31: Caught-in-the-act

SAM'S POV

I just shrugged in nonchalance at the blonde woman before I bent down beside the unconscious bastard.

Why let some stranger to save him if I could just save him myself?

And without waiting for any response from them, I bent down my head closer to his face.

A dark blood that was starting to get dry rested on his forehead and some were at his dark brows. His lips were pale but nonetheless, parang natutulog lang ito while having a dream.

My lips instantly turned in a tight purse at the thought of him just having a dream.

The bastard! How dare he to just foolishly sleep there at hayaan lang ako ritong magkadaugaga na maghanap ng paraan just to save us!

With bared teeth and pinprick glare, I held up my right hand and then with all my grudge I had saved up for him, my hand then brutally kissed on his cheeks.

A loud slapping sound instantly rang through the night, leaving a red hand mark on his face.

The best way to wake him up.

"WHAT OF THE DEVILS HAVE YOU DONE?!!!!!!"

My glare was snapped to Ms. Pritcels way when she had shouted that in horror.

Her face was of no doubt surprised with my version of 'saving this bastard' she had a crush on.

"Waking him up.." I stated in a matter-of-factly tone.

"Well, you've got a weirdest way of saving someone! You're goin' to kill him!"

I just gave her a pointed look with my brow slightly quirked up to the side.

"Oh, was it?" I asked, feigning innocence with it, wanted to annoy her.

Hindi naman nya 'ko masisisi sa ginawa ko because saving someone isn't really my expertise, killing is!

"Absolutely! You've got a weirdest idea of saving him!! " She yelled out sabay takbo palapit sa walang malay na del Fuero then pushed me away from him!

This shit!

Groaning, I quickly inched myself away from them, especially from her with bared teeth. Baka makalbo ko pa ang malanding to 'pag di ako makapagtimpi!

I just kept glaring at her while she kept on tapping his cheek with her face only an inch away from his own!

This leech!

"Handsome?? Wake up! You're safe now, honey."

My arched quirked up a that when I heard her soothingly whispered that. Her blonde curly hair falling off around his face.

Honey?

Huh! As if Mr. Del Fuero would later kissed her out of gratitude because of that. The hell that bastard would even do that!

"Honey---"

"I think we need to keep him warm inside the cabin, Ella. He's drenched and certainly freezin' right now."

I mentally nodded my head vigorously when Amara suddenly intervene, agreeing with her suggestion.

"Oh! Yes! That's a good idea you have right there, Amy! Okay! We'll do that then!" Masiglang sagot nito saka agad ng tumayo.

"Brian? Come, help Edison to take him inside. Faster!" She ordered with a clap of her hand, bossing around her friends!

Though I heard the men grunted with disapproval, I think maldita talaga ang babaeng 'to since in just a glare from her, the two quickly complied with hasty steps.

A spoiled rotten brat indeed!

"Safely take him inside. Make sure to----"

"Ms. Javier??"

My breath suddenly halted when I heard my name being called.

That voice!

My gaze shifted to his way and found him slowly fluttered his eyes.

I suddenly felt relieved seeing him now conscious, alive and ready to be kicked in his balls!

"Honey! You've finally woke up!"

My eyes narrowed in a second the moment Ms. Pritcels suddenly butted in, pushing off the two men around Mr. Del Fuero as she get to his side with eyes glinting with admiration habang hinihimas-himas pa ang mukha ng gago.

Can anyone give me some knife now so I could cut her limbs now? Pretty please?

For a few moment, Mr. Del fuero just stared at her with muted mouth, obviously studying her smiling face just a few inches away from his own face. And then when it had finally dawn on him na hindi niya kilala ito, he unceremoniously pushed her off hard. Hard which made her fell on her butt. He quickly got up and sat there before his hawkish eyes scanned his surroundings with pursed lips.

"Ms. Javier! Where are you----s-shit!" He suddenly cursed out as he cupped his left cheek with a grimace.

"Ms. Javier!! Anong ginawa mo sa mukha ko??!!"he shouted while still grimacing.

I didn't answered him at saka nanatili lang na nakamasid rito as I was enjoying his reaction.

Oh geez. I'm sure he'd lash out on me kapag nalaman nito kung anong kalokohan ang ginawa ko sa kanya while he was unconscious and helpless to defend himself from my assault.

"Ms. Jav---"

He suddenly halted calling my name when his eyes unfortunately landed on me.

