"That was lit!" Pop sat on the cushion we were sitting on before I joined her on the dance floor. "I never knew you can dance that bad." She smiled brightly.
It was as if she were giving me the best compliment in the entire world.
"Neither do I."
Dancing there felt liberating. It was as if I can fly without restraints. I felt like I was a bird that was finally let out of the cage, and was allowed to soar high.
"You were a badass."
"I guess." I check the time on my phone.
"Don't worry, he won't be back by this time. It's a weekend, he loved working until late at night." She wiped the sweat off her brows.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Positive." She raised her palm, "you need to trust me in this. I won't do anything to jeopardize your relationship with my brother."
"Okay." I pocketed my phone and took one of the bottles of spirit we came here with.
