at h with mixed emotions

"what is it?" I swallow my own saliva

"you're pregnant!" he said and I perk up

"really?!" I smile and he did as well

"yes, and I hate to say this but the baby nearly died when you were stressed, I suggest to stop from working and be calm since you have a baby in your womb" he said making my eyes wide

"but..." I was about to say something when Lance covers my mouth

"you need to follow the doctor's orders babe" he said and I frown at him

"It's okay to work but I really suggest you to stop for now since your baby is almost in a critical condition" the doctor said and I sigh

"fine..." I said, the doctor smiles and leaves us both alone

"look at what you've done!, you almost killed my child!" Lance shouts at me and I only look down at my womb

"I've signed your retirement contract, from now on, you're no longer a psychologist but a housewife" He said and I wide my eyes

"what?!, that's my dream!, Lance you already knew that!, how could you do this to me!" I said with tears falling down from my eyes

he grabs my chin and slaps me

"I do what I want so you better behave!" he shouts and I cry hard when the door closed
