Chapter 7
Today's Thursday and I must commend myself because I've been doing my job correctly without much problems. Then I got a call from my dad at work
A=ATHALIA, D=DAD
A> Hey dad. what's popping?
D> Young lady do not use that on nei. still your father in case you forgot
A> I think I did. For a moment I thought you were uncle fin. That handsome, strong, daddy Uncle of mine that bought me a hu...
D> OK OK fine. How's my princess doing? And how's your new job?
A> I'm fine, I'm eating three tines a day that's why you can still talk to me. My new Job's kind of cool. Plus I made a new close acquaintance.
D> Hmmm! What do you mean by close acquaintance? I don't get you kids of the 21st century
A> Dad did you forget I don't make friends. I have only three friends and I don't need more traitors in my life
D> When are you going to learn to move on. Not everyone are like them you know? You're like Jason. I don't know what to do about you two.
A> Yeah right, not everyone is not like them. Like I said I'm not making friends again.
D> Your decision. Oh I called to ask if you're still coming to the house for your party
A> oh my goodness I totally forgot about it but I'll come for it. Who am I to say no to you?" I said as we both laughed. Then I remembered the promised visit to Nevaeh's house "Oh shoot" I said
D> What is it princess?
A> Its nothing dad. I'll come over to the house after work tomorrow. Trying to distract my father because he will draw the truth out of my mouth with a thick rope
D> OK. I'll be expecting
A> Talk to you later, I'm at work. Bye father
D> Bye daughter. He said as I hung up.
I called Nevaeh with the office line as she picked up almost immediately
N- Nevaeh, A- Athalia
N- Hey girl
A- Hi mamasita
N- How are you doing?
A- You just saw me this morning sis
N- Anybody can die within a second
A- Whatever. There's something I have to tell you and I hope you don't get offended. I have an appointment which I totally forgot about and I want to ask if we can shift our sleepover session to next two weeks
N- No problem as you buy me a whole lot of food then you're forgiven
A- Do you ever think of anything apart from food? Anyway I'll get it for you
N- That's my girl. Adieux lady. I just rolled my eyes as I dropped the phone in its place.

That secretary is driving me nuts. I can't stop thinking about her. I can't fall in love again and I never will. I don't even know what made me tell her she can enter my office without knocking. I'm getting soft and I'm not going to allow that. Soon I grabbed a bottle of alcohol and glass as I drank. Just the thought of her remains me of Ariel
Few minutes later, my door bursts open as I saw the burning gaze of my best friend Connor who snatched the bottle from me and kept it away.
"What is the meaning of this? I've been calling you for the past one hour and you're here drinking will others are working?
" Stay away from me till I'm completely healed" my drunk self replied
"Healed? From what i remember you're not sick"
" Healed from the spell casted on me by my secretary "
"I don't get what spell you're talking about and why... Oh my freakish god" realization them hit him hard" yo friend, Andrew are you falling for your secretary? "
" Who said I'm falling for her. Its just infatuation that doesn't want to go away that's all"
"Why don't you try giving that infatuation a chance maybe she's the one"
"Since you now give advice on relationships why are you still since" I said angrily knowing how hurt he would get. He's the opposite of me, he's being looking for a suitable girlfriend but found non worthy of being a future wife material.
"You know what? Face your problems yourself. I tried being a good friend bit this is what I get in return" He said as he stormed out of my office.
I stood up and grabbed the drink but before I drown myself in my alcohol, i called my secretary and told her to cancel all my appointments. I sat in my office drinking and drinking.
Its almost six when Miss Suarez came into my office to inform me of her departure. Then she saw me drunk and helpless in my office couch.
"Oh sir, why are you like this. I've never seen you like this, please stop this" She said as she tried taking the bottle away from me but she couldn't so she just left it and started cleaning up my office and by then I had finished my bottle about to take another one as she tried to pull me away. I didn't know what happened next, I just felt pain on my neck and blacked out.

I was surprised at my boss. I tried taking the alcohol but it seemed impossible so I knocked him out to avoid much stress so I used all my strength to pull him to my car mumbling 'Oh my God, I need to start working out and go back to practice I'm getting weak' as we got near the elevator which seemed like forever. I dropped him on a nearby sit, and started breathing heavily. I was fortunate to finish cleaning his messed up office at past nine, there was no one in the office so I carried him again to the elevator and set him down as I pushed the bottom for the first floor.
The door was about to close when a shoe and a hand stopped it and got in.
