"That is a freedom spell used when someone is trapped," Laura revealed, which made me glad.

"Now you know the words and pronunciation. Say them altogether."

"THOU UNBOUNDED LOOSEN FREETH SHALAM!!"

In an instant, the lock on the bars came off.

Laura added, "That is a freedom spell used when someone is trapped."

I ordered Laura to go back into the creation grimoire so I wouldn't faint while escaping.

"Correction, Laura does not live inside the creation grimoire; Laura is the grimoire."

"Then why do you always come out of the grimoire instead of transforming from the grimoire into you?" I couldn't believe it.

"Well, Laura can do both. She just chooses to come out separately so you can cast spells easier without looking at the words—since you're a dumdum." She didn't just say that to me.

"Enough!! Now get back!"

She obliged, and like a bright light soaring through the dungeon, when I looked, she was gone.

I noticed the guards coming, so I started hastening the other way, but guards were approaching from the other exit too. I tried hiding.

I wasn't sure what to do next. "Maybe I should place a distraction or something," I said, and then I looked down just to find the grimoire I was holding. "I can't drop my grimoire here," I whispered to myself. They were approaching closer and closer. I dropped the grimoire to make a sound and hide—it made a noise, but something else happened. "Let me try this out."

"THOU UNBOUNDED LOOSEN FREETH SHALAM!!"

As I dropped the grimoire, it opened, revealing the freedom spell. It sounded stupid, but what other option did I have?

What happened next mesmerized me. The spell didn't only work on objects but on living things too. After it was cast, all the guards turned around, like something was controlling them, and left the dungeon. Freedom, huh. This is awesome.

I continued my quest of getting out of there before the guards could recall what they were doing.

I finally got out. Now, should I go for my other grimoire or Angel?

Let me get my grimoire first, then go to Angel.

I fled towards the principal's office.

Meanwhile:

"What's going on? What are we doing back outside?" The spell led the guards back outside.

"Hope he didn't escape. Find him and capture him. No one must know he's still in this academy," ordered the Lead Guard.

"YES, SIR!" The other guards started the hunt.

They scrambled into the dungeon and found my cell open.

"Sir, he escaped."

"What do you mean, 'escaped'? Weren't you on duty? You aren't doing your job, and this can cost you your job! NOW, look for him! He might still be on the school premises," he ordered even more. Right now, they are sure I have escaped but hoping I haven't left the school.

I got to the principal's office, but fortunately for him, he wasn't there, or else he would have been beaten to a pulp. There wasn't time for that now, so I began searching for my grimoire in his locker and on the shelves.

I spent more than three minutes looking for it, and then I heard footsteps approaching. I peeped through the keyhole and saw the principal, holding my grimoire.

I didn't know what to do because if I ran, he would see me and alert the guards. I looked around and saw a rod close to his seat. I quickly reached for it and waited for him behind the door.

"Time for payback," I muttered.

As he entered, not noticing me, I hit him on the head. He fell unconscious immediately. "Very good."

I took my grimoire from him and fled, but I didn't check my surroundings before leaving. As I departed from the office, I was spotted by one of the guards.

"There he is! Get him!!"

"Oh, shit."

"Crap!" This was bad.

The shout alerted a bunch of guards, and they began pursuing me. While running, I looked for Angel, going from room to room, classroom to classroom, and even checking the toilets, but no sign of her. Finally, I found her in the sick bay.

"Angel, I have to get out of here," I whispered into her ear.

That startled her for a moment. "Sorry, my bad," I whispered again.

"How did you get—"

"Guards! Get him!!"

CURRENTLY

"Oh, shoot. Shut the door," Angel said hastily, dragging me inside and locking the door.

"What? How did you get out?"

"Laura gave me my first spell, and it's awesome. It's called the freedom spell, and it will free me from any lock, no matter what it's made of. I'll give you all the details later. We need to find a way out."

"The door is the only way out," she said.

"What about the windows?"

"Considering the floor we're on now, that would be a stupid and sure way to die," she replied.

"Come out! We saw you go in there, or we'll burst the door open. You have fifteen seconds!" These guards wouldn't even care if we were teens.

"We're trapped. Let me just go back." I wasn't ready to risk Angel's future of becoming a Supreme Enchantress.

"And everything you did will be in vain? No, you're staying here. This time we go down together."

"Open it up, Felix!" the Lead Guard directed.

Felix, a guard swordsman, used his sword to cut through the door.

"YES!! Meet your demise, boy!" the Lead Guard stepped in.

"Where is he?!" they couldn't find us.

"He must be in here. There's no way out except the door," Guard 1 commented.

"Search the room!" The Lead Guard wouldn't accept that I wasn't there—or was I?

The guards searched the room thoroughly for a minute and still couldn't find a trace of us.

"Somehow, he escaped. Let's check the other rooms before someone notices him," the Lead Guard finally conceded.

"Thank goodness they're finally gone," I said.

"That's a cool trick that could come in handy," Angel remarked.

Less than 1 minute ago

"We've got fourteen seconds left. Let me go out!"

"Yes, I insist. I'm not jeopardizing your future. Take my grimoires."

"Wait, my grimoire! I have a spell in my Light Grimoire called Unseen. I couldn't use it earlier."
