70: Surprise Visit

CAMERON'S POV

Nang matanaw ko na ang matayog na gusali ng mga Enriquez mula sa di kalayuan, mas binilisan ko pa ang takbo ko at pagkarating ko sa harapan nito, I quickly rushed out of my car and then stormed inside the lobby without even bothering to properly parked my car.

Everyone who had noticed my entrance had stopped on their track to give me their surprised looks. Probably surprised with my sudden appearance here pero hindi ko na pinansin ang mga ito. I was just here to pay someone a visit. A bloody visit.

"Is the president around today?"

When one of the receptionists nodded her head, umalis na'ko agad and then headed straight to the elevator na sakto namang bumukas na agad.

I heard them called out my name but I can't just let them stop me from this visit when I'm determined to murder anyone who will dare to block my way right now.

Ignoring those women, pumasok na'ko agad sa loob ng elevator and then pressed the floor button to where was the President's office. I've been here countless times before kaya alam na alam ko parin kung saang floor ito makikita.

"Hindi sya makakalakad agad pagkagising niya pero makakalakad rin naman ito ng normal...."

That made the clenching of my teeth tightened nang maalala ko na naman ang sinabing 'yon ng doktor kanina, reminding me na muntikan na siyang maimbalido dahil sa kagagawan ng sarili niyang ama!

Of all people na pwede niyang maging ama, bakit ang taong 'yon pa talaga???!

Naipikit ko nalang ang mga mata ko and then tightly squeezed it out of utter frustrations.

I couldn't even afford to think how she would react to all of this kapag nalaman na niya ito. It would definitely hurt her like hell and I couldn't afford to see that moment.

I was pulled out from my frustrated thoughts when my phone vibrated inside my pocket.

With a tormented groan, I took it out and then answered it when Liam's number appeared on the screen.

"We're here. Nagtataka na ang mga tao ngayon rito kung bakit kami nandito."

"Just proceed to what was being planned, Liam. I'm heading to his office now. Bye." I ended and pocketed back my phone.

When the ding sounded and the elevator door had opened, agad na'kong lumabas doon and then strode to the left where a door with a 'PRESIDENT'S OFFICE' was written on it.

Without even knocking, walang pakundangang binuksan ko na ang pintuang 'yon and then barged inside, interrupting John Enriquez habang seryosong kausap nito ang assistant nito. That same man na lagi nitong kasa-kasama kahit noon pa man.

Enrico Sogocio..

Surprised look was visible in their eyes, probably surprised with my sudden visit. Ignoring their look, I stormed inside his office palapit sa mesa nito but I groaned in annoyance when Enrico was quick enough to block my way bago pa man ako makalapit sa boss nito.

"Mr. Del Fuero! Anong ginagawa mo rito? Hindi ka pwede---"

Hindi ko na ito pinatapos sa iba pa nitong sasabihin and just shoved him out of my way saka tuluyan ng lumapit sa taong may pakana nitong lahat.

Just seeing his face now, mas lalo pang umigting ang galit na nararamdaman ko ngayon. Ama man niya ang tarantadong 'to o hindi, I don't think I could just let him off with this when he had almost killed Ms. Javier today!

"Cameron Del Fuero. What a pleasure to have you here!" Bungad agad nito sa'kin sabay tayo pagkalapit na pagkalapit ko sa mesa nito while giving me his pretentious smile.

"Oh yes, John Enriquez. And I would be very pleasured kung magawa ko man lang ang bagay na'to sa'yo. " I growled out and then without even letting him react, hinila ko na agad ang kurbata nito before I throw him a straight punch on his nose na siyang ikinaigik nito. Causing him to stagger back on his feet and eventually sat back on his chair.

"Sir!" His assistant shouted in horror.

"That was for hurting my woman, Mr. Enriquez! Masyadong marami ka ng kasalanang nagawa sa kanya kaya tama lang yan sa'yo!" I shouted at him with bared teeth.

And I felt so satisfied just seeing his bloody nose right now.

His assistant quickly ran to his side to aid him and assist him to get up.

Matanda na ito pero dahil sa kasamaang ginagawa nito, I'm just too furious right now to even think he was too old to be beaten up.

