My Heart and Seoul (8): Who's That??

Well fuck.

Currently the boys were sat on the couch, trying to think of a way to not get the fans riled up. Jaehyun was fast and took the mic.

"Ah she's just a member of our staff! See she's just started with us! You'll be seeing her around so imagine her as SNOW's eomma!" What he said made me laugh.

It's true as their caretaker I'm kind of like their mom-figure just there to help them out. I guess speaking the truth was okay because the fans seemed pleased with the answer.

The boys continued to do their show as planned but close to the end of the show I got a call from Jisoo. Oh dear.

R: Hello?

J: I'm assuming you're at the live fan meeting now?

R: sigh yes I am. They handled it great, but this has potential to create hate so we have to do some damage control

J: I agree. Handle it carefully because this could have your job at stake.

R: I will. How about we do a signed giveaway to select fans? Distractions are good

J: actually that's a good idea I'll have the team work on it. Next time let's keep the surprises to a minimum.

R: definitely.

I sighed in relief as I got off the phone with Jisoo. She's damn good at her job though. She manages a lot of different groups but she still ended up seeing this really quickly. The boys had just about finished their show when I had hung up

"We love you guys!!!" Seungho screamed out, causing the fans to cheer loudly.

"And another thing. Our friends are very dear to us just like you guys so please let's treat each other fairly!" Yamato said with a kind smile. I think I saw one girl faint just now... the power of a smile I guess. The thought made me chuckle as the boys bowed and left the stage

"Phew okay that was close." Daehyun said sighing in relief.

That was actually close. I'm glad they don't have my name or anything because this could spiral way out of control. Clearing my head of those thoughts we made our way back to the van and started our journey directly to the studio where Idol Master was being filmed. We were pressed for time cause the fan signing took longer than we'd originally planned it to be. The boys loved their fans so much they stayed and did a few more songs. After a little rushing we made it at the studio for 1:30. I had taken some painkillers in the morning for my leg but now the sore feeling had returned full force making me wince when I took a step.

"Hey are you okay?" One of the make up artists said looking over at me. She was a friendly woman so I started chatting to her as the boys were getting ready.

"I'm fine, just sore nothing I can't handle." I reassured her sitting on a nearby chair.

Well at least I thought so, until my leg started practically throbbing in extreme pain. I couldn't simply take off my pants to check so I just popped in some painkillers and waited. It subsided for a while until the boys were done with the recording. They headed out and I was barely able to put pressure on it to walk.

"Here." Minjae said bending down piggy back style offering to carry me to our van. I'm supposed to be their caretaker and I'm the one who needs care my goodness.

"It's fine it's just a few steps." I said limping over to the van. The boys frowned but said nothing until we made it back where Jisoo was waiting for us.

"Hey Rae's leg isn't doing well someone should take her to the hospital." Lamon spoke before I could get a word in. Sigh maybe he's right.

"Hey we can take care of ourselves for a little bit just go and get better." Jaehyun said poking my side, me being ticklish laughed making him smile in return.

Seohyun had to leave work early to pick me up and take me to the hospital. A great thing was the company offered to pay for my medical expenses because I saved the boys the night before so I didn't have to worry about it.

"You really are too stubborn for your own good. One day I'll get grey hairs because of you." Well I wonder where I heard that from before.

We waited for a little bit until I got checked out. Turns out the guys knife was really cheap and a tiny piece of it broke off in my leg, and there was an infection because it was rusty and disgusting. They pulled out the tiny piece of metal much to the horror of my terrified of blood friend, who immediately turned around once she saw the bloody tweezers. It kind of made me laugh, her being scared of blood was pretty funny. I remember I had a nosebleed once and she acted as if I was dying.

Whilst I was waiting for the doctor to come back with my meds I saw Lishi walk in with a tall steel wall of a dude. I think his name was Minho.

"RAE I SWEAR TO-" She noticed there were other sick people around and refrained from shouting but I could see the look in her eyes. One that said "if you weren't in pain I'd hurt you myself". They walked over and saw the cut was an off colour and the area around it was swollen.

"That's a nasty cut." Minho said turning slightly green at the sight.

"If someone," Lishi paused to glare at me, "stopped at the hospital last night this would've never happened." I gave a sheepish grin in response. What can I say the devil hasn't stolen me yet.

"Next time this happens I'm calling Aunt Ina, And both of us know how she is." Oh god no she'd be on the first plane here, after having a heart attack.

"I'll take better care." I said more seriously this time. I should heed their advice.

After a couple stitches, painkillers plus antibiotics and orders from both Jisoo and the doctor to not strain my leg with too much activity for a couple days I was let go. Lishi got a ride with Minho to which I wolf whistled.

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do kids." I laughed wiggling my eyebrows. Lishi simply punched my arm and told me to shut up, but I could see the grin.

Both cars stopped by a fast food place so we could get something to eat when I remembered something.

"Wait the boys don't have anything to eat!" I exclaimed. Seohyun looks at me with raised eyebrows.

"Aren't they all old enough to feed themselves?" Seohyun said. I saw one of their cooking videos on VLive, let's just say I'm just glad Daehyun is there because they'd burn their dorm down if left alone.

"Well be seeing their dorms in flames on the six o'clock news if we left them by themselves." I said looking over their schedule. I quickly got out my phone to text Jaehyun.

R: Hey Im coming with foooood.

J: what???

R: I have KFC for everyone since theres  no normal lunch.

J: what about your leg! You don't have to go that far for us!

