My Hero Academia: Might Makes Right

Hello everyone! This is my first fanfic so I’m not going to make a proper synopsis. Instead I’ll list a few general points I feel might compel you to read this. 1) I can speak English! No ‘Courting death young masters’ here! 2) The MC will not be an egotistical douche or psychopath like every other MC in the FF’s here. 3) Now stay with me here, later on in the story (it will take a while) there will be romance. Not cringey (hopefully), but a well defined romance. That’s why it will take a while. I am most likely not doing a harem route fyi. I want the romance to mean something. Hard to do that with multiple people. 4) MC will NOT be OP from the beginning (but he still will be strong.). He will have to overcome hurdles, go through pain, and he might not even succeed in the end. He might lose people, he could go insane. I’m trying to make this FF as realistic as possible (as much as one could make a story about superhero’s could). Thank you for reading! Enjoy!

Chapter 7 - Normal High school Stuff?

Chapter 7 - Normal High school Stuff?

***********

The next day

As I made my way to U.A. for morning classes, I noticed a crowd huddled around the entrance of the school.

"Of course it's those idiots," I muttered under my breath.

What was supposed to be a peaceful morning, now became annoying.

Blocking and harassing people as they always do, the news reporters and media outlets were interfering with students trying to get into the school.

They kept searching for a student who had All Might as a teacher and was willing to do an interview about him.

It was a nuisance, and one of the main reasons I hated the media. The biggest reason I hated them was because in my previous life, when word got out that I was from an abusive orphanage, they surrounded my house for days, hoping for a scoop.

They didn't care how it affected me, my relationship with my friends, or my life in general.

Those parasites don't understand human decency and would never leave you alone unless you properly threatened them.

But knowing the future, I had a better idea to bring them down a notch.

I strolled to the side of the U.A.'s entrance gate and waved my hand in the air, "I have All Might as my teacher!"

And like a hungry pack of dogs, they came running towards me for a meal. Then without taking a breath, they barraged me with various questions, shouting over each other.

"How does it feel to have All Might as a teacher?!"

"Has he taught you anything valuable yet, or would his time be better spent saving lives like a real hero?"

"Do you think he's searching for a student to potentially teach?"

"Judging by your mask, are you the rumored Angelic Demon?"

My eye twitched at that last question, but thankfully I had my mask on to hide my reaction.

'I swear, when I find out who gave me that stupid name, I'll really be the demon they called me'.

Raising my hand to quiet them, "I know you all are excited, but please be mindful of the other students. You can't come here, bother the students, and then expect them to answer your questions.

But if it means you'll leave the others alone, I'll answer a couple of questions.

But remember, classes will start soon, so it will have to be quick. Also, I won't answer anything if people try to talk over me."

When they stayed silent, I took it as a verbal agreement.

"Yes, my name is Haku, the top scorer in the Entrance exam—

One of the reporters in the back piqued up "But that's not what they called you. He said your name was Angelic De- OUCH", but he was quickly silenced by the surrounding reporters.

Ignoring him I continued, "I am part of class 1A, and All Might is our combat class instructor. He teaches us with his usual jovial demeanor, but is strict when it comes to the importance of combat techniques.

Much like our other instructors, he thrives in a teaching environment with his plethora of villain subduing and victim rescue experiences."

And just like that, I continued answering their questions for around 5 minutes.

"And that is all the time I can afford to spare, but there is one more very important thing I need to say."

All the reporters whipped out their journals, ready to jot down what I was about to say.

I stared at them as I said, "I understand it's your job, but don't go overboard, show some level of restraint please.

You could disturb, and even jeopardize our campus life with your obsessive level of enthusiasm for any morsel of info. It's pathetic when you have no self control."

And before I saw their reaction, or let them have the last word, I walked through the entrance, towards my classroom without turning back.

There was obviously more I wanted to say to them, but that would come at a later day.

Once I eventually walked into Class 1A, I was greeted by some thankful faces.

Kaminari: "Thanks man, I saw how you brought the reporters to the side so we could go in. They wouldn't budge no matter how many times we tried to get past."

