THIRTY- FOUR

Lucy fell backwards and Lucille screamed.

Lucy was breathing heavily and soon, her eyes closed.

Lucy sat up on a bed in a shed. Her shoulder and arm were bandaged and she looked around and saw the wooden walls were enforced with steel, it looked like a bunker.

She heard footsteps and looked to her side and saw Luis. He smiled then she yelled,"Why did you shoot me?!"

He remained silent but put a tray of food before her and said she should eat. She pushed it onto his shirt and yelled,"I'm not eating until you tell me where my daughters are!"

"They're with Clark."

Lucy started hyperventilating then he said,"I need you to calm down."

"What?! You gave my daughters to the only person I wanted to protect them from, and shot me! Mo was right about you!"

"Just listen, I had to shoot you. Clark came to see you die so I led you to him then showed him what he wanted to see."

"And what about my daughters? He'll kill them!"

"No he won't, I won't let him. You lost a lot of blood, you'll need to replenish it."

"Not until I'm certain my daughters are safe."

He stood up and left then came back with her phone and showed her a live camera feed showing Lucille crying with her sisters by her side.

Lucy had tears in her eyes and said,"Does she need to cry?"

"If she doesn't, my brother would know something's up, no one knows you're alive."

Lucy didn't want to see the video anymore, she didn't want to see Lucille suffer like that.

She looked at him then said,"At least, let me see Tommy again."

"It's not safe for you to leave."

"Please."

He sighed then said,"Fine."

Lucy walked into the house and Luis payed a woman then asked,"Where is he?"

She said,"This way."

They followed her and Lucy asked,"You paid her? Why?"

"To take care of him."

She walked into the room and I widened my eyes as she ran to hug me. I cried as I looked at her, who was crying as well, she said,"I missed you so much."

"I missed you too. Wait, who is that?"I asked.

She remained silent then he said,"I'm Clark's brother."

I yelled,"What?! Lucy, what were you doing with him?!"

She said,"He is the one who payed the woman to take care of you, and is my new boyfriend."

Both he and I were surprised and I asked,"What are you talking about?"

She said,"I know you think of him as a bad person but..."

"Oh bad, I don't think of him as bad, in fact, let's recall what he has done, he injured many cops, kidnapped Lucille and tried to kill me, he's evil incarnate!"

"All to save me, Tommy, he does a lot of confusing things but all to save the people he loves, please understand."

"I...I need to be left alone."

"Tommy please..."

"I said leave!"

Lucy nodded then left.

Luis followed her out then said,"I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay, but can you do me a favour?"

"Of course my love."

"I know Clark will have Rose as his next target, but Tommy needs something to come back to, can you please take care of her?"

He looked away and said,"I only protect those I care about."

"But you care about me and I care about her, if you wanted me to be happy you'd do this."

"Okay, but also Tommy still has something to come back to, Aqua is still his."

"What?"

"The deed doesn't allow it to be taken out of Mark's family and I don't think the staff of Lightning flash would want to work for a criminal so they'd probably find a way to return to Tommy."

"Really?"

"Yes, we have to go now."

"No, can I stay with Tommy a little longer? I know he'll..."

"Like I said, it's not safe."

"But..."

Just then someone kicked down the door and several men rushed in trailed by Mr Nelson.

Luis said Lucy should stand behind him then Mr Nelson said,"You traitor."

"Clark, you've known me since we were kids, haven't you learned by now that I only work for myself?"

"Pity, we never got a family photo before you died, men, kill him."

They were coming forward and he brought out his guns. Lucy whispered,"Please don't kill them."

He replaced his bullets with rubber ones in jaw dropping speed then said,"Don't worry love, I won't."

She then saw men moving beside the window towards...

"Tommy!"She yelled.

She went to the room where I was hemmed by eight huge guys, she yelled,"Leave him alone!"

I said,"Perfect timing."

One of them ordered three of them to kill me while the others stopped her and she smirked.
