Failure RE:W

Izuku exchanged his number with Chief Quinn and left the police station.

He found a quiet corner and killed himself, healing his knee.

"Ah, much better now."

He felt that he might have a use for Quinn later. On his way back, a thought popped into his mind.

'There was no way he was dating that many girls at once... Wait... Come to think of it... The lie detector didn't ring... Meh... He probably turned it off. But still... If it's true... Then maybe I wouldn't need to choose between Himiko, Kacchan, Itsuka, and Nemu- wait... Why did Nemuri's name even cross my mind?'

He definitely wouldn't be the same as Chief Quinn. To date someone behind their back was unacceptable, but... If they agreed to it, that would be fine, right?

Izuku shook his head and took a long walk home. He didn't have any money for a night bus or a taxi and he didn't feel like bothering his mom. She was working out lately and he was happy for her. He also wanted to clear his head and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Izuku took out his phone and looked at his Facebook. He saw that Iida sent him a friend request. He smiled and clicked on accept button.

'To think that he had enough courage to send me this. Interesting...'

As he walked on, he heard a scream from the side alley.

He looked towards the dark place and couldn't help but sigh.

'I thought I would have a peaceful night and yet, here I am again.'

He walked into the dark alley and decided to investigate.

As he walked in, he heard the voices of the attackers.

"Come on! Don't struggle too much! We were ordered to capture you!" one of the kidnappers put a tape on the girl's mouth and the voice of the girl was finally muffled.

"Grab her! We are leaving!"

The girl struggled and tried to escape but one of the men slapped her face and she quieted down or rather, started sobbing.

"Hey! Don't hurt her too much! The boss wants her untouched! Her quirk is priceless!"

"Yeah yeah, whatever... She was struggling too much so I had to give her a lesson."

The kidnapper trio grabbed her and wanted to leave the place but they noticed that someone was standing behind them. They turned around and one of them shouted, "Who the hell are you?! Hah? A kid?"

Izuku was about to save the girl but once he looked at her, he widened his eyes.

'Wait... Is that Yaoyorozu? But how can that be? Where are her guards?'

He looked at her face and saw a five-finger imprint on her cheek. He frowned and glared at the kidnappers.

One of the kidnappers pulled out a knife and waved it in front of him.

"You see this, brat?! One slash on your neck and you are done!"

Izuku smirked. It's been a while since someone called him a brat. It was a weird feeling, especially if you were thirty centimeters taller than the kidnapper.

"I advise you to let her go before something bad happens to you."

The kidnappers looked at each other as if they heard the biggest joke and started laughing.

"Careful everyone! A white knight has appeared! Haha!"

"Kids these days sure are funny. Seems like their faith in heroes is blinding their judgment!"

"Get lost kid! If your confidence comes from your big build then I can assure you, we are no pushovers either!"

Hearing the commotion, Momo opened her eyes and saw Izuku. A hint of joy flashed in her eyes for a few seconds before it disappeared.

Although she was relieved that Izuku planned on saving her, she didn't want him to get involved or else he might get hurt.

She bit the tape on her mouth and shouted, "Midoriya-dono! Be careful! Even though they are all quirkless, they have these cuffs that seal the power of quirks! I can't use my quirk at all! Don't go against them! You are no match for them! I don't want my benefactor to get hurt! Leave me here! My father will pay for whatever amount they want!"

Izuku was touched by her kindness. She was captured and instead of asking for help, she was still concerned about him. He lightly smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry. Everything will be over soon. Just sit back."

'It seems like I've almost reached my limit of summoning Blackie for today, it's been what, thirty times? Well, Leo was an anomaly. Usually, I don't need to summon him more than once. But I suppose it's a good way to train the quirk itself for the future.'

Izuku cracked his neck and summoned Blackie. The moment he spawned, he immediately hid in the darkness.

Izuku slowly walked up and faced the kidnapper's knife.

"Are you crazy? Do you really think I wouldn't dare to kill you, brat?!"

The man slashed towards Izuku's face but he dodged it effortlessly.