I replied, "Yeah, they're real parasites to society."

Sero: "You think so? But you handled them so well. I would have thought you enjoyed the spotlight. I know I would".

"Why would I enjoy hyenas that would bite me as soon as I turned around? They're not trying to help society, they just want their next big scoop."

Chihiro, who was listening to the conversation, said, "I agree with Haku, they're completely biased towards whatever earns them more views.

There are a lot of heroes who don't deserve the fame they get, but they paid the media to hype them up, and get them on the Hero charts."

Mina: "I think you guys are being a bit too harsh on them, they just want to do their jobs. And it's better than supporting villains, at least they're on our side."

I scoffed, "yeah well, I've seen how they tear up the social lives of people over basic rumors or mistakes. I hardly consider them humans, let alone humans that support heroes".

And like that, we carried on conversing about whether or not the media was actually useful to society.

Eventually, a couple of minutes later, Present Mic entered the class. When he reached the front, he did his classic backwards leaning pose while yelling-

"WHOS READY FOR SOME ENGLISHHH!!", and with that, our day started.

...….

Once morning classes were complete, it was time for lunch, so everyone headed towards the cafeteria.

I sat next to Tokoyami, Jiro, Kaminari, Mina and Kirishima, where we made some small talk while in between bites.

Jiro: "So Haku, why do I never see you pay attention in English class?"

"Simple, I already know English. My parents made me learn it when I was a kid since it would be useful when I was older".

Kaminari: "Maaaan, I wish my parents made me do that too. Then I wouldn't have to be studying it right now".

Tokoyami: "I don't think you are one to have the willpower to do that when you were younger".

The rest of us nodded in agreement, already fully understanding Kaminari's laid back attitude to life.

As the conversation continued, our meals were suddenly interrupted by the intruder siren alarm of the school going off.

*BEEP BEEP*     *BEEP BEEP*

The students, like headless chickens, immediately started scattering and screaming in fear with the thought of a villain attack.

'I thought I told those idiots to not go overboard with their jobs. I mean, I knew they wouldn't listen, but I still had some hope.'

Before my own friends started panicking like the rest of the crowd, I explained "Don't panic, it's just the reporters who barged in, not the villains. Look outside the front windows, you can see the teachers holding them back".

They turned around, and sure enough, saw Aizawa sensei, Present Mic, Cementoss, and other staff trying to hold back a group of hysterical reporters.

My friends stayed calm when they saw I was telling the truth.

To help the other students, I jumped onto the cafeteria tables, used 'Gaeia's Blessing', and then slammed my palms together to deliver the loudest clap I could.

*Boom!*

The noise echoed and air vibrated from the force it produced, and everyone paused to look at the source of the disturbance.

Once I had all of their attention, I explained once again, "Don't panic! It's just the reporters who barged in, not the villains! Look outside the front windows, you can see the teachers holding them back! Stop running over each other, and make sure no one is injured!"

One by one, they began to stare at the window I pointed out, and eventually all the students in the cafeteria calmed down.

When I returned to the table, Kaminari smiled and said "Nice one Haku, how'd you notice the reporters so quickly?"

"I talked to the reporters in the morning, I could see the hysteria in their eyes about All Might teaching at U.A. so I was expecting something to happen.

I even warned them not to do anything drastic, yet here we are".

Eventually peace returned to the cafeteria and everyone finished their meals.

When we returned to our classroom, Aizawa sensei lazily entered right after us.

Aizawa: "Okay everyone, in your seats and quiet down."

After 15 seconds of quieting down:

Aizawa: "Now then, our objective for today is…"

"Our objective is….?" Repeated the class in anticipation.

"To pick out a Class representative." Aizawa finished.

"Such a normal high school thing?!" Most of the class yelled.

Mina: "I volunteer as tribute!"

Aoyama: "Only the most dazzling person like me should do it". (I wish I had his confidence to say something so absurd with a straight face.)

Bakugo: "All of y'all are extras! I should do it!"

