My Legendary Weapon Can Evolve Infinitely!

Our discord server: https://discord.gg/d9z3CCEXWw The past, the present, and the future will all be connected. Human society will learn how things were in the past when gods walked among men and monsters roamed freely. When Earth was finally connected to the multiverse, the entire world erupted into chaos! It was as though reality itself was contorting to accommodate countless versions of itself. Astonishingly, it began to expand, stretching its boundaries beyond imagination. At that time, Jason was recovering from the betrayal of his girlfriend cheating with her supposed best friend. He looked for solace by retreating to a serene lake for a weekend of fishing. Craving solitude to deal with his thoughts, he wanted some peace. But as soon as he stepped out of his car, the ground convulsed violently. Much to his surprise, a mysterious system had been activated, revealing portals to alternate dimensions. Suddenly, Jason found himself thrust into the depths of a dungeon, a valuable treasure chest right before him. Within that chest was the Infinite Dagger—a legendary weapon capable of infinite evolution! From a mere dagger to a formidable sword and even transforming into a bow—its potential knew no bounds! Jason was surprised at his unexpected fortune, yet he understood that obtaining such a treasure wouldn't be without risks. No, crossing this dungeon would be a stroll. He stood at its precipice, facing a boss—a towering, purple-hued Colossus that looked like it came out of a fantasy world. To add insult to injury, he would need to get rid of the boss's minions. The real question remained: How could he, at level one, defeat the dungeon's boss?

Chapter 22 - Bonuses

Even before he could arrive in that part of the city, Jason realized that things were pretty… insane ahead. He saw destroyed bodies of people that tried to escape the area when things began to shift. They tried to run away, but it looked like they were hit by something sharp from behind, and that also ate their flesh.

"... A disgusting type of beast that likes human skin, but not organs and muscles," Jason muttered while showing a difficult expression. "It is difficult to get pumped after seeing a scene like this…"

Jason ran for a while more and found more corpses on the way. The monsters didn't discriminate against old people, men, women, and kids… they attacked and killed everyone they saw. All of a sudden, Jason heard the sound of more gunshots and dashed ahead… monsters were still around, and it was better to clean the path while they were busy.

After not so long, Jason found a group of monsters trying to climb a three-story building. There were some survivors at the top of the place, and a female officer was trying to kill dozens of monsters. It was amazing that she wasn't running out of bullets, but then Jason saw the bullets moving, and they were blue.

"She is using MP, I guess…" Jason thought.

As for the monsters, they were large, bird-like creatures with an imposing presence. They possessed a humanoid upper body, but its lower body transformed into a massive bird-like structure. Its body was covered in dark feathers that gave off an eerie glow in certain lighting. The feathers were predominantly black or dark purple, with hints of blue or green shimmering along the edges.

The beasts' heads resembled those of humans, albeit with several distinctive features. They had sharp, piercing eyes that emitted a fiery glow, and their faces were adorned with intricate, symmetrical patterns reminiscent of tribal markings. The monster's mouth was often wide open, revealing a row of sharp fangs and a long, serpentine tongue.

Thbeast's upper bodyst appeared muscular and powerful, with its arms ending in clawed hands. The monster's wings were expansive but quite thin, spanning a considerable width and covered in the same iridescent feathers as the rest of its body. The wing can be used both for flight and as a weapon, capable of generating powerful wind gusts or launching razor-sharp feathers at its enemies.

"I guess they can't fly that well…" Jason thought.

"What a newbie, she doesn't know how to use her points," Jason thought while shrugging.

It was amazing that she could use her skill that often, though, with so little mana regeneration she had. Then Jason checked her status again and confirmed that he was wrong… she had a bloodline that granted her high mana regeneration… Jason got him by almost dying, so he wondered how she got that… besides, how do spirits have bloodlines? They don't have blood.

While Jason was lost in his thoughts, the monsters finally realized his presence and thought that he would be an easier target. With their numbers, they would prove themselves to be a good exercise for his ax… Jason wanted to master that one as fast as possible, after all.

"Hey, you! Run away!" The police officer shouted.

Jason indeed ran away, but that was because he didn't want to show his transforming weapon to anyone. He turned left on the closest block, did that, and waited for the monsters to show up.

"The weapon is lighter now that my Power has increased, but those things are fast, and they can attack with their claws and beaks," Jason thought, increasing his Dexterity. I have to be fast and precise against them."

When the first beasts got close enough to attack Jason, they jumped and flew for a couple of meters to attack him from above, using their claws to grab and damage him and use their beaks to finish the job. As for Jason, he just waited for that and swung down the ax with all his might toward the beast and then pierced its face and crushed its beak.

The other monsters surrounded Jason and tried to bite him from the sides all at once, but he fixed his posture and then spun the ax in a half-moon swing. The weapon not only hit their necks but also beheaded them.