"You are stepping over the line, Mr. Del Fuero! Alam mong pwede ka naming ipadampot agad sa mga pulis ngayon for trespassing and physical assault!"

I let out a sarcastic scoffed then shook my head at them when the trusted assistant shouted that threat.

"Oh yes. Police! How could I even forget the police?? Kaya nga dinala ko na sila ngayon rito para hindi na kayo mag-abala pang tumawag ng mga pulis, Enrico."

A shock instantly flashed through their eyes pagkarinig sa'kin habang nagsisilakihan ang mga mata nito.

"What do you mean, Del Fuero??" Gulat na tanong ng matanda with blood dripping down from his nose.

"Simple lang naman....I've found that file na hinahanap mo at tapos ko naring tingnan kong anong meron sa bagay na'yon at alam mo ba kung anong nakita ko doon, John?" I gave him a mocking smirk which made him stiffened on his feet.

"It was your dirty deeds. Your illegal activities gamit ang kompanyang 'to mula pa man noon."

"Hindi yan totoo!"

"But the file was telling me the opposite. Dahil sa kagustuhan mong lumago agad ang kompanya ng asawa mo, you have made business transactions with illegal mobs. Smuggling items into and out of the country for a long long time." I uttered with emphasis while shaking my head, making his scowl deepened.

"I didn't know you could stoop that so low, John. You know that is a grievous crime, don't you?"

"Tingin mo ba matatakot mo'ko sa bagay na'yan, del Fuero? That is just a baseless accusations at hindi-----"

"Baseless?" I scoffed and then with pursed lips, I continued.

"That file even contained a long list of those people na nakatransact mo noon na posibleng kasosyo mo parin hanggang ngayon and you still call it 'baseless'??"

His face darkened more when I mentioned that list while growling at me like he was ready to attack me now.

"You can't fool me, Del Fuero. Alam kong gawa-gawa mo lang yan---"

"Then should I mention a name then?" Putol ko na rito, challenging him to deny it again na siyang ikinatigas pa lalo ng mukha nito ngayon.

"Alam mong pwede kitang kasuhan ngayon, Del Fuero! Sinisiraan---"

"Don't even bother yourself, John. Tapos na'kong magsampa ng kaso laban sa'yo and now.. The police would be the one to escort you out of your office today."

"Anong ibig mong sabihin??" He growled out while throwing me a sharp glare. With his reddened face and tight fists, alam kong ilang sandali nalang sasabog na ito sa galit.

Which made me more satisfied seeing that reaction from him now.

"That means I have a surprise for you, John Enriquez." Then with a smirk, I turned to the closed door behind me.

"Liam."

Pagkatawag ko sa pangalan nito, the door had suddenly burst opened and then four men in their police uniforms with Liam behind them came in, making their eyes widened in alarm.

"Del Fuero! Anong ibig sabihin nito??!" Galit ng sigaw nito, throwing me a look that he thought could scare the hell out of me. But I think it was impossible for him to scare them off now dahil lumapit na agad sa kanya ang apat na mga pulis na'yon

"Anong ginagawa niyo mga tonto??!! Alam nyong pwede ko kayong ipakulong dahil sa pag-----." Napatigil agad ito as horror appeared in his face nang biglang pinusasan na ang mga kamay nito, making Enrico to step to the side.

"Mr. John Enriquez, inaaresto ka namin sa salang pagpupuslit ng mga kargamento palabas at papasok ng bansa at sa pagtangkang pagpatay kay Ms. Samantha Romero. You have the right to remain silent and anything you say can be and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney but if you cannot afford it, one will be provided for you. "One of the police stated the Miranda rights while showing the arrest warrant in his hand, ignoring his plea then motioned the other police to escort him outside.

"Wala akong pinagtangkaang patayin mga tonto! Bitiwan nyo'ko!!" He cried out in protests habang nagpupumiglas na makawala mula sa pagkakahawak sa kanya ng mga ito.

"Sa presinto nalang kayo magpaliwanag, sir." Matigas na saad ng isa pang pulis nang magpumiglas ito, making him growled in protests.