As everyone was shouting over each other, trying to nominate themselves, Aiazawa sensei cut in, "I don't care how you choose it, but you need to decide by today", then he swiftly went back into hibernation in his sleeping bag.

Iida: "Everyone! We should do this in a fair and democratic manner, so I suggest we we put it to a vote."

Multiple people complained, "but then everyone will vote for themselves" they said.

Then I decided to hurry along the discussion, "Iida's idea is the best. Let's just add a rule that no one can vote for themselves".

Murmurs of agreement traveled through the classroom, and everyone went silent as they decided on who to vote for, then wrote it on a slip of paper.

Once everyone was done, Yaoyorozu collected up the papers, counted them, and announced the results.

Haku - 15

Yaoyorozu - 2

Iida - 1

Todoroki - 1

Midoriya - 1

Bakugo, exploding where he stood, yelling  "WHAT?! Who the hell voted for Deku over me!" (Uraraka just casually whistled, trying to blend into the background).

I wasn't surprised I won, the whole reason I stood out in the cafeteria was to win this. I needed to be class rep for my plans in the future.

Sato: "I'm fine with this, Haku seems reasonable and dependable. Plus he's one of the strongest in the class"

Others agreed with his opinion.

Mina jumped up and celebrated, "Yeah! Way to go our angelic demon!"

'…Bruh'

I murmured in pain, "I'm going to suffer with that stupid nickname for a long time aren't I?"

Jiro: "Yup, at least until you get a better one"

Tokoyami: "It is a fine name that portrays both your viciousness and heroic spirit. Do not be embarrassed".

I creaked my head towards him, "you wouldn't happen to know who made the name, would you Tokoyami? By the sound of it, it seems like you do."

I might have gotten closer on my search because Tokoyami just coughed a bit and didn't say anything.

He also had a single drop of sweat rolling down his… forehead? Do birds have a forehead? His looks more like a spike of feathers. I wonder how he would look bald.

Sero interrupted my mental dilemma, "Since Haku is our Class Rep, that makes our vice rep Yaoyorozu".

Uraraka joyfully jumped, yelling, "Time for speeches!"

I got up and walked towards the front of the class, standing beside Yaoyorozu who was already at the front after announcing the votes.

Yaoyorozu got a bit flustered when the class started chanting for speeches, but firmed her resolve and gave the same one from the anime.

She talked about how she would work hard for the position she had been given and to not disappoint their trust in her.

When it was my turn, everyone turned their eyes toward me and I bluntly stated,

"People would usually start off their speeches with a spiel about how they will always be there to support you, but I won't.

Because I won't always help you."

And the class went silent as they tried to understand my unexpected words. Even Aizawa sensei opened one eye to get a closer look at me.

"Before leaning on someone for help, try to handle it yourself. Facing our struggles head on and finding solutions is how we grow and become better versions of ourselves.

How can you be a hero if you constantly need help yourself? True strength lies in the ability to stand tall in the face of adversity and to overcome obstacles with courage and resilience.

That being said, I want you all to know that you can trust me. In the moments where you truly need help, I won't hesitate in any way, and will do everything in my power to help you.

Because I know there will be moments in my own life where I'll need help, and I'm sure I can count on you all when I do."

And I said that sincerely because this world could get absolutely crazy at some points, and there was bound to be a time I needed help.

"That's pretty much it, thanks for voting for me."

*clapping noises*

Sero: "Whoo! Yeah!" Here's to our Class Rep and Vice Rep!"

"Looks like we're in good hands!"

Iida nodding, "I indeed voted correctly".

The next day

Aizawa sensei: "Alright, for today's Basic hero training, you will be learning how to deal with large scale disasters.

We'll be doing Rescue training, so we'll be heading to the USJ building.

'It's here.' I thought to myself.

'The 1st villain attack on U.A., and the first appearance of the successor of All for One, Tomura Shigaraki.'

To be continued

(A/N: Hope you enjoyed reading! Sorry if this character was a bit short, but that's because the next one will be a Big one. Spent a good amount of time working on that chapter.)