"You!"

"Yes?? May problema ba, Mr. Del Fuero? Did you miss me that much para magkandaugaga ka na diyan sa kahahanap sa'kin?"

Mas lalo pang tumalim ang pagkakatingin nito sa'kin when I tried to joke that.

"Anong ginawa mo sa mukha ko when I was unconscious? Bakit sumasakit 'tong mukha ko and even my head?! Did you try to beat me nung wala akong malay, Ms. Javier??! I know you've dreamt to do that thing kaya 'wag na 'wag mong ikaila----"

"Bakit? May sinabi ba'kong hindi ko ginawa 'yon? I didn't right?"

His nostrils instantly flared out at that as his eyes almost ready to literally prick some lasers at me. Obviously not liking what I just admitted.

"Sinasabi ko na nga ba!! Anong ginawa mo sa'kin kanina??? Are you really----"

He suddenly halted when a loud clearing of throat from behind him sounded, snapping our attention to that way.

"Can anyone of you atleast tell us what are you two talking about now?" Amara interrupted with her brows knitted in confusion while looking at me and then to Del Fuero.

"In English, perhaps? So we could understand what's goin' on 'ere."

Oh yes. I guess I've enjoyed having a spat with Mr. Del Fuero that much kaya halos nakalimutan ko na ng tuluyan that we've got four audiences around us. Just looking at their faces, halatang naguguluhan ang mga ito sa kung ano ang pinag-aawayan namin. More so with Ms. Pritcels' face, with her eyes childishly glared at us with pouted lips.

As if she'd appeared cute in Mr. Del Fuero's eyes kapag ginawa niya 'yon!

"Where are we now, Ms. Javier? At sino naman ang mga asungot na'to? Saan mo ba napulot ang mga 'to? Did you finally got out of your mind to even take them here with us??!"

I groaned out when he had stupidly blurted that out. Causing me to almost bash his head nang mawalan na naman ng malay ito because I think we'll be safe if he was like that!

"Hindi sila mga asungot, Mr. Del Fuero. So shut up!" I whisper-yelled at him while giving him a warning look.

But to my utter disappointment, the bastard just raised his brows then studied the people around us like he was just studying some dirt.

God heaven!

"Don't order me around, Ms. Javier! Bakit nandito ang mga taong 'to? And why are we here?" Iritadong tanong nito as his eyes shifted on the pouting Ms. Pritcels beside him.

"At bakit ganito makatingin sa'kin ang babaeng 'to? Is she asking me to give her a kerchief to wipe that over excessive lipstick off her lips? Hindi pa naman siguro baliw ng babaeng 'to ano?" He inquired sabay turo sa kay Ms. Pritcels na para bang kagagaling niya lang sa pagsiswiming at hindi sa bingit ng kamatayan.

I can't help but just squeezed out my eyes and make a face palm out of frustrations.

"Excuse me??! What did you just say? My over excessive lipstick??!"

Hearing that, all I could do was peeked through my fingers with one eye when Ms. Pritcels reacted that. His lips were thinned in in line and her nostrils were flaring out.

"I have even brought you 'ere and save you from death! And then you'll---"

"Silence, woman!"

Ms. Pritcels snapped his mouth shut when the bastard suddenly shouted that with firm and powerful voice, voice that he usually used to his employees.

"Enough with your nonsense! I've got no time to spare for your dramas. Ms. Javier??!"

My eyes instantly rolled upward when he glanced at my way.

"Your eyes, Ms. Javier! I am not done with you yet, with you calling me shit!"

"You've remembered that?"

"Of course! D'you think I've just forget about that so easily? I hadn't forgive you with that yet kaya sabihin mo na sa mga taong 'to to turn this boat this instant because we're heading back to the hotel! I still have to make those idiots who dared to tamper my car pay for it!"

I just frowned and glared at him at that 'forgiving' part.

"Forgiving me? Did you even hear me asking for your forgiveness, Mr. Del Fuero? I am not, right? So there's nothing for you to forgive."

His nostrils again started to flare out like a red bull ready to attack anyone in his sight.

"This is unforgivable, Ms. Javier!" He hissed saka dali-daling tumayo like a firecracker was being lit under his butt habang galit na nakatingin sa'kin. Not even showing any sign that he was cold and need my warm hug!

"You!"