R: fine not as a caretaker but as a friend I'm bringing fried chicken. You aren't gonna turn away a friend right? 😭

J: fineeeeee but be careful!

R: yes sir! Be there in a bit.

"And what are you smiling at young lady?" Seohyun said turning to drive back to the Double B building.

"Nothing much." I replied still smiling.

There's something about Jaehyun that makes me smile sometimes. Interesting.

Once we exited the car, I realised I left my bag inside Seohyun's car. Minho and Lishi went up without me, they didn't even notice what was going on because they were still deep into their conversation. I managed to get my bag out and turned to see Jisoo near the doors talking to someone, I could only see the persons back but he had broad shoulders. His hair was styled professionally pushed up and the dark brown looked good on his pale skin. Then he finally turned and I got a good look at who he was.

My god it's him. The guy that saved me from the creepers at the airport and disappeared like a Knight. What in the world is he doing here? Wait what if he works here... my thoughts were racing at a million miles per minute as I tried subtly passing them. I was almost at the door before I heard Jisoo call out my name.

"Ah Rae let me introduce you, this is Choi Seunghyun he's from the gaming company J.K Industries, he's creating a game with our idols." I sighed for a second before turning.

His face went blank for a second possibly trying to figure out where he knew me but after a second his eyebrows raised in surprise. I guess he remembers me, I shook his hand and I was surprised at how soft his hands were. Damn what's his skincare routine. He was dressed impeccably today as well and I got to see an up close version of his jawline. He could cut me on that jawline my goodness.

"Nice to meet you again." He said as he retrieved his hand with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you again too, thanks again for helping me out before." I said returning his smile. He doesn't look as frosty as he did back the airport he's more approachable now. Jisoo looked slightly confused at our exchange.

"Oh I bumped into him at the airport on my first day here and he helped me out." I explained making her nod in understanding. She didn't say much more and motioned for Seunghyun to follow her to her office.

"I'll see you soon." He waved. See me soon? Oh right he'll be visiting the company building lot. I finally turned back to Seohyun who was dumbfounded.

"D-do you know who that is?!" Seohyun stuttered our in surprise. I motioned for her to continue. Wow Seohyun speechless is something I don't see every day.

"That's my CEO! He's notorious for being practically emotionless, almost rude and he's as sexy as sin." She finished. Oh shit. I didn't know he was Seohyun's boss.

We went up to see the guys, and I noticed both mine and Lishi's group had gathered together in one of the practice rooms with the food and some extra food that the guys had with them for snacks. All in all there was about 15 of us. We kind of split into the older and younger people, with Lishi choosing to talk to the younger ones because she and Seungho both had interests in photography and he had an expensive canon camera. After a while I needed to use the bathroom so I exited quietly and headed out the door only to smack face to chest with none other than Seunghyun. He looked to be exiting a meeting room since the meeting rooms are just down the hall.

"Oh sorry there." I said about to move past him to get to the bathroom. Before I could leave he looked in at the sight of both of the groups having fun.

"Huh what's going on here?" He said as he was looking in.

"Oh we're all just having some KFC." I spoke checking the time casually. We've all been talking and laughing for a while now it's already 8pm. Usually the guys would've had a dance practice and studying by now but I can spare them the day off work. They've done a lot in the past two weeks from what I saw of their previous schedules. Then Seunghyun drops a question I never thought I'd hear.

"KFC? What kind of food is that?" He said curiously. I scanned his face to see if he was joking. Nope his face was stone cold confusion and curiosity.

"Have you never had fried chicken before?" I was in disbelief. I mean I get parents that raise kids on a strict healthy diet and such but I've never met an actual person who's not eaten the standard fried chicken. Except for this one girl who was gluten intolerant and allergic to the flour used in most fried chicken.

"I've always only eaten korean food." He said. I told him to hold on a moment and quickly went to the bathroom because I couldn't hold it in anymore. Less than so minutes later I had washed my hands and came out to see him still there.

"How about you join us if you don't have any other plans?" I figured why not invite him. He might even like the food. There was still plenty left. He looked like he was debating this mentally as his facial expression changed to a thoughtful one before he nodded.

"Ah thank you if you don't mind having me around." He said.

"Oh don't worry about it." I gestured for him to come in with me.

"Hey what took you so long?" Lishi said once she saw me coming in. Because of the door angle nobody saw Seunghyun yet. But once he walked in they all got kinda quiet looking him over before resuming their fun. But Lishi looked at me with that look that said 'what the hell is going on' so I left Seunghyun with the only responsible one, Minjae, and pulled her and Seohyun to the side.

"Who's that?!" Lishi said looking over at Seunghyun who was chatting with Minjae. Their entire conversation was in korean about some of their favourite audio books.

"Well I bumped into him and he said he never tried fried chicken so I thought why not invite him. He's nice." I said.

"He's like a freezing block of ice how in the world is he nice?!" Seohyun said with surprise. Well isn't that weird he's been incredibly nice to me so far.

The girls sat on my right and on my left was Seunghyun who was looking at the chicken as if it was about to resume being alive and snap at him. It's kind of comical really. I laughed and nudged him to try some. He picked up a wing and took the most elegant of elegant bites out of the wing. Even dabbing away the oil from his lips with a tissue. He didn't say anything. But the growing smile was more than enough confirmation that he enjoyed it. Whilst he was enjoying the food I looked over to see Jaehyun and Daehyun with two six packs of beer in each hand.

Then a six word sentence was uttered that would eventually send our night into a steaming hot mess.

"Hey let's play a drinking game!"