"Rico! Do something! Wag na wag mo'kong hahayaang ipakulong ng mga hunghang na'to!!!" Galit na sigaw pa nito sa magaling na assistant nito habang nagpupumilit na makawala mula sa pagkakaposas as he was being escorted out of his office now.

"Wag kang mag-alala sir! Gagawan ko ito ng paraan!"

"Yan ay kung hahayaan ko man lang kayo na mahanapan ng butas ang kasong 'to.." panunuyang sambat ko sa mga ito which caused their glare snapped to my way.

"Del Fuero!!! Pagbabayaran mo ng mahal ang ginawa mong 'to sa'kin! Hinding-hindi ko mapapalampas 'to!"

With pursed lips, nilapitan ko na agad ito while motioning the police to stop for a minute na ginawa naman agad ng mga ito. Fear instantly flickered in his eyes as the wrinkles in his face became more visible. Siguro takot na masapak ko na naman ang pagmumukha nito.

Pero kahit na gustung-gusto ko ng patayin ito ngayon, I stopped myself dahil kahit ganito kasama ito, he was still Ms. Javier's biological father.

"At hinding-hindi ko rin mapapalampas ang mga ginawa mo sa kanya at sa pamilya nya, Mr. Enriquez! Masyadong marami kanang kasalanang nagawa sa kanya kaya tama lang na pagdusahan mo 'yon sa kulungan!.." I hissed with low voice as I throw him a malicious look habang mahigpit na nakakuyom lang ang mga kamay sa gilid.

"Hindi ko alam kung anong kalokohan yang pinagsasabi mo ngayon, del Fuero! Wala akong pamilyang inagrabyado!" Mariing sigaw naman nito.

That made me bared my teeth more, stopping myself so hard not to strangle him to death for denying that to my face!

"Sa dinami-raming tao na inagrabyado mo, pinili mo pa talagang saktan ang pamilyang Romero! Sarili mong anak nagawa mong ipapatay dahil lang sa kagustuhan mong makuha ang file na'yon!"

When I blurted out that fact, shock instantly registered on his face.

"Anong kalakohan yang pinagsasabi mo, Del Fuero?? Anong sarili kong anak ipinapatay ko?? Nahihibang ka na ba? Wala akong ginawang masama kay Charles kaya----"

"Wala ka ngang ginawa sa'kin, papa."

Our heads were snapped to the doorway when someone had butted that in, to Charles Enriquez who just came in from that door.

"Charles, son! Sabihin mo nga sa mga inutil na taong 'to na hindi kita sinasaktan at mas lalong hindi kita pinagtangkaang patayin!" He cried out for a rescue, now looking relieved seeing his son here.

I let out a groan when Charles give me a disapproval look bago ito lumapit sa'min.

"Don't even think about meddling with this, Enriquez." I growled at him with warning voice which to my utter annoyance, hindi man lang nya ito sinagot and just stood up beside me and faced his father instead.

"I didn't came here to meddle with this matter, Cameron. I was just here to bid my father a farewell."

"Son? Anong kalokohan yang pinagsasabi mo?" Kunot-noong tanong nito, confused with him. "Ba't hindi mo nalang kayang sabihin sa mga taong 'to na hindi kita sinasaktan! Tell them now, Charles!" Galit na utos nito sa anak, but when Charles slowly shook his head in refusal, his lips instantly thinned in line.

"Charles! Anong ibig----"

"No, papa. Hindi ako ang anak mo na pinagtangkaan mong patayin kundi yong isa mo pang anak."

That made me groaned in disapproval when he uttered that, not liking what he was about to reveal, causing his father to frown more in confusion.

"Don't even think about telling him about her, Enriquez!!"

"Don't stop me, Cameron. Karapatan nyang malaman ang totoo!"

Mas lalo lang akong napapatiim habang matalim na nakatingin sa kanya when he shouted that back.

"Anong anak, Charles?? Wala akong ibang anak kaya----"

"Ang anak mo kay Roselyn Romero, papa. Ang dati mong karelasyon noon."

This time, mas lalo pa itong natigalgal pagkarinig sa katotohanang 'yon, making his eyes almost ready to separate from his sockets.

"H-Hindi yan totoo!" Saad pa nito after a few seconds of his silence while shaking his head, looking like he was convincing himself na hindi totoo ang mga naririnig niya ngayon.

