Meeting Part 2

I was just sitting there, admiring the camera, when Diev started to chuckle.

"It's interesting, isn't it? Would you like me to show you how it works? I think you will be amazed at the results." He was obviously trying to play to me and butter me up. Maybe he thought that by getting on my good side, I would ask Uncle Dominic to go easy on him. I thought that was what he was trying to do anyway. I could be totally wrong and way off base here though. I decided to just play my part the best that I could while I gathered as much information as possible.

"Of course. I would love to see what this can do. Would you mind showing me, Diev?" I gave him as happy a smile as I could muster, still doing my best to work my face into the mask that I wanted to present. I think it was working too. I didn't feel like I was grimacing at least.

"I would like nothing more, Lady Addie. I think that you will like this little contraption of mine."
