Chapter 55: Betrayal

Obed spat out his food after hearing the message from Florence. "Shit", said Obed. "I knew that something was not right", he continued. Obed immediately left the cafeteria and went to his dormitory. When he got there, he saw Wood sleeping. "This shit likes sleeping", said Obed. Obed immediately woke Wood up from his sleep. "Hey, I need your help", said Obed. Wood woke up and looked at Obed. "What now master", replied Wood. "Look, Joyce has been kidnapped and I need your help to find her", said Obed. Wood then got up and laughed. "Why are you laughing", said Obed. "Master, look Joyce isn't kidnapped okay", said Wood. Obed was shocked at the response Wood gave him. His friends then arrived at the dormitory and found Obed talking to his pet, Wood. "Obed, what's wrong", said Florence. Obed repeated what Wood told him earlier to his friends. "Then if she isn't kidnapped, where did she head to", said Michael. "I don't know", replied Wood. "But the only thing I can tell you is that she isn't kidnapped", he continued. Obed and his friends and a huge relief. "She's will be back in the evening, I think", said Wood. "Thank you", said Chris. Wood immediately went back to his sleeping position and went to sleep. "Well guys I think we should head for class", said Barns. Soon the group went their separate ways and headed for class.

Meanwhile, Joyce and her twin sister had just arrived at the place. "What is this place", said Joyce. "We are in the demon realm a few kilometers away from where Obed defeated the former demon king", replied her twin. Soon, a dark smoke started to rise from the ground, and groups of dark figures came out. Joyce was frightened and then activated her ability. She tried to use her ability to control the dark figures but they were blocked. "Who are you", said Joyce. "Welcome my daughter", said the dark figure. The dark figure instantly popped out from the darkness and her identity was revealed. Her mother was in a murky robe and had a dark staff in her hand. "Mum is that you", said Joyce as she approached her Mum. "Yes, it is me", said her mother. Joyce then run and hugged her mother tight. "Where have you been Mum? I was worried about you", cried Joyce. "I know, I know", said her mum as she wiped away Joyce's tears. "So Mum, why did you send my twin to bring me here", said Joyce. She told me everything and she even said that I'm a demon. "Is that true Mum", said Joyce. Joyce's mother nodded her head in agreement with her question. "Listen, we all know that your best friend Obed is the reigning demon king. Meanwhile, he hasn't yet risen to the highest rank. He has to face other demons and even face our lord, Satan", said her mother. "Satan still exits", said Joyce. "Yes. After God banished our master from heaven he decided to form a new group. He met a higher class of beings from another dimension and told our master to work for them and he shall be given the throne and a new army. Our master agreed and he was given a vast army which he was able to enslave countless people. Meanwhile, the only people we can't enslave is God's army", said Joyce's mother. Joyce was shocked by the story her mother was telling her. "Did you know that Obed's parents are God's", said Joyce's mother? "OMG, I didn't know", replied Joyce and her twin. "Then why is he the demon king", said Joyce. "That's why you are here. Our master, Satan, sent me to call you to bring Obed here so that we can take back what's rightfully ours, the demonic power", said Joyce's mother. "But now I'm I going to bring him here, will he even come", said Joyce. "You must lure him here", said the mother. "I can't mother", said Joyce. Suddenly, a figure appeared in the sky. "Who's that", said Joyce. That's our master, said Joyce twin. Joyce's mother and twin then bowed down to Satan. "I've been listening to what you have been saying", said Satan. Satan then turned his eyeballs directly to Joyce. "Joyce, do you want to be a demon king", Sia Satan. "Joyce was shivering when she saw Satan and she answered, "Yes, I want to be a demon king". Satan immediately shot something out from his eyeballs directly to Joyce. "What's happening to me", said Joyce. Joyce's dress was changing from her uniform to her demonic outfit. "Finally, you're now the demon king", said Satan. "Bring Obed here and kill him", said Satan. Joyce then gave a sick smile and said, "As you wish Master". Then Satan left the scene. Joyce then turned to her mother and sister and said, "I'm going to bring Obed here today. And I'm going to kill him one's and for all. "Now that's the spirit", said Joyce's mother.

"Ellen, transport her to her original world", said Joyce's mother. "As you wish mother", said Ellen. Ellen immediately formed a portal and Joyce jumped into it. Soon, Joyce arrived at her dormitory. "It's time to act", said Joyce. Joyce then left the dormitory and started to search for Obed. It was evening time and Obed and his friends were in his dormitory.

"When is Joyce coming, it's now 11:30 pm", said Obed. Then Joyce banged into the door. "Hey guys", said Joyce. Florence then approached Joyce and hugged her. "Where have you been", said Florence. "I went to see a friend outside the school", Joyce lied. "So why did the windows in your room shatter, because I saw broken window glasses on the floor", said Florence. "Can we talk about this later", said Joyce. Obed, can I have a word with you outside the school", said Joyce. "Joyce, you know we can't go out this late at school remember", said Obed. Joyce eventually started to show Obed her baby face and Obed sighed, "Alright, but only this evening and that's all". Joyce knew that she was making progress and she was close to bringing Obed to the demonic realm. Obed then got up and followed Joyce. "Can we come to", said Angel. "I'm afraid not", said Joyce. "But why can't they follow us", said Obed. Joyce then whispered to Obed, "it's a date" and she giggled. Obed then told his friends to wait for him that he'll be back in a couple of minutes. "Something is not right here", said Florence. Soon Obed and Joyce were out of the school. "So, what now", said Obed. "Obed, I would like you to send me to the demonic realm so that we can have our date". Obed was shocked by the words that came out from Joyce's mouth. "I'm afraid I can't do that", said Obed. "But why", replied Joyce. "The demonic realm isn't safe for you and that only who has a demonic ability can go there", said Obed. Joyce then thought to herself, "so is my plan going to backfire". Obed then approached Joyce and told her, "I'm sorry I can't let you go to the demonic realm. "Anyway, I need to head back to the dormitory, damn I'm feeling sleepy", said Obed. As Obed was leaving, Joyce used her ability to form a rope and capture Obed. "Joyce, what the heck are you doing", said Obed. Florence who was hiding in the bushes saw that Joyce had captured Obed. "What the hell is she doing", said Florence. She then came out from the bushes and began to rush to the scene but it was too late. Joyce formed a portal and took Obed with him to another dimension.

"JOYCE HAS BETRAYED OBED", said Florence.

NOT ONLY OBED, but SHE HAS also BETRAYED THE TEAM, she continued. Florence dashed out and headed to the dormitory.