"Hindi 'yan totoo!! Hindi kami nagkaanak ni Rose noon! Hindi ko alam 'yang pinagsasabi niyo!"

"But Ms. Rose admitted that you had, papa. At Itinago niya lang 'yon mula sa'yo sa kagustuhang protektahan niya ang anak niyo laban sa'yo pero anong ginawa niyo? Sa kagustuhan niyong makalamang ng tao, sinira niyo ang buhay niya. Sinira mo ang pamilyang nag-aruga sa kapatid ko! Muntikan mo pang lumpuhin ang sarili niyong anak kanina!"

Mas lalo pa itong napatigil sa kinatatayuan nito, looking more stupefied with that fact.

"Ms. Javier---"

"Right! Ms. Javier is your real daughter at muntikan mo na siyang mapatay kanina kung nagkataong mas malala pa ang ginawa ng magaling mong mga tauhan!!!"

I think Enriquez was just holding himself na masuntok ang sarili nitong ama with his veins in his hands ready to pop out dahil sa higpit ng pagkakakuyom nito ngayon.

"Hindi 'yan totoo.. H-Hindi 'yan totoo!" He kept saying in denial while he kept shaking his head.

"Rose couldn't be hiding a secret from me..She couldn't be .." he went on as he started to step back habang panay parin ang pag-iling nito.

"But she did. All this time she was just hiding Samantha from us dahil sa takot niya sa'yo. And it would be impossible for your daughter now to forgive you. You have ruined everything she had before..." Enriquez trailed off, with his voice sounded hoarse just uttering those words. But after a few seconds, he continued.

"You have killed her family before kaya nararapat lang na pagbayaran mo 'yon sa loob ng kulungan, papa!"

"Hindi ko pinatay sina Nickandro!"

When he'd shouted that, hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko na masakal ito sa leeg, alarming everyone around.

"Nagagawa mo pa talagang itanggi 'yon ngayon when it was clear as the day now na ikaw ang may pakana kung bakit nangyari ang aksidenteng 'yon!!" Nanggalaiting asik ko rito, holding his neck in a vise grip.

"Cameron! Let go of him now bago mo pa mapatay si papa!" I just growled more when Enriquez yelled that out.

I was just shaking so much in rage now to even hear them.

"Sir, hindi niyo pwedeng gawin 'yan sir! Pwede nila itong gamitin sa korte laban sa'yo kaya mas mabuting bitiwan niyo nalang po siya ngayon."

When one of the police firmly stated that, I clenched my teeth so hard as my hold at his throat tightened as well, choking this shit.

"Cameron, just let go of him now! Hayaan mo nalang na ang batas na ang magparusa sa kanya.."

When Liam intervened, I didn't let go of him yet.. But after a few seconds of just gritting my teeth hard and murdering him in my mind, inis ko ng binitawan ito who quickly gasped for air while coughing out habang nakahawak sa leeg nito, catching his dear breath.

"Dadalhin na namin siya ngayon." Anang pulis saka agad ng lumabas sa silid na'yon hawak-hawak ang nakaposas na matanda habang hirap parin itong makahinga ng maayos.

I just stayed there for a while, calming my nerves bago pa'ko mabaliw ng tuluyan dahil sa tindi ng galit ko ngayon.

If John Enriquez wasn't just her biological father, hindi sana ako magdadalawang-isip na patayin ito kanina!

Liam and Enriquez just stayed muted beside me at hindi parin lumalabas sa silid na'yon. But after a while, I heard someone let out a loud sigh.

"Cam, now that you're done with him, babalik ka na ba sa hospital ngayon?"

I heard Liam inquired, breaking the silence in that room. I didn't turned to him and instead, I just started to head to the door which made them followed on my heels.

"It's not over yet, Liam. I'm certain magkakagulo na naman ang press nito. Aayusin ko na muna ang bagay na'to."

"Then what about Samantha, Cameron?"

That made me halted with my steps when I heard Enriquez growled that. I whirled around and was greeted with the distaste look he was throwing at me.

