Psycho, Monster and Stubborn

A few benches later, it's the turn of a pretty girl with a cheerful face and short beige hair to introduce herself. Her body is quite developed in certain areas in contrast to her age.

"Hi, hi! My name is Kushida Kikyō. None of my friends from middle school came to this school, so I'm alone here. I'd like to know all your names and faces right away and become friends as soon as possible!"

Kushida Kikyō, one of the characters belonging to the main trio of the first three volumes of the novel.

At first glance, she's a very caring girl who cares about everyone and tries to get along with everyone. But this is just a mask she tries to wear every day. Deep down, she's a girl full of grudges and who hates being overlooked in terms of attention. In the novel, she has no qualms about getting dirty as long as it harms those she hates.

At first, I sympathized with her. Knowing her story, I thought she was just a girl tormented by the desire to do her best and with a simple inferiority complex. But I quickly changed my mind when, volumes later, she turned out to be a psychopath who likes no one. She's the only person in this room that I find irredeemable. A real piece of shit.

'What am I going to do with you, Kushida Kikyō?'

"My first goal is to become friends with everyone. So, once the introductions are done, I'd like you to share your contact information with me!"

Unlike the others, her introduction is longer. From an outside perspective, it's really impossible to believe that such a character has such an ugly background. Even the main character was deceived for a while.

'I wonder how much time and energy it took her to develop such a personality. There's no denying it, psychopaths are really scary people.'

"So, after school or during the holidays, I want to make all kinds of memories with lots of people. Feel free to invite me to plenty of events! Anyway, I've talked for a long time, so I'll finish my introduction here."

It goes without saying that after this performance, she has already managed to charm the majority of the class, me being the exception, of course.

With that, the introductions continued.

In the novel, it was said that each first-year class consisted of 40 students, but as far as I could read, only 25 students from Class D had been introduced. Therefore, in front of me, many students, whom I have never read about in the novel, introduced themselves. They could be considered variables I have to take into account. However, I imagine that if they've never been highlighted, it's because they don't have any particular background. At least I hope so, otherwise it would be really annoying.

Afterwards, the other students followed suit, one after the other.

I was a little surprised that so far no one has complained but accepted to participate wholeheartedly. However, we were reaching the line where there are two people whose cooperation I doubt.

It's now the turn of the first seat in the last row to introduce himself.

The one occupying the seat is a tall and quite handsome young man with brown hair. He has a nonchalant and idle look, which exudes a carefree attitude. Everyone would see him as a passive and introverted person, but as far as I'm concerned, he's the person with the greatest potential in this class, even in this school.

To put it more clearly, he was the main character of the novel.

"Um. Well, my name is Ayanokōji Kiyotaka. And, um, I don't really have any special skills or anything. I'll do my best to get along with all of you. It's, um, nice to meet you."

'A shaky, flavorless introduction, something only he is capable of.'

And like passing wind, his performance was forgotten.

It's the turn of his neighbor, one of the two people I doubt their cooperation at the moment.

She's a young teenage girl with long black hair, a slim body, but well-endowed, which makes her stand out as beautiful. She's sitting and reading a book, completely ignoring the fact that it's her turn to introduce herself.

One second of waiting became two seconds, and two seconds became three, going up to ten. Quickly, all the attention of the class fell on her.

As for me, I'm not really surprised. It would have been the opposite that would have surprised me.

'A real troublemaker.'

In the novel, her withdrawn behavior began to change as the year progressed, but I have no intention of waiting that long.

"Neighbor of Ayanokōji-kun? I believe it's your turn to introduce yourself."
