Healing Fast

Zev, Jody, and Loel remained in the garden after the doctor, and John had said their goodbyes. Jody, like a kid, jumped gradually in front of them.

"You just got out of bed, love. And you're leaping up and down over what will happen to your wound!" Zev chastised his girlfriend.

Jody approached Zev, dragged him to his feet, and leaped while holding his hand. Zev grinned.

"You're incredibly obstinate," Zev said. He yanked Jody's hand till her body touched his, holding her fiercely.

Loel just stared at the two and then looked away. He sipped the juice after taking a deep breath. Kross, Jack, and Drake's gang came later. They raced to the table, where plenty of leftover food remained. Liza grabbed the empty dishes when she saw Zev's other buddies arriving.

"I'll get you a new one..." Liza replied.

"Liza is very kind, which is why I admire her..." Jack said.

"Raul is your cousin, Sir Jack..." Liza burst out laughing.