"Alam mong maya-maya lang magigising na siya kaya ba't mas inaalala mo pa yata kung anong sasabihin ng press when my sister was there, bedridden and would want you to be there kaysa intindihin mo pa ang mga taong 'yon???!" Asik pa nito, playing his role so well as a good brother kahit hindi pa man nito alam if Ms. Javier would even accept him as a family.

"Do you really think na hindi ko gustong gawin 'yan ngayon, Enriquez?" Maanghang na tanong ko rito.

"Hindi mo alam kung gaano ko na kagustong puntahan siya ngayon but knowing that she'd just throw me a lot of questions kung anong nangyari sa kanya. Do you think she'd be happy if I'd tell her that his own 'father'--" I uttered with emphasis at the last part.

"..was the man who had ruined her life! Tingin mo ba matatanggap niya agad 'yon??! Hindi mo alam kung anong ginawa niya just to find your father and now that I did, I don't want her to find that out hangga't hindi pa maganda ang kondisyon nito. I'm sure you wouldn't want to know kung anong maaari niyang gawin kapag nalaman niya ang tungkol dito."

"Anong posible niyang gawin?"

That made me growled more at him, asking too much questions and of all things na tatanungin nito, he had really asked that now, reminding me with her words before.

"Aalis ako na para bang hindi man lang ako dumating sa mundong 'to. That man had killed my parents and took everything from me so leaving everything behind would be so easy for me..."

"I wasn't planning to just hide myself from anyone, Mr. Del Fuero.... Killing myself was the right thing to do after I killed that man myself...."

When her words replayed in my head, that made me squeezed out my eyes in agony.

Kung malalaman niya ang masakit na katotohanan tungkol sa pagkatao niya, I doubted if I could even stop her with her plan now. I just couldn't bear losing her now kaya mas mabuting hindi ko na muna ito pupuntahan ngayon to give her more time.

"Wala. It would be better kung wala ka munang gagawin na tiyak pagsisihan mo lang sa huli, Enriquez. Just don't tell her anything about this." Tanging sagot ko nalang rito before I whirled back and then strode towards the elevator with Liam following on my heels. Leaving Enriquez there just stood rooted on his feet.

"Liam, ikaw na muna ang pupunta sa kanya ngayon."

"What???! Ba't naman ako lang?" Liam asked with disbelief in his voice.

I just sighed before I get into the elevator when the door had opened.

"Magsama ka ng kahit sinong gusto mo para dalawin siya ron."

"At ano namang sasabihin ko sa kanya when she'd interrogate me about why you can't bloody come?? That you were busy with something right now at mas mahalaga pa'yon kaysa sa kanya?? Oh No, Cam!. I don't think I could just let Samantha grilled me with questions later kung nasaan ka at ba't di ka makapunta doon! Or worse! Baka tutukan na naman ako ng baril ng babaeng 'yon kapag hindi niya nagustuhan ang sagot ko mamaya!! Oh no! Ayoko, Cam!! No way!" Came his exaggerated protests and refusals.

And just hearing his annoying voice, shrieking like a woman, napapailing na lamang ako as I heaved out a sigh.

"You know she can't do that for now, Liam. Hindi pa ito gumagaling kaya hindi niya 'yon magagawa sa'yo."

"But you know she can!! Alam mong malala pa sa metal detector ang babaeng 'yon! Nagsisimula pa lang akong magsinungaling, buko na nya'ko agad!" He added, making me just kept shaking my head in annoyance as we headed down through the lobby of ECC.

At gaya nga ng inaasahan ko, nagkakagulo na nga ngayon sa labas ang mga tao, especially the ECC's employees seeing their dear president being escorted by the police out of the building and to the police car waiting outside.

At mga ilang sandali lang, sasabog na ang balitang 'to and I should never let her see that news paggising nito.

With that thought, agad na'kong naglakad papunta sa likurang daanan just to avoid the mob outside. Liam just kept following me while he kept groaning. Probably protesting with my idea of him visiting Ms. Javier all alone. But knowing him, alam kong pupunta pa rin ito kahit ayaw nito.

Napapailing-iling na lang ako dahil dito habang patuloy parin sa paglalakad patungo sa sasakyan ko, ignoring the asshole behind who just kept stomping his feet in protest.
