Home ground

Having being bought up in a humble and poor family taught me a lot of lessons in life. I was born in early 90s in a little known village in maasai land called Orkinyei, which means in our dielect language a strong tree which roots are hardest to uproot. Life was simple and charming, being bought up in a nomad pastoralist community and where wild animals are always nitch to your door step.

During my earliest years before I joined school, every morning we would wake up before early Birds sings in melody rythm, we take our meal of the entire day then we go and look after our dad cattles. We walk barefoot with only one shuka. On that very day we met with an astonishing scene whereby a group of lions came towards our cattle and remember a was just a little toddler. My older brother ours at least courageous enough to face the lions head on. On a brick of thoughts I got an idea on how to handle the situation at hand because in our tradition a man will not runs away and leave the cattle.