"You idiot! We don't have time for some brat! Quickly dispose of him or we are leaving without you!" One of the kidnappers shouted and threw Momo into the van.

"I am trying to, but he is too quick! Ah, damn it! Help me wit-!" The man turned around to ask for help but before he could, he was decapitated.

The kidnapper duo looked at his headless body in disbelief. It took them awhile to process what actually happened and they immediately fled into the car.

"What the hell happened to Harold?!"

"That kid somehow killed him! I am only doing this job for money! No way am I staying around someone this dangerous!"

One of them was too slow and before he could reach the van, Blackie pierced his stomach with his claw and tore him apart.

Seeing this, the last man got frightened and turned to Momo.

"I-I will use you as my ticket out of here! D-Don't you dare try anything or else I will kill you." He pulled her out of the van and placed his knife on her neck. He turned around and faced Izuku, "Don't move and surrender! Or else I will kill her!"

Momo shivered when she felt the cold knife on her neck and felt that she was about to die. She pleaded Izuku with her eyes to not make a move.

Izuku put his hands in the air and replied, "Alright, I surrender. Don't hurt her."

"G-Good good...Just like that! Remain there and don't you dare move!" The man slowly backed off together with Momo.

Izuku used this chance to ask the frightened man a question, "Who sent you to capture her? It had to be a big shot or else you wouldn't dare to kidnap the wealthiest daughter under the heavens. That just screams of recklessness."

"S-So what! I received a shit ton of money beforehand and I will receive even more, once I deliver her! I-I won't tell you who hired me as that would kill me."

Izuku looked at the man's stats and saw that there was indeed a curse on his body that prevented him from speaking any direct information about his leader.

'The same curse was on the person who impersonated my father. Well, that means I can just kill him since he is useless to me now.'

Izuku looked coldly towards Blackie's direction and urged him to finish that man. Blackie slowly moved from behind the kidnapper and pierced both of his eyes with his claws.

"AARGH!!!" the man screamed and dropped his knife on the ground. The pain from having his eyeballs squished was enormous and no human being could withstand such pain and shock. Blackie pulled both of his claws out of the kidnapper's eye sockets and placed his claws on both of the sides of the kidnapper's head. He used a bit of force and cracked his skull. His brain exploded and his lifeless body fell on the ground.

'I only went even with Leo because that fucker was unkillable. Blackie is a complete monster. Before I meet with Leo again, I need to think of a plan to beat him.'

No longer feeling the resistance on her neck, Momo turned around and saw the state the man was in. She never saw something so disgusting in her life. Not even death scenes in western movies were this gruesome. She looked at the remains of his brain on the ground and saw that the man's hand twitched as an after reflex of death.

Momo put her hands on her mouth but couldn't stop herself from vomiting.

Izuku went forward and patted her on the back. He saw two girls vomiting in one day. Nemuri and Momo. He felt really sorry for them.

After she was done, Izuku then commanded the invisible Blackie to destroy her cuffs after which, he pulled out a bottle of water from his inventory and gave it to her.

She rinsed her mouth with it and drank the rest of the bottle.

"Thank...you..." She mumbled.

Izuku looked at her scared eyes and sighed.

'The whole incident definitely left her scarred. Not only was she almost kidnapped by some thugs, but she also saw such violent deaths. That was partially my fault but I was angry when I saw how one of them hit her so I couldn't help but kill them all.'

At least that's what Izuku thought but in reality, Momo wasn't as worried about that. She was worried about something else.

'He is so strong that he managed to...kill all of them by himself without me, even seeing how he did it. I am just not comparable at all... Not only did I get beaten by three quirkless thugs, but I also doubted him. I didn't think he would defeat them. I am so stupid. I don't deserve to be a hero when I can't even defeat normal criminals who are handled by the police. I truly am a failure.' She clenched her fists and started sobbing again.

She was a delicate girl who wasn't used to the scary world outside of her cage. Even though Izuku gave her more courage, deep down, she was still doubting herself and today, she faced reality. She was weak.
