Bastian bent down immediately and checked her vital signs. She was breathing. It was likely that she merely had a concussion.
Instinctively, he took a rag and wiped the ink symbol off from her skin. That was when Anasta stirred and muttered a curse.
Bastian helped her get up.
"What did he do to you?" he asked through his teeth.
"Just managed to punch me out before I could cast a spell," Anasta said, sounding just as furious as he was right now. "Nothing more. But I assume that he intended to do more."
Even for Roy, this was a new low point. To attack a woman like that and try to impose a crime like that on her… Bastian had every imaginable reason to hate that man now.
"Are you feeling alright?" he asked.
"No. I need to sit down. Bring me the pink potion from that shelf," Anasta said and pointed towards a bottle on the opposite wall.
"Tell me everything that has happened here," Bastian said.