"What, you shit?" I pointedly answered with crossed arms. Not even alarmed with his eyes ready to strangle me now.

"Inaasar mo ba'ko, Ms. Javier?"

"No. You just heard me calling you shit right now."

The twitching of his jaw intensified with his hands tightly balled in fists on his sides.

An indication that he was just stopping himself to grab my lovely neck and strangle me to death.

Tssh! As if I'd even allow that to happen.

"You're really trying to stretch my patience to no end, Ms.----"

"Enough!"

That order pulled us out from our own world and made our head snapped to where that voice came from.

"I dunno what you two are arguing right now and whatever it was, I. DON'T. CARE!"

Oh...

I can't help but just gape at Amara when she had shouted that with no nonsense look in her face. Her hands were on her hips while her chest was moving up and down. Brian and Edison guarding in each of her sides with crossed arms, nodding their heads in agreement.

From the look of her, I know she was out of patience and would anytime ready to throw us out of their boat.

Oh-oh. Wag naman sana. But if she will. Ang gagong kasama ko lang sana.

"All we need from you two were your darn names and why'd you get into that water with a few gashes on your head and not your fucking argument!" she added while pointing at the water but eyes on the scowling Mr. Del Fuero.

I think I'm going to be friends with this cool blonde woman here.

Go girl. Go hit some balls girl!

"You ungrateful man! I know you were calling us with names in your language! And enough talking like an alien shit, I want it in english! So now, state your names or I'll throw you out of here!"

My mouth instantly stretched in a grin sabay tayo saka lumapit rito and held out my hand at her.

"Hi, Amara! I'm Sam Javier by the way! And that ungrateful bastard there--" Sabay turo sa gagong del Fuero which made him growled.

"--is Mr. Del Fuero. He's unfortunately my boss and I'm truly sorry for whatever he had stupidly called you---"

"I heard you very loud and clear, Ms. Javier!"

I just shook my head when he shouted that.

"Okay. I take it back, Amara. You can just throw him right now and here if you want. Don't even hesitate to do that please."

"You sure 'bout that?" Brian said with probing look, probably surprised with me saying that.

"Ahuh. You can even do it now. With great pleasure!" I confidently exclaimed with a grateful smile, ignoring Mr. Del Fuero kept growling like a mad lion behind me.

Amara just crossed her arms against her flat chest habang nakataas ang kilay na nakatingin sa'kin, looking at me with intrigue eyes.

"You sure you won't even mind if we torture this idiot you were with before we'd throw him out of here and let him freeze in the sea?"

I quickly nodded at her, more forceful than what was needed.

"Absolutely! I would even celebrate that if you'll do that honor, Amara. You know, he's really a pain in my ass---I mean to all of us so you all can do whatever you want from him. That way----"

"That if I'd even allow you all to even lay your disgusting hands on me, fools!"

Amara's probing eyes became a glare in an instant as the two men make a defensive stunt.

"Excuse me???!"

"Honey?" Ms. Pritcels butted in.

"And who the hell are you? And why the hell are you calling me with ridiculous names, woman?"

When he growled that with distaste, Ms. Pritcels pouted at him while groaning like a child being deprived with candies.

"You!"

Amara's brow shot up when the bastard had suddenly pointed her with his finger like a superior that he was.

"And what 'bout me?!"

"I want you to turn this boat back to the city this instant. "

Oh no... The idiot must've really hit his head pretty badly!

"And why would we do that? You're just an ungrateful stranger who unwelcomely get into this boat-----"

"I'll gonna pay you."

That made me suddenly blinked a few times nang bigla niyang sabihin 'yon. Can't believe what I just heard from him!

I am not just hearing things now, am I?

Amara just stared at him with no nonsense look in her face habang kibit ang mga balika nito. Brian and Edison kept nodding their heads. No doubt, agreeing what they were hearing.

For a few moment, she just stayed silent while studying him. Probably studying him if he's dead serious with his offer.

"Your offer." She said after a while of her silence, now in negatiating mode.

"10."

"Two thousand."

"50."

Nanatili lang akong nakamasid sa kanila, amazed with them changing offers.

Tsk, tsk, tsk... Hindi parin talaga nagbabago ang gagong 'to. Nagagawa nyia parin talagang maging kuripot kahitnasa ganitong sitwasyon ito.

"Two thousand."

"100."

