"Mr. Leedon?" Milane's voice carried a note of surprise as she spotted him waiting at her doorstep.
"The chauffeur is downstairs waiting. He mentioned there might be traffic, so he suggested we leave a bit early," he conveyed. "He attempted to text you, but there was no response, which led me to knock on your door to check on you," he explained.
A wry grin formed on his lips as he added, "It seems I've taken on the role of your secretary, Ms. Milane."
"I apologize, Mr. Leedon." Milane swiftly picked up a jacket by the door and declared, "I'm prepared to depart."
Lucas nodded and walked to the elevator.
