A Feeling

Everything felt off as he watched his dragons. Lance was unsure what to do , and he hadn't been sure of anything in years – maybe longer. So when a dragon in the form of a human with wings and armor burst through the window that had opened up in front of him without warning or invitation, he almost panicked.

The human seemed just as surprised, if not more so, by his appearance – which would have been fine, except then the dragon flew closer, and closer, until there was nothing between them except a single bed. Lance stared at him uncomprehendingly. The man who could only be said to be a knight stood there for several seconds before his eyes snapped open wide in realization.

The man looked at Lance in disbelief before shouting something incomprehensible into his own throat, and suddenly, he was no longer looking at Lance. Instead, the knight's gaze was fixed on the dragon, his expression full of fear and rage.