Again, my eyes rolled upward when the stingy bastard had shamefully haggled the price, remembering that one time at ECC's charity event.

That damn memorable night.

"Give in or no deal would be sealed here."

I smirked when his jaw slightly twitched while staring back at Amara.

And the look of him, I know he was giving in. Mukhang wala itong kawala kay Amara.

"Fine."

I nodded in satisfaction when he finally grumbled that with tormented voice. Probably after mentally giving a vigil to his money.

R.I.P. two thousand bucks!

"Good." Amara stated with a nod saka tumingin sa nakasimangot na si Ms. Pritcels behind Mr. Del Fuero.

"Ella? Go tell the captain to change our route for tonight. We're heading back to the mainland."

"But---"

"No buts, Prizella. Go now!"

A deep scowl instantly flashed through her face while glaring at her.

"Fine! Ashkdbcmjdk..."she grumbled in an incoherent words saka nagmamaktol ng pumasok sa loob ng cabin, and for sure heading to the captain.

"Now, Edison?"

"Yes, Amy?" Dylan answered when she called him, ignoring Ms. Pritcel's stomping steps.

"Give them some dry clean cloth and probably a hot mug. I'll just be around here."

Edison quickly nodded at that then complied.

"And you two."

Nang sabihin niya 'yon, I looked at her with expectant eyes wand with a small smile. But from out of the corner of my eyes, Mr. Del just groaned at that while glaring at her with face clearly unable to move on with him losing his thousands of bucks from a woman.

"You two stay here. I don't wanna hear more of your quarrel." Then without waiting for our answers, she spun around and then strode towards the cabin.

Gosh! I really need to be friends with her! No matter what! She had----

"Ms. Javier?"

"What?" I asked without glancing at him.

"Let's split the payment in half. A thousand bucks for you and the other half is mine."

"What??" I snapped at him in disbelief. And I felt like the time had suddenly stop ticking as my blood instantly boiled up to the peak of mount everest just hearing him saying it like he was just telling me to split his head off and not to bloody spend dollars!

A thousand dollars! Holy shit!

"I said we'll split the payment."

"And why would I do that?"

"No buts and argument should be made, Ms. Javier." He said without even glancing at my way habang nagsimula ng hubarin ang basang pang-itaas na damit nito.

My teeth almost ready to crack out as I was clenching it tightly with my fists tightly balled in fists while breathing heavily in rage.

This stingy bastard!

"No. I won't! My ride is free of charge at ikaw lang ang gusto nilang itapon kanina so why would I bloody split the payment now with you??"

"Because they are taking us back to the city now because of that money, Ms. Javier." he stated, still not looking at my way, as he was busy changing his clothes.

"Then I guess I just have to pay you in advance now to shut you up. " I muttered with gritted teeth before I fished out my gun from under my drenched coat

Digging some bullet on his head would be very good payment.

"Oh.. Buti naman at madali kalang makaintindi, Ms. Javier. Just hand me your payment later----"

He suddenly stopped and snapped his head to my way nang bigla ko ng ikasa ang baril ko while pointing my gun to him. My finger was now itching to pull the trigger.

"Ms. Javier---" he paused again, stopping whatever he was doing as his eyes widened in recognition when he'd spotted the thing in my hand.

"What the hell is that, Ms. Javier?!"

"A gun." I stated with no tinge of any joke in my face while pretending to study it and blew some air on it para linisin 'yon.

"My gun that I'm dying to use against shitty people na gusto akong abusuhin.. You know, some people like you." I sarcastically answered before I pointed the gun at him again.

He just stayed rooted on his feet while glaring at me and my gun. I noticed his Adams apple kept bobbing on his throat with his jaw kept twitching.

He's alarmed.

Well, he should really be.

"Ms. Javier..... I am not in a habit to joke around with you. Especially with that thing! Put that down now!"

"No." I contradicted with a shake of my head.

"Not unless na magamit ko 'to tonight. You want me to split the payment in half then why don't we split just your head instead? Nang matapos ang lahat ng 'to?"

"I said put that down now, Ms. Javier! It's not something na pwede mong paglaruan kahit kailan mo gusto!"

I just rolled my eyes at him and then put it down.

And I noticed him blew out a sigh of relief when I did that.

Ah-ah.. I'm not done with you yet, bastard.

