CHAPTER 16

　　Edward looked at the men surrounding them with a sharp gaze. He whispered slowly in his earbud so only Rosie could hear him: “I’ll distract them, you leave.”

　　“Shut up.”

　　Her reply was worse than what he had expecte dand he shared a quick glance with her. The men came closer.

　　“Thanks for making our work easier… ex-agent. This has been a pleasure,” One of them said as he pulled out a gun and pointed towards him.

　　“I can kill you all and escape, you know that, right?” Edward wasn’t intimidated as he replied with a smirk. “I was in top tier of training. You’re not even in the same department, you pathetic fools.”

　　The man chuckled. A woman came out from behind him with a simple smirk on her face and stood in front of them.

　　“And what do you say about me?”

　　Rosie looked at Edward to read his expression, but he seemed perplexed by the woman. “What? Shocked, my dear?”

　　“No. I just wonder how many family members I have to kill today.”