"Well, I know na hindi 'to laruan, Mr. Del Fuero pero hindi ko lang alam why I so wanted to play this thing every time I'm with you. Tulad ngayon." Then again, I playfully pointed it to him with my one eye closed as I make him as my target, causing him to stiffen in alarm again.

"Kung hindi dahil sa'kin, you would've been dead by now and probably pinagpipyestahan ka na ng mga pating ngayon, Mr. Del Fuero.. Instead of thanking me, you wanted me to pay a thousand bloody bucks! I shouldn't have even save your ass at hinayaan na lang sana kitang malunod kanina!" I growled at him while tightly holding the gun, stopping my excitement to just end him and be done with him.

"You've really dreamt to kill me, haven't you?"

"More than you've ever know, Mr. del Fuero...."

For a while, hindi ito umimik and just stared at me with cold dark stares, probably calculating what he'd lose if he ever choose the wrong answer.

To die in my pretty hands or just spend his money.

Madali lang naman akong kausap.

When still, hindi parin ito umiimik and just stayed rooted on his feet, I let out an exasperated sigh then just put down the gun and slid it back under my coat kahit na gusto ko ng kalabitin ang gatilyo ngayon.

"I guess, I'll just take your silence as a yes then. Be grateful that I'm still in my sane mind dahi kung hindi, I wouldn't have even hesitate to do it, Mr. Del Fuero." Inis ko ng saad rito sabay upo sa malapit na bench bed then took the same mug Amara had handed to me awhile ago.

I didn't look at him but I can feel him still eyeing me with cold stares.

I just shrugged my shoulder then just hugged myself tightly habang naghihintay na makabalik sa hotel.

But after a few minutes, I heard him groaned and grumbled some incoherent words.

Something like,

"I shouldn't have hired some damn woman to work for me!"

I can't help but secretly smirked at that, enjoying his predicament of being so vexed of me.

Serves him right!

Still smirking, I peeked at him through the corner of my eyes and I almost spilled out the coffee from my mouth when I spotted him---half naked!

HOLY SHIT!

I coughed out as my eyes glued just to him with his back facing me, oblivious with my hungry stares.

My, my, my....

Kahit hindi masyadong maliwanag sa parte ng yateng 'yon, I know his muscles at his back kept flexing everytime he moves. And I know he got a large built and height of a giant model but heck! I didn't know he'd got a body like that.

A body that made me swallowed hard while maliciously eyeing him like a maniac.

My eyes swiftly shifted to his rear when he suddenly bent down to pick up some dry cloth from the bench bed na malapit sa kanya where his drenched clothes had laid.

Oh no, Sam.... Itigil mo na'to while you still can and enough with salivating his body! Have mercy on his body! You're not here for that kaya itigil mo na'to!

Close you darn eyes now! It's not good for your health and for your sanity. Damn it!

I tried to divert my gaze from the temptation—from his body but damn! The temptation was just too strong that all I could do was to continue gawking at him while my stomach doing a weird feeling, that clenching feeling inside me.

My hold at the mug tightened as my eyes continued feasting his great physiques.

Muscled butt, muscled----

"Are you done checking up on me, Ms. Javier?"

That made me suddenly blinked a few times when he suddenly asked that and found him staring at me with arched brows, obviously catching me stupidly ogling---no, eye-raping him was the right term for that, Sam!

Shit! Gumawa ka na nga ng krimen, hinayaan mo pang mahuli ka! Great job, Sam!

"I wasn't doing such thing!" agad na kaila ko rito as I quickly looked away from him.

There's no way na aamin ako sa kanya. NO. I'd rather die in his arms---I mean, I'd rather die anywhere than admit it to him na pinagnanasaan ko ito.

A big no, no to that.

"Stop denying the obvious, Ms. Javier."

"I said I am not!" I snapped at him, annoyed with him kept insisting it.

"And why do you think I'd do that? Do you have a body that worth for my eyes? Hindi naman di ba?? So no. Hindi kita pinagnanasaan so stop making me admit what---"

"And did I even say na pinagnanasaan mo'ko, Ms. Javier? Not, right?"

I cursed out when he said that, cursing myself for having a big mouth.

Stupid, Sam!

Being caught in the act, I guess I'll just admit my crime then.

He want me to admit it? Then fine!

Ano bang mali dun? Wala diba?

Letting out an exasperated breath, I met his probing eyes in defeat.

"Fine. I admit it! I was checking up on you kanina but just that. Happy now?"
